- According to a report, Berlin expects some 800,000 German and allied NATO troops to use its ports, highways, and railways to head eastwards if the West’s simmering showdown with Russia turns hot in the near future.

Turkey has 1 million strong army. Biggest army in Nato except USA if Turkey is not in or switches alliance then Nato is going to struggle. No one trying diplomacy except Putin. You must blind and deaf if you think so. There is ONE and only ONE aggressive party, and that is Russia. They were the ones who invaded a souvereign country, and started the conflict. Nato measures in relation to Ukraine are defensive to secure Europe and force the russians to retreat back where they belong, that is behind the ukrainian border. Nothing offensive in that

Maybe it's a turn of the table. After the collapse of the USSR, I thought NATO and Russia signed an accord where NATO would not continue to add members to their organization. But NATO has added many former USSR States since then. Russia argues that their borders are no longer secure with NATO Countries surrounding them.
