It does happen every now and then - I remember seeing a pair of girls on the show; one gave the other a warrior woman tattoo because she'd been through so much crap but kept going, and the other tattoo was a beautiful flower piece on her bald head because she'd been through chemo. But those aren't dramatic and cringeworthy, so they don't get featured on the TH-cam channel - gotta get them ratings up ya know?
They did one to one person who was autistic and the friend wanted to give her something to support her autism and that was a great tattoo.

I can't believe how large these tattoos are! The show should limit the size so they're not impossible to cover later. Horrible
I think the devil tail is actually quite cute. Like, you know the people who get the full back angel wings? It reminds me kind of like that. Plus, it seemed really well done and had decent shading.

Buzzfeed is usually garbage but that video was pretty cool.
This show concept could have been really cute as a competition style show based on couple’s/matching tattoos. Like, each partner lists some things their partner likes and the artists are challenged to come up with a cohesive tattoo set where based on their likes.
how would that work as a competition?
I watched that episode with the angry tattoo artist, and she was in the right. He kept calling her names during the tattoo and touching it while she was doing it and moving away from her. He then called her more names then she got up to take a break and he walked off and swore her out of it. He wouldn't come back even after she apologised and said she'd finish it.
Literally nobody was in the right in that situation???? Like, they were both being total pieces of shit???? It doesn't matter who "started it."
I know right... love how she didn't have a problem with him calling her a bitch or consider what he'd done to her before hand.

I really have to side with the guy in this one. He got shamed so hardcore. The tattoo artist knew what was going on with the tattoo, and don't you think that the man had an idea of what was going on? Something around his pecs that was a lot of filling in? The artist should have shown a bit more compassion for fuck's sake. Or refused to do it cuz that was seriously mind fuckery shite there.

The last guy you reacted to was absolutely foul to the artist, he was verbally abusive, aggressive, constantly touching the tattoo and just generally a complete and total bellend.
What I can't understand is why the tattoo artists would actually agree to be on this show. If I was a tattoo artist I would find it unethical to give someone a tattoo that I knew they would hate or would be ashamed of. I know money is the obvious motivator but I couldn't be paid enough to do such a job.

I mean tbh I think the idea of designing a tattoo for your partner is cute but it shouldn't be done maliciously and they should be able to see the design before it's tatted. While watching this I was thinking of all the nice tattoos I could've designed for people I care about.
And ones that aren't "I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND" or the GF's face on their body.
That would make a good show too. Giving your loved ones a beautiful meaningful tattoo would be so cool. Plus they could up the sappiness and make it more dramatic LOL

I've discovered it is a rarity for people to pick something meaningful, like as in it's only been a handful of times. what people have partners or friends this horrible? what MORONS would use THIS OPPORTUNITY to give their loved one a FUCKED UP TATTOO instead of being like bitch we get a free tat opportunity let's design some bad ass shit for each other! it's compLETELY mind boggling to me.

I don't know...after the tattoo he gave his girlfriend, the meaning behind it being his ex-girlfriend...I don't think that she did that in a possessive way, I feel like that was payback. this must be fake. their skin doesn't look red and irritated at all, or bleeding a little....just the opposite. So would they wait a couple weeks for the skin to heal and hope the person doesn't look at it? I don't think so. This is as fake as it gets.

Gutch220 if you get a tattoo done properly it doesnt bleed or go red that much. And there are videos of these people getting them lasered off and people on the show have said that it is real
The girl with the naked man on her thigh had a little irritation around the tattoo, it really depends on the tattoo artist and the person being tatted.
Gutch220 I think it depends on the person being tattooed and how heavy handed the artist is + if they have to go over the same spot, but when I got my ribs done recently I rarely bled or had any irritation, the photo the tattoo artist took after didn’t have any red around the lines and I’m very, very pale.
It's real- I went on instagram because I was curious and loads of them still have their tattoos on their most recent selfies etc

The reason the tattoo artist Jodie was mad at him was because whilst she was tattooing him he was whining over how much it hurt and kept touching the newly tattooed area. She kept telling him to stop touching it because it is going to get infected he would not stop. So she took a break from tattooing him and then he didn't want to finish it off when she offered him. And then he told his wife that he didn't get it finished because she didn't want to tattoo him anymore when she did in fact offer to finish it. Just explaining so you know why she was so mad

They seem like temporary tattoos. I didn't see any raised or bleeding skin and the covers are all completely clean before revealing them (especially after seeing the half finished one). The only other theory is that they are healed tattoos, however, I find it hard to believe that someone would get a mystery tattoo and not see it for 2 weeks while it heals. Extremely fake show and from what I can see in these clips, it's not very funny either. Some of the artwork seems well done though.

Also, some tattoos can bleed a lot; it depends on where the tattoo is. Also, the person could have a condition where they bleed more than an average person. Skin can also get very irritated and puffy. As I said, it really depends on the person's skin type.

I’m almost certain that these tattoos are faked, the makeup artist did a really good job if they are fake. But I can kinda tell from the lack of swelling and texture. They got the colours looking good tho.

im not gonna lie, at first i was thinking you were a little over dramatic about how the idea in general of having two friends design a careless tattoo just because (and making it lewd, etc etc) was not doing a service to the tattooed community. They might be fake tattoos on the show (although I haven't seen it as I'm in Canada), I read somewhere that some shows use actual tattoo artists but they put fake tattoos on the reality show clients.

I just looked into this to see if the tattoos are real, because omfg, they sure af look real. Far as I can tell, they're real, this isn't makeup.
Two things,
This is literally ruining people's bodies for at least a few months, if not forever (depending on healing time, money to do a coverup, or laser, if it can be covered or removed fully) for a 2 second reaction.
These people are monsters. The thing about doing stuff like this, is that you get to find out if you've got sociopathic tendencies or not. To me, the best revenge would be giving the person an absolutely beautiful tattoo, so I could walk away the bigger person, guilt free, and the other person would have to live with being an insanely cruel excuse for a human. If there's no guilt, remorse, or compassion in you despite doing something so horrible, there's something seriously wrong with you.
Tattoos have finally been brought to a point where it doesn't affect your career or status, and these people are making tattooing out to be a joke. I really don't want to believe these are real. They look very, very real though.

Tbh I like this show, I've seen some really cute and sweet episodes! One proposed to his gf with a beach tattoo on her and a father and daughter made ones based on jokes they have with eachother, which I found sweet xxx I hate it tho when people purposely give the partner an awful tattoo, it's so awful to do that to someone!

I think you should check out Tattoo Age on Vice, it’s more documentary style and each episode they interview a different tattoo artist, you might enjoy it, I think they have nearly all of the episodes on their website for free

There's a woman that's in some of the INKED videos that did the American version.
I'm not an artist, but if I got an offer from a show with this ridiculous a premise, with people willing to go on it, and willing to pay me for my time. I would absolutely say yes.
Everyone is a willing, and consenting adult, plus you'd get some amazing stories and tattoos to do.
Plus they don't really show the artists, which would work well for them
