I love my Kobalt 80-volt - 5ah battery - 10" Bar - 6 ft / 8ft foot Pole Saw. I have been using it for more than 3 years now. It works great on my southeast Louisiana farm clearing property that a hurricane went through and trashed all the trees in the woods of our 20-acre farm. Today I'll be cutting a 6-inch limb off of a tree out front.
There is also a Portland chainsaw and that thing is not a slouch even though it is pretty cheap. I cut through railroad ties with no problems whatsoever. It's also a lot quieter than the gas chainsaws that I have.

great review, thanks for the input and the idea about bringing along the generator for ultimate portability -- sort of like the best of both worlds!
I got one for $65 and it worked flawlessly! Only problem I ran out of trees to trim! Definitely recommend!!
I have one and love it . I paid $ 49.95 for it.

Hey Dustin. That look to me like it does about what a expensive one would. I think you pay for the name on most. Good to know. Thanks for sharing.
do you know the size of the chain for replacement? I want to see if available before I buy.
