I’m fortunate enough to have met Wally Fowler! And I also Met Howard and Vestal! My mom was a hairdresser way back in the day and she did a re-comb on Vestals hair! lol they are both awesome people to have met! We will see them in heaven!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I remember the first time I saw and heard the Goodman family in my little United Methodist Church in Van Alstyne Texas. Jess Ashley managed to get them there somehow. They have left me with good memories that has changed my life forever in Christ our Lord.
Whoa! The Inspirations! Ron Hutchins is the lead singer here. He later joined The LeFevres. We became friends and spoke on the phone quite a bit. I love and miss him.
I had forgotten just how high Vestal could go! Of course, with age that range decreased somewhat, although she was still amazing at 73. And can we just mention how proficient that band is? No chord sheets or arrangement charts in sight, but they're flawless.

I love vessel singing the whole group was good but vestal was the best she inspired my heart every time I heard her sing God bless you guys I know you went to heaven and you're with Jesus now

I was blessed to attend one of the all night sings in the late sixties. Heard the Goodmans, the Rambos, the Florida Boys and others. What a blessing!

I used to go hear the Happy Goodmans sing at the Will Rogers Coliseum in 1957. I was a teenager.

Will always remember Vestal’s hair do.
In her book, she said it was a wig. She later let her natural hair underneath be styled and cut by to the style you see in her later years.
