  • The Royal Navy is converting a Royal Marines 'mothership' Bay-Class that will see troops constantly ready for action.
More than £50m will be spent converting a Bay Class support ship to deliver a more agile and lethal littoral strike capability.

In my limited opinion, the Bay class appear to be a vast improvement on their predecessor, however in my said limited opinion, think we need a couple of decent LPHD's to achieve our government's ambition plans of being a global Britain!

Ocean was at the end of her planned service life of 20 years and did not cost anything like £1 billion. £154 million in 1993 which equates to £320 million today, about the same as a light frigate. Very basic, cheaply built and in poor condition thanks to the hard life she led. They certainly got their money's worth out of her but she was most certainly life-expired by RN standards.

Was looking to subscribe to a channel like this. Pretty good video. But a couple of points put me off for now.
    1. Spamming the subscribe. It was irritating just once. Spamming it put me right off watching any more vids.
    2. The use of footage of different classes of ships, as if they were the subject class. Just put up some stills if you don't have enough clips to cover the whole video. Limited footage I don't mind. Misleading I do.

So how many ships are we gonna have? One or two? We should stop foreign aid and stop giving out benefits to those who come here from other countries who haven't paid in to the system and start putting money back in our armed forces and emergency services.
