Ive owned my MKS since it was brand new. She is the very top of the line, not an option missed, has the 20” chrome wheels. Which looks great with the maroon red she’s rocking!! I baby it, maintain it to a T…….. annnnnnd I’m getting my third engine installed the last week of March. Oh, how many miles? You’re thinking “wow that thing has some high high miles probably!!” Well, y’all, you’d be WRONG. She has 83,000. First engine went out at 40k, second went out with 43k on it. Lincoln/ford built these 3.5 twin turbo ecoboost engines KNOWING the issue they have. What happens is the water pump moves back over a little time, leaks into your oil and KA-BOOM!!!!! Thank god she was still under warranty on the first blown motor BUT Lincoln tried every trick in the book to get out of fixing it, but they didn’t succeed!!! Now I’ll be dishing out 10,000 to my mechanic for the third motor!!!! I had a Cadillac CTS at the same time, I sold it a couple years back because IT was getting ready to blow🤣🤣🤣🤣 and I know you’re probably thinking “this chick must rag on her cars,” well, SHOCKER…. I DONT!!!!! I own a 1998 Camaro Z28, bought it brand new (with intention to keep it for a classic, yay we made it last year) she still looks and drives like the day I drove it off the showroom floor!!! If I want to go fast and have some fun, I take that girl for a spin….. but I only drive it four months out of the year, and usually once maybe twice a week or two. So, here’s to the third motor…… ya better last🤣🤣 or I’ll have a crash up derby in my fields with the damn thing!!!! She’s beautiful but DAMN SALLY!!!! Oh BTW…… NOT a fan of the wood grain 🤢 glad mine has the carbon fiber trim!!
@@FinnesJewels-ue1tq 🤣🤣🤣 ohhhh believe you ME, I looked and looked!!!! I even went and test drove an Audi A5 convertible, a Lexus 300 class, another Cadillac CTS, and a XTS. The only ones I like were the Cadillac BUT I just won’t go down that road again. Those motors are good until they hit 100,000 then you HAVE to get rid of them, absolutely junk after that. I’ll tell you what the deciding factors were on putting this third motor in: 1. Everything out there is junk and way over priced. 2. I was in a pretty bad car accident years ago and the MKS has been the ONLY car since that made me feel like I’m safe!!! It’s a land yacht 🤣🤣🤣 so that’s why I’m doing this🤷🏼♀️ and the damn thing looks showroom floor clean in and out!!! Not a scratch on her, not a wrinkle in a seat, not a stain on the floors. She’s perfect…… everything but the motor🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷🏼♀️🤦♀️ hey, hopefully it’s lucky number three!!!! 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
I clicked the video and saw you guys and thought "good grief I have shoes older than these guys!" but you did a pretty good job. I have a new MKZ with the 3.0 400hp engine and love it. Keep the videos coming guys good job. EDIT: No videos in a year, so I guess you guys gave up.
5:07 FORD did a great job on this vehicle....1st and 2nd Gen. I have the THX system in my 2014 BUT it is NOT as advanced as the 09-12 version. Can't play DVDs but it does have more power. Too bad Lincoln doesn't make passenger cars anymore.....just SUVs
@@jes5915 Not hate. 150hp is an extreme increase for stock drivetrain parts. If it's hard to comprehend that then you clearly haven't dealt with a real car.
@@keanandelarosa1329 actually they hold up very well. I worked for Ford for a long time. I've even seen 60k miles and more at 600 horsepower level Taurus sho's with no breakage. Anything can break at any power level.
@@bdrgarage7039 the SHO is also designed to handle any power above normal. It's a performance minded trim. I'm not disagreeing with you but you're comparing stock stock to stock performance. It's like the nv3500 on my truck. Stock 262 makes anywhere from 98-130hp. If I throw the same engine in making almost double to triple that I would have to prepare my power train for it.

They are definitely capable of holding high power for a while. Like my Mustangs that had T5, supposedly good for 350 torque and I had 550 w/torque for five or six years and never blew it up and that was with regular track the visits. All I was saying is they hold up better than most people think.
If I have a 2016 Lincoln MKS with the EcoBoost. I wanna increase my horsepower what are some ideas I can if some ideals I can use to do that. If also how much horsepower can I add to my vehicle before I have the tomb the transmission

Did you guys steal that car lol ... I have the same car it’s a great car watch out for the PTU all wheel drive transfer case has about a quart of oil you have to change it every 10,000 miles or it’s going to burn out the oil turn to sludge
Stole his dads car for the day and made a video about about nothing. Everything they mentioned about this car is stock, except for the wood-grain accessory added around the gear shift. Lol! I know because I have the same car.
@Jimmy the budget builder the stuff from the factory is real wood per Lincoln's dealers. www.billknightlincoln.com/2014-lincoln-mks-interior-features-in-tulsa-oklahoma.htm. I have heard that the clear coat application makes it look too fake and it has caused a lot of negative feedback.
Ya 500hp is right... its called a tune. Most of the ecoboosts respond awesome to tunes. They are talking crank hp not whp. Twin turbos make hp come easy...
