I go through phases with my EDC combos, but the last few weeks I've been carrying the Vic Climber Plus, with the Leatherman Squirt PS4, both in black - nice sleek black & silver combo. The scissors spring on the Squirt broke so there isn't really much redundancy. I like my Knipex Cobra XS but at the moment I prefer the smaller form factor of the Squirt.
The Leatherman Squirt is a great little tool for the keychain. I often carry the PS4 in blue in combination with my blue Fenix E01 V2.0 - the Climbler plus is definitely a great choice. I have to think if I have to integrate this tool in my EDC rotation 😁 have a great start to the week
My EDC is Victorinox -- either a Huntsman or a Swiss Army 7. My MDC (most days carry lol) typically includes a Leatherman as well, on the belt. If it's not on my person then it's certainly in my daily carry pack. Maybe overkill to have both on me, but I do run into cases where one or the other is the preferred tool for random tasks throughout the day.
MDC is great 😁😁😁😂😂😂 I like my Huntsman very much. Normally I carry the Victorinox Deluxe Tinker and a Victorinox from the 58mm series 😁 have a great start to the new week
Superbe vidéo je suis Suisse et je préfère nettement le Victorinox sans être chauvin après c’est toujours une question de goûts après je n’ai pas la prétention de dire que c’est les meilleurs couteaux du monde mais c’est surtout une question d’utilité.
I'm a big fan of victorinox. I have sak ranger, huntsman, a classic. My multitool is a gerber slip pliers. I've had it for years. Using a multitool for cutting wires. Only for soft wires. Anything heavier wire cutters. You have great ideas. Thank you.
Swisstool or Spirit X is generally expensive, but If you get it at same price as Wave or Rebar then it is a no-brainer. But, there is an additional aspect that is in Rebar, which is option of using a bitkit that fits on the square philips on it, Spirit X does not give you that ability but it has one the most unique tools in the chisel+Electrical knife+package opener tool which in my opinion is the best tool. Tool for tool, Spirit is so much above any single tool by any company except maybe Crunch - If I were to EDC - my best combo would be compact + Spirit OR compact + Crunch. (which has the vise function in it) Other notable combinations could be Compact + Knipex, or Workchamp + Knipex, Spirit + Swisscard. Arc + Swisscard, Wave/Charge + Swisscard.
I agree with you 🧰 there are so many excellent options on the market and the Victorinox SwissTool Spirit is one of my favorites, too. The fit and finish is excellent and the new clips from Victorinox are a great addition 🧰
If taking out a plier based multitool for a rough journey I tend to go for the Surge because my Swiss Spirit is just too darn beautiful. 🙄🙈 But in truth more often I will just grab my EvoGrip S17 or similar and pair with the small Knipex plier.
I agree with you 😁 the Leatherman Surge is a heavy duty tool for hard tasks. I love to carry my Knipex Cobra XS in combination with a Victorinox EvoGrip S18 🤝
Moin Clemens, ich würde mich wahrscheinlich am Ende, wenn ich müsste, für ein Victorinox Multitool entscheiden....aber ich mag die Leatherman Multitools auch sehr, mit beiden Marken macht man nichts verkehrt. 🙂 LG Stephan
Guten Abend Stephan, vielen lieben Dank.
Victorinox: 1 Huntsman 1.3713 (EDC) 2 Outrider 0.8513 (outdoor activities) 3 SwisstoolX plus 3.0339.L (always in car boot for emergency fixings...) Leatherman? (Surge, Free P4, and Arc) Pointless after you get your hands on a SwisstoolXplus with bit ratchet and they become not an option anymore after "make america great again" = import fees. Go to better deals of Chinese Great Star made spin offs like Ozark trail, Daicamping, Bibury, Swisstech+, Mossy Oak for a fraction of Leatherman and no fees. But, spend wise, get a Swisstool you will be happy.
I agree with you. The Quality and the fit and finish of the Victorinox SwissTool series is amazing. But I like the Leatherman Tools, too. Especially the older models before 2004 🧰😁 best regards Clemens
If Victorinox used a harder steel in their tools, they would be the easy winner for me. The soft steel is a huge turn off even though I LOVE their tools.
Good video! It makes sense to pair V & L tools...one is better equipped that way....
I agree with you 😁 the combination is EDC perfection because of the different tools 😁🧰 thank you for your kind words

Maximalists = Leatherman Minimalists = Victorinox. jk. Jokes aside, Vic any day. It's the most pocketable.
If I had to decide I would choose Victorinox, too 😁
@@Dracomies right on the money. The SAK compact is probably one of the easiest to carry with a very functional toolset. Hangs on the neck all day.

Thank you so much your kind words 😁 I have a Gerber MP600, too - it’s a great workhorse and for the hard tasks I use the Knipex wire cutters
I use Victorinox Fieldmaster and Knipex Cobra XS for EDC

For EDC a SAK.
For work or a tougher job a leatherman.

I won't be too surprised if they do that soon! It seems they have a few ideas on the go. Let's hope so! 👍

I always have a leatherman charge and a victorinox soldier knife with me. For me, during a normal day, good enough.
I love the Charge series from Leatherman. The TTI is one of my most used multitools ☑️🧰

I really like the Victorinox quality and the Leatherman functionality. Do you think there is a Porsche on the multitool market 😉?
Simple for me. If I need pliers I go with Leatherman if not Victorinox.
The Leatherman pliers are really good 😊 I love the models with the replaceable wire cutters
Victorinox for me. It's just less American-ey. And we need more of that. 😂
