    Very cool unit!! I think the only thing it’s missing is a hose attachment for a hand held washing wand so you can just use the unit to wash the parts it can’t reach as it doing it’s main wash.

    Like everything, there's always room for improvement and I'd be surprised if they aren't doing more R&D constantly. But as for now I think they really have a great thing going. As long as it justifies the cost, I'd say go for it especially if you crunch the numbers right.

    I can see ways to make it even better using sensors and motorizing the arms to get completely around everything like the feeders & dropping the water pressure for the ceiling.

  • @TheGreatPOD
    @TheGreatPOD ปีที่แล้ว +4

    You guys continually make me laugh, while you guys were struggling trying to get that power washer in the back of the truck I kept yelling at my screen "work smarter, not harder". That power washer unit is very cool, it's definitely an excellent device from what I see but I can already see a future version of it where the boom can extend and retract based on where it is in the building so that it can get all around the feeder. I can see a future unit designed that actually will map the room and all of the obstacles using something like LiDAR and doing an even more thorough washing of the room. Another nice little update for the future would have the machine be able to regulate the pressure being sent out to the nozzle so that it could automatically turn the nozzles up and get the roof with less pressure being used. I'm sure these are things they're thinking about, but I just felt the need to put it down in print if they haven't. Another awesome video even with the slight audio issues, keep up the great work guys. Can't wait to see what shenanigans you guys get up to next.

    Looks like a fun bit of tech but with the cost and so many barn layouts there’s no way it’d ever be viable for everyone.
    I always wondered pondered on a built in version of a pole and arm that ran on a track on the ceiling with multiple of them per room as needed to get full coverage. (Bad description but think I got the idea across)
    But how much water do you estimate the robot used vs manual cleaning? I’d guess the robot would have used quite a bit more.

  • @lindaphillips1481

    That was a cool machine! Really did blast the shit!! LOL!! I wonder if it could be designed to blast water from the bottom or at a lower level, it might be able it reach those places by the feeders. If not completely, at least enough to knock it out for the other jets to reach. Great tool!!

    Around here a huge box truck shows up to do the power washing. But I do know they have problems getting help and power wash. I know that years back corn got way up there in cost and they changed the recipe to wheat...better weight gains and other things. Down side...you had to use dynamite to blast off the hog manure. Growers went nuts trying to clean barns. You would have had to run misters for month.

    Well, your regular power wash people be upset because you’re getting a robot to do the work and then now they won’t have the work. I’m sure they enjoy making the money seem like it would make them upset with you. It does make sense to let the robot do the work don’t get me wrong but I just think they might get upset because they would be losing the work which means they would be losing money. Just my observation on this.

    • @fox4534
      @fox4534 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well its what I do for a living and until they get something WAY better it's not going to worry me cause there barn I can see just by looking washes better than 90% of barns there's no tough build up and on top of that it's not nearly washing the feeders good enough there small cracks between the slats that in case of a decease need to go and that machine is simply not going to wash that and the ceiling is as good as not washed that's not even counting the gating and wall by the curtain. I'd give f- on the job but I'm sure someday they will figure it out but then I'll help them sell it😂
