People don't understand that in the US the Marines work this way. Infantry Marines, Recon Marines, Force Recon Marines and the most elite of the Marines are the raiders or better known as Marsoc, it is the only special operations unit of the Marines. So I don't understand the surprise of most people when they put the Royal Marines who are considered almost a special force compared to the US Infantry Marines who are only aquatic infantry, they are not like the other forces I mentioned. Wake up However, my respects to the excellent British soldiers are to be admired wherever they go.

As a Brit I think this is a bit unfair. The truth of this was made clear at the time. It was regular U.S Marines VS British Commandoes. If it had been Royal Marines Commandoes Vs Seals it would be more note worthy. Im sure if you put Seals against regular British infantry it would be much the same.
