My First Impressions and thoughts on 5 Men's Fragrances from Loewe, a Spanish Designer under the LVMH Group. Even though I have experienced these in passing on my travels to Spain in stores there I never really wore them. So today it's First Impressions on 5 blind buys from the Loewe house. And also my love, the only other Loewe Men's Fragrance I own, 001 Man. Do you know these Loewe Men's Fragrances? Do you like them? Or do you have another Loewe favorite fragrance? Loewe Esencia EDP is my favourite perfume, its smells natural. Smells like you have been walking through an untouched Forest with many aromatic herbs filled with 🐝 doing their work.
Learned of this house from Joao Lima. purchased Siete Anonimo and Siete Natural. I'm pleased with both
I am from Madrid, using classic "Loewe pour homme - eau de toilette" my whole life, and I personally never liked any other newer Loewe, so I keep going on with the same one, and it really catches the attention of most people out there. Thank you for your professional explanation of difference in between smells... that was quite a lesson ... I'm very impressed! Thank you
Sebastian, thank you for releasing this!!! Loewe is one of my favorite brands and they are very underrated. In regards to some of your observations, I have to agree with the 7 line being now sort of subtle. The original 7 has been watered down due to reformulation. The first batches were a blast of spices and incense. I have the whole 7 line and my favorite is 7 Natural. Most of the Solo line dries down to the same DNA but the flankers have very different openings: sweet neroli ('Absoluto' flanker), very herbal ('Origami' flanker), woody ('Cedro' flanker), sharp citrus ('Sport' flanker), Armani Code-inspired ('Mercurio' flanker), a resinous version of the original ('Platinum' flanker) and sweet powdery ('Esencial' flanker - this is the strongest deviation to the original DNA). I have 001 EDP and EDT and the EDT opens with a sharp citrus note that is very fleeting and then dries down to a very subtle version of the EDP.

Tried 7 plata last week at Sears in ensenada, it was incredibly powerful ginger and incense, went home took a shower and it was still there. Went back and bought it.

Plata is amazing. It’s very difficult to get hold of even in the U.K.
I like 7 Natural as a wearable incense based fragrance for the summer.

Solo loewe is a brilliant fragrance. Long lasting with good projection.. Definitely worth buying...
001 MAN edt and edp are staples for summer and spring to me since 2018.
Also interested in SOLO and 7, since I tested them last week.
I love their newer bottles + new presentation as well. Pres. is the best in the designer realm (bottles, cap, sprayer 🤩 and box quality).
I have both 7 Anonimo and 7 Natural and enjoy both. I love to collect incense fragrances and these fit my aesthetic quite nicely.
Love Loewe. From my first visit to Spain I fell in love with it and that iconic green bottle it really sums up many fantastic memories...and triggers. Such a wonderful brand.
I like these first impression videos when you open the boxes. Generally I don't always love "opening box" video but it works here:) I think because it slows you down and you become more conversational:)
I own all of the Loewe 7 range. My favorite is a tie between Anonimo and 7 sport. Im a huge fan of this underrated Spanish house😀👊🏿✊🏿👊🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

@@ThePerfumeGuy 7 sport is very difficult to find in the states. Its not your typical freshie. Its got class and quality all over it. It features a nice Tomato Leaf note. I love it!

I only own and smelt 7 anonimo, great incence and leather fragrance. The scent and performance are great. Probably gonna pick up 7 natural, soon.
Just did a blind buy of Solo and I'm absolutely impressed
In Iberia 7 is a must ever- if you want to impress a iberian lady, you must have solo or 7 - Are amazing- 7 is inspired from the smell of spanish old churchs- after 1 hour its drydown its magic- to me its like kyoto from comme des garçons- SOLO is along with DHI and LIDGE my holy trinity-
20 years ago I had Solo by Loewe. Good woody scent.
Missed Loewe 7 Cobalt. A great masculine scent. The black current and incense give this frag a real attractive smell with a unique spicy metallic freshness. Such a shame that nobody talks about this hidden gem.
Just picked up a bottle, it is like someone mixed all the most popular blue fragrances together in a bottle. I really like it.
Solo Loewe is a favorite of mine but was curious about the rest of the collection. Now that you have aired this video I can figure out what to buy next. I will try 001 Man as you recommend it.

Loewe 7,it's a phenomenal of fragrance,only if you were it!When I first spray it on my wrist,I did not even like it...
I have been wearing Loewe7 for years and it is fabulous. It reminds me of Cacharel pour homme which one of my best oldies along Drakkar noir. Strange that it didn t project because on me it radiates... but maybe it is the strip or reformulation.. anyway I would live to see ypu talk about it again in details as well as Cacharel (very underrated)

Ginger and orange bomb! Bit of a weird opening but it's one of my faves.
The solo once it dries down. Its beutifull.
Coincidentally I received my bottle of 001 Man today! Imagine my surprise to see you reviewing it (again) the same day! it's a really nice scent. Quite close to the skin, lasts 7-8 hours. Great office scent. The spicy opening reminds me of a Guerlain Homme, but dries down to a Dior Homme. There is a new Loewe Cobalt EDP out. I might be getting that as well.

