Five fantastic SAK picks for your edc. In my rotation is always a Climber, a Compact, and an Explorer, they are the staples. I have a Ranger in my vehicle 24/7 and another in my outdoor pack also 24/7 but as big as they are I don't edc them. On my keychain I've been carrying a Signature Lite for the past three years (a Classic on the keychain before that for many years) and no change in sight so that is my fourth edc. Since Labor Day past I have been carrying an Executive almost daily, either as a main or backup carry, so I will say that is my fifth SAK that I favor as an edc. Cool topic Slippy.
Great overview! Just one note - the driver of the Cybertool does not have a magnet - the bits have a little metal "ball" on the side and the driver has a detent - this is how the bits snap and stay in place. I know some people have glued a small magnet to the bottom of the driver slot to be able to use 3rd party standard bits (as by default those do not stay in place in the driver as they don't have the little ball on the side) but from the factory there is no magnet in the Cybertool.
Great choices there. I have the Compact, Climber with the Switzerland Place To Be scales BD the New York Companion. The Compact is what I carry most often. I do like the Pioneer X Alox, I have the standard Alox, Thunder Grey and I just ordered the Electric Yellow Limited Edition.
After watching many videos on SAK’s I have been hooked on them. I carry a 111mm Workchamp in a belt pouch. Along side is a Huntsman also in a leather pouch. In my pocket is a Swiss Army 1 in a leather slip. Thanks for getting me hooked.
Nice choices, but for me it would be the compact or ranger , one for a small pocket carry when out for a posh evening and then the Ranger as a daily carry with an x pocket hanger. Cheers
I just found a 90’s Officer Swiss in the woods that looks like today’s tinker according to their website. I have 6 other SAKS. The odd thing is I really like the fact that it was a found item. It needed a lot of repair. Not treated well. Had to epoxy one of the scales back on, but that’s what I do. So a fun find. Thanks 🎸🔪
Although not a 91mm SAK, my favorite EDC is Evolution 11. Two layers, contoured scales, opening layer tools, main blade, nail cleaning tool with file, awl/reamer, Phillips driver, tweezers, and a toothpick.
My Pioneer X and Climber Deluxe (sadly discontinued) upgraded with plus scales and mini screwdriver are the only SAKs I need. I have 5 or so more but these are the two I always come back to.
Hi, really enjoy your content, I have a selection of custom models from Dan too. I have a yeoman mechanic (adds pliers) which is my go to, but also for work I have an explorer he made me with the blades removed and a file added, fantastic bladeless custom (with plus scales).
I wish there was a Cybertool in between the S and the M, i.e. one like the S with an added scissor layer, but without the pliers. That would be the ultimate EDC together with a Knipex Cobra XS.
I do have a cybertool in the car, its not the small though. It's hardly ever used because I keep it in the car. I have a couple of SAK 's that I added the plus scales so I would have the pen but I have never used the pens. Still, better looking at it than for it. I do like the magnifying glass, it's probably one of the only SAK tools that I don't have. I don't have a compact model or the explorer. Maybe my next knife will be one of those.
i like the tinker , has everything i need , i had the small one ,but i think is dicontued , but i lost it , so i got the 91 and now i have a small chain atach to it , so i don t lose it again ,

The Compact looks like a whole new knife with those white scales. Very cool

All awesome. I think I like the transperant scales the most.
Me too Randy
Love this video!!! Ah, I wondered why some of the mini screwdrivers were round instead of hex. Thanks for explaining!
Thanks for watching!

Ranger is my car SAK ❤️
Great Video, Great model choices. I agree with all of them, but I would had to include the piooner x in the top 3
100% agree, that was just the 91mms but the PX is a solid choice
All great choices ! -

Awesome Paul! Nothing better than a knife you had to repair

Nice video, but I can't stop wondering how did you get that cuts on your finger? Be safe👍
Not knife related, volunteering at the church, cut on broken glass
My daily is the Swiss champ XXL. Then I have everything I need.
The spatula must be quite nice to chop and do lines off of
Awesome
😂😂😂
Pioneer X Alox + Swiss card nail care
Awesome
Sweet SAK's
Thank you
@@SlipjointSawyer you are very welcome.
I agree that the yeoman has a tool set that most people would use daily, confused as to why victorinox would not eagerly promote this model?
I've no idea, it's definitely an amazing one
Those are awesome SAK's anyone would be honored to carry, my favorite was the pinned one on the scales, I always PAC A SAK 🇺🇲💯🙏
Thank you
