Sportys are so fun; I’ve taken my 90th anniversary one over some pretty crazy roads in the Rockies and Black Hills, loaded it down an went touring, played dirtbike with it. One of the funnest bikes I’ve ever had. My other Harley is a 100th anniversary fXRS-C. Harley’s two best bikes, IMO

Haha 🇦🇺 I’ll throw one shrimp on the barbie, for every like this video gets 😉👍 all in all they are a good foundation bike, the main reason I got mine was because there’s so many modifications that can be done, and heaps and heaps of aftermarket parts.
What i find funny is Ive ridden sport bikes, crouch rockets etc on highways all over ..@360 lbs and the sportster at 500 lb plus isnt able to cruise on highways or a linger distance??? come on maaaan
The 883 does struggle on highways a bit. I’m about 80kg or 176lbs and it’s not to bad for me. The 1200 is better, but if the sportster has a chain rather than a belt, the sprockets can always be changed which can improve the gearing for highway riding.
@605pilot Harley Davidsons are a great bike aren’t they?! I have owned 2 Harley’s and two Hondas and I have never had an issue with the Harley’s at all.
Sportster is probably the best built bike Harley made, it needs suspension upgrades that’s all, the motor is bulletproof if you maintain it
100% agree! They are a great bike as long as you take care of them! Mine has never skipped a beat.

They are a great bike. Light enough to throw them around a bit, but have enough power when you need it.
Last year I did a 1275 big bore conversion on a friends bike. If you have the cash, its a fun project.
That would actually be next level, I might have to look into it. how long did it take you to do?

Hammer Big Bore kit.
@pb222221 nice work! I might look into it and give it a crack. Thanks for the idea!
Buell heads are a hot upgrade tip.
I’ll have a look into them. Cheers
Those little front indicators look pretty sweet!
They aren’t as bad as I thought they would be. I don’t want to spam my own videos but if you’re wondering how they go, check out my video on them 👍
awesome bike
Thanks! 👍
Great video
Thank you 👍
Mad vids
Cheers 👍👍
AUSSIE! Ha ha. just kidding, mate - throw one on the Barbie for me, eh? Good content. Thank you. I was eyeballin' an 883, but maybe NOT now...

Still haven't changed the shocks or the seat. Guess my ass isn't made of wood.
That’s fair. I haven’t done a seat yet, but the roads here in Aus are pretty rough so on long trips it takes its toll on your lower back.
@@thewhiskythrottleclub ridden 90 miles in one sitting on the thing and I actually like the padding
@morose8082 that’s a good effort!
Don’t buy a HD. Buy a Honda or Kawasaki if you like your bike to start, run and work properly.
Mine have never skipped a beat, Harley’s are like anything mechanical if you look after them they will be good for a very long time.
Great! another Harley hater. I’ve owned Kawasaki, Yamaha and 3 Harleys. My Harley has never broke down and it’s a joy to ride.

I have owned four Sportsters, a Deuce and a Road King....never so much as an issue...ever!
@gtb5216 they are a good reliable bike!
