Haha I literally just separate 40 books into 20 side by side until it’s even then I put a huge art case on top and place my phone at the top of the tower... 😬

I started my channel 10 years ago lol but I have been doing it for fun and whenever, so I don’t upload very often. I finally gained 59 subscribers and 6 of them were from the last 3 months when I am home all day 😂

Thank you so much for this video! Many things inspire me and using my creativity is a daily thing. I never paid a whole lot of attention to this in my daily life. Music, art, photos, other artist and designers, patterns and colors ... I love all things colored in rainbow colors ❤️🌈 Sometimes a person I care about inspires me to want to create a card. I do not often share my creations, as I have seen and experienced my share of negative comments. All my creative projects make me happy to just simply make them.

This was super helpful as small art TH-camr! 📷😍 I've always struggled with how to light tabletop videos without the legs of the tripod casting shadows, or lighting from the side and getting the shadow of my hand across the page. I never thought of putting the ring light around the camera- this is a game changer! Your videos never fail to help and inspire 📷📚

The way you setup your tripod with one leg on the floor and two on the table is so clever! Thats exactly what i needed to stabilize my tripod, not sure how common of a setup it is, but this is the first place i saw it so thanks!!

I have the same camera! I was going to buy the EOSM50 but the compact design of the EOSM100 and the fact that it’s very light, is perfect for me. I do recommend the EOSM50 too though.

I appreciate your video. I like what you said, and it startled me (in a good way), "I hope fear doesn't stop you..." and "Just pick up a camera and share your drawing..." I keep telling myself that, and I do have a few timelapse videos of my drawings using galaxy S8 phone, but they have a weird angle and when I put them on youtube screen of course the screen is so narrow. I've been struggling with whether or not I should get a good camera and better tripod.
Super helpful video Amanda, one thing I was wondering though is, filming the way you do I expect the footage records upside down, if so, how do you deal with that? Is it in editing or is there a rotate camera option in the cameras menu? Thanks again 😊
Lol! I just did a crazy improvised overhead setting with my regular tripod. Three medium size rocks involved as weight to keep it from falling down 😂 did the trick for now. I wish I had the money to get one of those overhead tripods 😫 hopefully I do soon 🤞 thanks for sharing all this info, it’s very helpful ❤️

I have the Canon EOS M10 and I love it. I like how you can change the lens and how it's like a dlsr but a compact one and super lightweight.

Hey Amanda! I think the overhead shot is something a lot of content creators struggle with, when I tried it I ended up putting my camera on a $2 selfie stick on a tripod, which is not ideal. Thanks for sharing! Just wondering if that ring light is on batteries, or do you plug it in? Thanks for sharing!

This was actually such a helpful video. I've wanted to start a youtube channel where I can put art videos, and of course bullet journal videos too, but I've always wondered what the best way to set up the camera and tripod was, so this helped a lot :D

Oh my gosh, you just blew my mind with the background light, hahaha I had three on my face and zero in my background, and I had no idea how to fix that, how do you place it there behind you, facing the wall or towards your body?

Hi Amanda, so excited about these tips because I already have this same camera, it's what I use to film my videos. But I really need some advice, I can never seem to get it to focus clearly on manual and when I set it to auto, it seems to go blurry every couple of minutes and it takes ages to to adjust. Is there anything I can try? Many thanks, Dani x
