Winter Spray Foam Tips and Tricks

Winter weather can add a multitude of variables to the application of spray foam insulation. Failing to properly heat a structure can not only lead to problems with the quality of the spray foam itself but also potential yield loss.
As Chicago natives, the Lighthouse team is no stranger to the difficulties that winter weather presents. That is why we've gathered an arsenal of tools and procedures to help us combat the elements.
In this video, we show you the modifications we've made to our trailer to maintain temperature before, during, and after spraying. Also, we discuss the various tools we've amassed to maintain the temperature of our equipment including heaters, hose wraps, and barrel blankets. Additionally, we discuss the tools used to prepare the ambient temperature and substrate temperature of a structure before applying spray foam. Lastly, we explain how to address these areas of concern with a client.
