    Thank you thank you thank you. I got ZERO direction from my physician or the pharmacy. In fact, the pharmacy didn't even tell me it needed to be refrigerated. I had so many questions. This was very helpful. You are much appreciated.

    I received my Ozempic almost 3 weeks ago. I have been very hesitant about taking it. I looked at the pen but I did not know what to do. I finally contacted the pharmacist for instructions even though it was on the box.The pharmacist stated that she could show me how to use the Ozempic. I could not go due to some physical complications. I contacted my nephew who brought me to this you tube video. This video was exactly what I needed.

    Thank you so much for this video. My doctor gave me no instructions whatsoever, and when I asked my pharmacist how to use this, she simply said instructions are in the box and that it is easy to use. It almost seemed as if she couldn't be bothered to actually do her job! I was scared, and even checking Ozempic's website offered no further instructions. I put off my first dose for a week before I found this video. I just took my first dose. Your video gives me some comfort that I might have done it right. One thing, though, The Ozempic website and packaging says you shoule NOT cover the dosage indicator with your fingers when injecting, as that could affect the amount of medicine you receive.

    • @spicybrown75
      @spicybrown75 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pen has a built in feature that it will click after the dosage you had selected has been dispensed, as she mentioned in the video. After the click, you keep your thumb on the plunger for another 6-10 seconds to ensure all of the medication has a chance to be injected.

    This cleared up the confusion I had when I looked at the Quick Guide on the box. It needs to be re-done. Turning to the Flow Check Symbol ( .. _) is a very small turn. I saw a very small dose/bubble and assumed it was primed, it was not and I wasted a week to administer the second (really the first dose). Never having given myself an injection, I thought the tine pin mark I saw was a success, and, of course it wasn't. Even the well intention-ed arrow, as drawn, could be construed as turning either clockwise or counter clockwise. Removing the needle after the dose was not clear, it did not indicate the large outer cover was the only one to simply pull it off (I tried to piggy-back the inner cover and the out cover, and it wasn't working ... I even stuck myself). For a first time, nervous user, like myself, the instructions failed. Come on Novo Norodisk, you have the current medication Golden Goose, spend some money on technical writing, and illustration. A fail.

    It stung slightly after I pulled it out, probably because of the medication itself. But then I was fine... The area (thigh) is slightly sensitive, but nothing I can't handle 🧡.
    Next week to pluck up my courage for round 2. It'll take me awhile to be comfortable with this 😅.

  • @karidawn4447
    @karidawn4447 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    What does it mean if it didn't return to zero, but a dash instead?

    • @marym8028
      @marym8028 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      When you start using a new pen, you turn the dial to the dash and press the button while holding the pen in front of you. If a drop appears, fine, then turn the dial to your dose, .25 or .50 or whatever. If a drop does not appear, turn the dial again to the dash and repeat, until a drop appears. This is to clear any air out of the applicator. This must be done with each new pen at the beginning of the first use only.

Does anyone know if the ozempic leftover fluid is more of the same, or is the ozempic in the needles themselves? This confuses me...
