I started my channel 10 years ago lol but I have been doing it for fun and whenever, so I don’t upload very often. I finally gained 59 subscribers and 6 of them were from the last 3 months when I am home all day 😂

The way you setup your tripod with one leg on the floor and two on the table is so clever! Thats exactly what i needed to stabilize my tripod, not sure how common of a setup it is, but this is the first place i saw it so thanks!!

I appreciate your video. I like what you said, and it startled me (in a good way), "I hope fear doesn't stop you..." and "Just pick up a camera and share your drawing..." I keep telling myself that, and I do have a few timelapse videos of my drawings using galaxy S8 phone, but they have a weird angle and when I put them on youtube screen of course the screen is so narrow. I've been struggling with whether or not I should get a good camera and better tripod.

I have the same camera! I was going to buy the EOSM50 but the compact design of the EOSM100 and the fact that it’s very light, is perfect for me. I do recommend the EOSM50 too though.

Hey Amanda! I think the overhead shot is something a lot of content creators struggle with, when I tried it I ended up putting my camera on a $2 selfie stick on a tripod, which is not ideal. Thanks for sharing! Just wondering if that ring light is on batteries, or do you plug it in? Thanks for sharing!
This was super helpful as small art TH-camr! 📷😍 I've always struggled with how to light tabletop videos without the legs of the tripod casting shadows, or lighting from the side and getting the shadow of my hand across the page. I never thought of putting the ring light around the camera- this is a game changer! Your videos never fail to help and inspire 📷📚
If you also want a cheap alternative for a voice over mic, I can suggest that if you have a game like sing it, or American Idol for a video game console, you can use the mic that comes with the game :) thats what i do and it works very well! I highly suggest it!
I wanted to set up art studio for my drawing . I am not good but trying to share my skills and knowledge to those who wanted to get ideas. I've wanted to start a youtube channel where I can put art videos, and of course bullet journal videos too, but I've always wondered what the best way to set up the camera and tripod was, so this helped a lot :D Sad that the giveaway is only open to canada and usa. Lol! I just did a crazy improvised overhead setting with my regular tripod. Three medium size rocks involved as weight to keep it from falling down 😂 did the trick for now. I wish I had the money to get one of those overhead tripods 😫 hopefully I do soon 🤞 thanks for sharing all this info, it’s very helpful ❤️

Hi Amanda, so excited about these tips because I already have this same camera, it's what I use to film my videos. But I really need some advice, I can never seem to get it to focus clearly on manual and when I set it to auto, it seems to go blurry every couple of minutes and it takes ages to to adjust. Is there anything I can try? Many thanks, Dani x

When looking at your setting, do you flip your footage when editing?
