thanks for the positive comment, I really like this saw, I use it a lot to do trimming, very nice to have a long saw, although makes trimming a lot easier, and great power - thanks for subscribing!
I paid $52.00 yesterday. 20% off with my membership. I am so impressed with this saw. It zips right through hard oak tree limbs like butter. I accidently got it stuck up in a tree for 24 hrs. I was hanging and swinging on the end of it. The next day i got it down and nothing wrong with it. This is one tough little saw!
I have a very good opinion of this saw, works great, and just keeps working great, I'm using it to do major trimming of all my trees after not being able to because of covid recovery and it just works - thanks for subscribing!
Cut down 6 adult pines, notch cuts, with this. Heights 25-40 ft. Largest cuts 12 inch trunks. Unbelieveable. Plus once the tree is on the ground, don't have to bend over to cut it to pieces. My back is happy. Way less effort than my friends $450 (steel) chainsaw that he brought over, quieter and little safer too. For the lower parts of the trees I just made two cuts to cut them fully. One tree fell with the saw stuck in it, I bound the saw up twice (my fault impatient) motor started smoking. Still works great. I also used junk leftover oil I had in it. Best $65 saw ever.
I had this pole saw for 6 years great saw. But, I did find if I use bar/chain oil for chainsaw it’s too thick. So I’ve been using just regular motor oil, works fine.
I almost talked about that in the video, but decided not too - I've used whatever is available as chain oil, regular motor oil, transmission fluid and even used motor oil - when you are out in the woods, you use what's in the truck......even ran without for a day (not preferred!) on my saws in the past - thanks for subscribing!
Thanks for the review... very complete. I'm in a Harbor Freight coupon-window... and was wondering about this particular saw. Think I'll be getting one.
@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews Well I stored mine in the upright position and the remaining oil leaked out down the whole shaft. I only used it once. No other problems besides that.
They really need to carry, in-store, replacement chains for this saw. 9.5" replacement chains are almost impossible to find in any store that sells chainsaw blades.
looks like HF measures their pole-saw chains different from everyone else, this actually takes an 8 inch chainsaw blade, the 9.5" measurement seems to be the bar length, where everyone seems to measure just the length of the bar that extends outside the body and is available to use for cutting - these are available from many vendors on amazon, and should be at your local lowes and home-depot, with them being available so easily, I can see why HF does not stock them, or offer them as a replacement part - Thanks for subscribing!
120v, it uses wall power, although I have ran it off the 2K watt inverter in my truck, it is really made to trim around the house, so a cord is not that bad to deal with, but in the field, it does get a little more ackward to get the truck close enough for the cord to reach - highly recommend this tool, very happy with it - thanks for subscribing!
I got a 20% coupon in my email that said harbor freight about how they appreciate my business and loyalty no exclusions. Not really sure what that’s about. I’m at harbor freight at least a few times a month so maybe. I’m going to buy that pollsaw tomorrow. I hope you and your family are doing well.
@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews 30% off no exclusions? That almost doesn’t make sense to me. You could buy a tool cart for $5000.00 and get $1500.00 off bit ok I would love to get that coupon
I'm not mechanical and although I wanted this saw, I wasn't going to buy it until I saw your video. Thanks so much for the detailed instruction!

I did the same, bent the chain. I replaced it with an Oregon S 33 chain. It works better than the original chain.
A tip. The 16 inch bar and chain from the electric hand chain saw fit.Longer reach. Larger limbs.
@@sidneywhite749 .. Thanks for that info.. But would that cause additional strain on the motor? Maybe burn it out faster?
@@mpcp27 I have done it several times

Thanks for that tidbit about the bar oil being too thick ... as well as the part about having had this saw for 6 years. That's comforting. 👍

Does yours leak oil when stored?
I have not noticed any leaking oil, seems to not be a problem with mine, how bad is the leak? a little, or all that is in the tank over time?

@@lynncooper3585 make sure the chain is mounted to the bar in the proper cutting direction, if it's on backwards it won't cut.
