The Adventures of Jet Frichot: Statue of Liberty

Have you been to New York if you haven't visited the wonderful Statue of Liberty...and I'd say no.
You've probably seen this statue in countless movies and magazines but you really have to be standing in front of it to see it's true beauty.
The idea for the statue was born in 1865, when the French historian and abolitionist Édouard de Laboulaye proposed a monument to commemorate the upcoming centennial of U.S. independence (1876), the perseverance of American democracy and the liberation of the nation's slaves.
