- One of the best weeks of the year is here. The 17th annual summer FUN coin show. We hit the show and take some things with us to try to sell. One being the complete Morgan Dollar Collection. We get some good news and maybe some not so good news check the video out and if you like the content give us a thumbs up and subscribe.
The dealer that spotted the fake was sharp and a good person.
That guy that sold you the Morgan collection definitely knew that coin was fake in my opinion.... He probably has several of them and puts them in the complete sets to mask the scam. Probably travels the country trying to pawn them off on pawn shops... You guys should have taken the 10,000 dollar offer in the beginning, then you would have made 1,000 dollars not knowing the coin was fake... Lessons learned here... Thanks for sharing and the genuine honesty you bring...
You have no basis at all to say that... you sound so absurd. When people by complete books the first thing they do is check the rarest and most expensive coins in the book... no way possible would they just hope it gets overlooked that is so absurd.. I guarantee the guy didn't realize it was a fake because some of them are so good it's almost impossible to tell. Don't make ignorant comments

@@eastcoastmetals2757man I agree but don’t. If you know the person you’re selling too isn’t a coin guy he would be the perfect target. However you are right when you say they go to the rarest first. But when you watch the video you can see he was unsure about the collection so coming down on the price was easy for him. However you could be 100% correct 🤷🏻♂️

That 93s was a bummer but if you go back to my very first comment on the video when you bought them, i was truly convinced by the color that it was not good. I gave my newest opinion after watching this video. ✌️

Morgan's are a favorite of everybody. No matter what. They are always in demand. Always keep a eye on don't let them rush you. Take your time.

Im a new coin collector so Im super careful what I buy and from who… any coin over $1000 Im buying a slabbed example but even then you can get scammed… Love your videos, thanks for all you do!
Nice show man. I went and ended up buying two Rolex datejust. Every year I try and buy something cool.
Also it’s cool you go with your dad. My girlfriend and I went the first day and the second day my dad and I went.

Best of luck on the MS Morgan journey. I started a year ago collecting everything in Fine or better and I am down to the 1893-S remaining to get. It’s a fun set to put together but the last 10 coins are gonna cost you a fortune! Someone told me to start with the most expensive and fill in the rest later. I didn’t listen and now the most expensive keeps going higher and higher.
Lots of wheeling and dealing goin on there. My head spins. 😮

My son is a Senior Chief in the Navy. When he made CPO I asked him when the CPO was established and he told me 1893. I was going to try to give him an 1893 Morgan til I found out how much they are and how difficult they’re to come by. We ended up getting the 2.5oz Navy coin. Lol I like it. Unfortunately for me though I missed the 2.5oz USMC which I’m trying to get now.

You've inspired me to start a Morgan Dollar collection of my own, but I worry about all the fakes out there. If experts have a difficult time spotting the fakes, it's a big risk for the beginner. I'll start with the more common Morgans first. Thank you for your show!