I love Solo Loewe. One of my favorites perfumes. I would like try Solo Cedro.

I recently received 7 Anonimo ...and I love the scent....but I get very mediocre performance...sadly. I have never tried Escencia but have always been curious about it !!!.....and 001 men's and women's sound great.
LOVE this brand since the 70's classical fougère "Loewe por homme".I hace enjoyed "Esencia, citrussy 7 Natural , the incensed Anónimo, and the Woody Solo Cedro". I do not like the mes bottles, ,allí similar, however. Congratulaciones for your videos.

I've bought Esencia EdP a year ago after instantly falling in love with it in a store in Austria. It's definitely going into the direction of Aventus, but after wearing it a lot, you notice a lot of differences to Aventus that make it unique
oh Sebastian I was waiting for LOEWE video for a long time! thanks for it! i think loewe is so underrated, which is kinda good,because you can feel little original :)))) sad thing about loewe is they change creative director and house perfumer and change i think starts with new esencia EDP-which goes straight to the market.....anyway emilio valeros was so good artist whom i miss a lot:( definitely try on your skin-especially esencia edt and solo, which is great when you little sweaty outside in warm weather-with chemistry you will see miracle! for sure try loewe 7 NATURAL!!! ITS MEGA SEXI FRESHIE:))) aLL THE BEST SEBASTIAN!

I’ve sampled most of the line now, but the only two I really loved was 001 Man and Solo, which I have bottles of. Solo, to me, is stunning.

The original Ecensia (1988) is a masterpiece. The new formulation is disappointing. It has the DNA of the original. But it’s not as good, fresh, green, spicy and complex. Just purchased the original edition and it’s great. Will treasure it as a jewel!

I wore Essencia EDT today and I am loving it. I do agree it smells like Polo green but it smells more natural and better crafted. I wanted to see what others thought so I looked this video up.
This is like polos older, more austere brother. More fougere, less club banger

I sampled Essensia and Loewe Pour Homme several years ago. I liked them both very much. Pour Homme was kind of in between Azzaro PH and Tuscany, as I recall. As I say, I enjoyed them both but, for some odd reason, I never felt compelled to buy full sized bottles of either.
Loewe Solo is amazeballs, immediately bought after trying a sample. I need to try some of their other offerings.
Was looking for this one, I can only hope Bullfrog gets the same haul treatment

I stumbled across them a while ago. Esencia Parfum is very good. Strangely I got cedar, but the notes say it’s moss. So maybe I am not familiar enough with the notes.
Didn’t get the aventus vibe.. maybe the fuzzy heart of the scent? I wouldn’t buy it as a dupe.

"Wow, Aventus?" 🤣 😭😭😭 A great overview Sebastian! I was on the fence about Esencia edt for sooo long due to the talk of massive reformulations over the years, even in the old cylinder style bottle. Might have to hunt down a vintage bottle. Always been a fan of the Polo style of fragrance. Incidentally, Carlos Benaim mentioned just how long it took to get that fragrance right. Incredible amount of revisions before its initlal release.

The best selling Loewe for men in Spain was Loewe Pour Homme
edit: The old bottles were so magnificent. It is a pity that they went for the generic white/glass form. I understand what the artistic/creative direction has done with the brand [originally a leather goods manufacturer] or the direction LVMH has taken with it, as with all the rest of the luxury brand sphere. But the loss of character has been very dramatic. It belongs now to the "generic what is considered luxury brand" sphere, as you have seen with the shift from Esencia to Esencia EDP. Esencia is very unique [similar to other fougeres, but Sandalwood and Vetiver are very present, and settles surprisingly fresh].
001 Man EDP and EDT all the way. Those two are the best. You must check out the EDT.
4:11 Loew (alternatively writen Löwe) is german and means lion. This could even be a surname, so the story of a german man living in spain might be correct
Löwe means Lion. Löw/Loew means nothing, but can be a surname.
I was going to suggest different shots for close-ups versus trying to get the camera to focus

I kind of wish Loewe kept the old bottle style ... I think they have the vintage charm although newer bottles are nice as well.
I'd been curious about this line, and enjoyed listening to you describe them, Sebastian! I love original Polo, and might have to try to test that EDT. 7 series is their best, imo, but I don't understand why they keep discontinuing most of its flankers - Natural, Plata and Sport are already gone from their lineup
WOW I have been a huge fan of Solo, being from Spain it is a popular perfume here, a close friend of mine uses it as a signature so I never got a bottle.
What would be a niche alternative to Loewe solo according to your huge knowlege?
I dont want it to smell the same but to still get that fruity tropical freshness contrasting with the darker more oriental notes.
7 anonimo is great Leather incense amber; try solo platinium tea and leather
