That original bracket looked like it was a tad bent on the upper tab from sagging for so long. But also very hard to tell from watching from my phone lol.
I believe the top bushing shoukd be inserted from the bottom side so the flange of the bushing is fa e to face with the moving hinge piece.

How well is this setup holding out a year later?
The bolt on kit is holding up perfectly, like the day we put it on.
what brand is that one? i bought the ones like in your first video, so ill go this route if those dont last
