0. Before powering up, double check the proper operation of the brake to ensure it seizes the chain when brake is on, and chain spins smoothly by carefully grabbing chain when brake is off.
1. Be generous filling up the oil reservoir tank but don't overfill and firmly tighten cap.
2. Put on your gloves, safety glasses and other protective equipment.
3. Hold down the power button for a few seconds to activate power.
4. Always have both hands on the chainsaw.
5. Slowly pull trigger and ensure chain is moving smoothly but not loosely.
6. Validate oil is lubricating the chain.
7. Let 'er rip!

im just putting a new chain on and when i put it all together and try to tighten up it just keeps on clicking and dosnt tighten up is there a trick?

Question. If that's is a 1400W chainsaw driven by a 36V4A battery, for example (let's say 160W maximum power) does that mean the motor drains almost 40A from the battery, or does it stop at 4A and the motor is in actual 160W motor with some clever torque mechanism to make it as powerful as a 1400W motor?

Nice saw but very disappointed in the time you get , 2 x 5amp new batteries and I managed 6 cuts on 55cm logs and completely dead

Makita DUC353Z has Oil tank capacity of 200ml.
