Even before this conflict escalated over 2 years ago, Russia had 4 times the population of Ukraine & 5 times the GDP on a PER CAPITA basis. This means that Russia’s economy was 20 times greater, MEANING UKRAINE CANNOT WIN THIS WAR. The difference is even greater now with 1/4 to 1/3 of Ukrainians pissing off overseas with no intention of ever returning & Russia occupying the industrial Donbass. BASICALLY THE DAY THE SANCTIONS FAILED IS THE DAY UKRAINE LOST THIS WAR. The end result is that all helping the Ukrainian military does is guarantee more Ukrainian military fatalities than there otherwise would be, before Russia inevitably wins. As if half a million military fatalities isn’t enough for Ukraine. BTW the operation north of Kharkov is just a feint to force the Ukrainians to pull forces aways from the rest of the frontier. The USA however, saw it as a grand time to destroy Russia, so enacted sanctions and continued to ship Billions of dollars of munitions to Ukraine (hundreds of Billions). As long as Ukraine is hosting armed forces on the border, and as long as the Nazis are fighting in the Ukrainian military, Mr Putin has made it clear that he will go as far as it takes to make sure Russia is secure. Imagine if China put arms on the Mexican border of the USA. Would this last? But the USA (NATO) insists on doing this same thing in Ukraine. They say Russia has the GDP of Italy, but Russia always amazes me what they do with so little funding, little compare to that of the U.S. military funding. Much respect for Russia for fighting the war against traditional values and against these greedy globalists.
It is impossible to compare the GDP of countries in dollars without taking into account purchasing power parity. Russia's GDP by PPP is in fourth place in the world according to World Bank estimates. Italy's GDP by PPP is in twelfth place.
Russia is making such progress on the ground because the local inhabitants are ethnic Russians who have been subjected to relentless persecution and terror from the NAZI junta death squads from the North making them hate anything Ukrainian or Western for that matter. The towns and villages of Donbas which the US/UK/EU/NATO 2014 imposed NAZIS have attacked, invaded and occupied from 2014 onwards in breach of the Minsk Accords had overwhelmingly voted for independence from the NAZI junta which the West wanted to impose on them in 2014 and fully support the Russian brothers and sisters, providing Russia with valuable logistic information of where the hated Bandera Nazis are located. This has led to more repression and terror by the US/UK/EU/NATO 2014 imposed Ukrainian NAZI junta terror squads against the civilian population who see Russian troops as liberators not invaders or occupiers.
1:58 It's not 'planning', it's 'gliding', from Russian 'planyor' meaning glider. Fighter plane names with 'Su' also are not 'eS-yU' but literally 'Su'.
4:15 I wonder why a journalist who is supposed to report information and not propaganda did not bother to ask the Ukrainians why they use supermarkets or residential buildings as shelters for MLRS and weapons depots? Or at least he will be puzzled by the question of why the next “peaceful” victim detonates a second time within a day and the firefighters wear body armor.
One aspect that deserves acknowledgment is the ingenuity displayed by both Russian and Ukrainian forces in adapting and modifying weaponry at a fraction of the cost compared to highly advanced U.S. technology. Consider the contrast between inexpensive drones equipped with improvised explosive devices, secured with simple zap straps, costing only a few thousand dollars, versus a sophisticated Javelin missile priced at nearly $100,000, yet serving the same purpose of neutralizing a tank. However, the Achilles’ heel for the United States lies in its exorbitant costs, which could potentially lead to economic turmoil in the event of an all-out World War III. As we contemplate the aftermath of such a global conflict-hopefully devoid of nuclear weapons-one cannot help but wonder about the state of the economy. Will we find ourselves in a depression, grappling with hyperinflation and unprecedented poverty? The answers remain uncertain, but the impact would undoubtedly be profound
Nah, the US has a neat strategy. We manufacture weapons then sell them to our allies at a profit, and have our allies use them on our enemies for us. Also, trading either a $1000 drone or a $100,000 Javelin missile for a $3,000,000+ tank is a pretty good deal.
The US has a very different military doctrine than Russia and Ukraine. In a conventional war against Russia, the US military would never have to worry about glide bombs hitting buildings or much of the other nonsense Ukraine is dealing with, primarily because they would establish air superiority.
I like how Western journalists, in a fit of anger over the bad situation for Ukraine, repeat many times that these bombs are "dumb" from the Soviet Era. They're trying to tell their viewers something like: "Don't worry, it doesn't matter that Russia is making progress. The main thing is that its bombs are from the Soviet Era, which means our sanctions are in effect and the Russian economy is dead, it uses cheap bombs!" And the West has always had this envy and anger from Russia's progress, and always will be!

If Ukrainian soldiers had not been hiding in civilian houses, schools, hospitals and shopping centers, the Russians would NOT have fired at these objects. There are many videos and photos showing Ukrainian guns, howitzers and tanks standing between multi-storey buildings. And Ukrainians also like to make “human” shields from their own civilians. They go into the upper apartments and shoot from there at the Russian troops. At the same time, the residents of this apartment are sitting with them under threat of death (from the Ukrainian military). The Ukrainian military does all this in the hope that the Russians will not shoot at civilians. Therefore, Russian troops work like Surgeons, and not like the US Army.

Imagine what all of those trillions of dollars could do for our infrastructure, homelessness, mental health issues, border security, veterans, teachers policemen and firemen.. the list is endless.
The US is dependant on global supply chains and the stability of the countries around those supply chains for its economy. That is a major strategic interest. Not to mention that there are places where people actually want to hurt the US for imperialist reasons not because of anything the US does. The US can provide financial support to allies to do the fighting for it or it will be pulled in with its own soldiers then have to pay in blood as well. It is impossible to compare the GDP of countries in dollars without taking into account purchasing power parity. Russia's GDP by PPP is in fourth place in the world according to World Bank estimates. Italy's GDP by PPP is in twelfth place.
Russia is fighting alone against Ukraine, which has the supreme help of NATO, and yet they have already occupied exactly 20% of Ukrainian territory.
Uncle Sam has been outsmarted again
