Sugar cane juice is definitely interesting and kind of plant tasting lol. some are better than others it depends on the quality of the canes.. I think this might be the way to tell which ones are better tasting "Choose stalks that are light green fading to yellow, with reddish-brown patches. Avoid ones that are white, cracked, or blackened in some area" ... I dont think I ever tried it with the mint just plain.

Susan, you should visit Ladakh. The people here are very nice, and there are many places to see and experience. There are also numerous things to explore.
Also visit Chand baoli at Abhaneri , the largest stepwell in India. It is 95 km from Jaipur

Sugar is made from sugarcane juice and its juice is also drunk with mint, salt and lemon, which is very beneficial for health. It is very common in the villages of India.

You guys are all so used to Artificial synthtic flavours , now you don't like natural Drink . Try Jaggery in solid or powder form .

Sugarcane juice is healthy one and it gives energy. It's good & anti sunstroke thing. It's have different tastes from different places. Some people add more flavours this and that ingredients for taste but I prefer original. Too much flavour mix will ruin the originality. Just add lemon, little salt, little ginger. Make with ice cubes and it tastes simply good taste. 🎉

If you are in Jaipur still,go to Abhaneri...to see Chand Baori...Baori means stepwell. I can bet you have not seen anything like it in your life. You won't regret it.
Just ask for Abhaneri Baori. It is just 100 kms from Jaipur.

India is the second largest producer of sugarcane after Brazil. You can eat sugarcane in raw form & is generally preferred as juice/drink during summer time since it provides instant energy. Also, sugarcane gives sugar, jaggery and ethanol. The latter can be blended with petrol for reducing emissions. Pro tip: You can customise the drink by asking the seller to not add mint, rock salt, sugar as per your preference. Also, always ask for extracting the juice in front of you b'coz they tend to add water in order to trick you.
