    Im hoping its not the head gasket 😭

    Gasket could be breached into the combustion chamber…it would evaporate slowly and may not show signs in ur oil.

    Definitely wanna flush that transmission fluid out. You're gonna probably need 10 to 15 quarts of trans fluid. You can flush it through those lines with the car running.

      Never flush a trans that has high milage on it

      @@Sm0knn Unless its contaminated with coolant. Like the one in the video.

    My issue on my 2010 FX35 is that when the coolant goes into the expansion tank, it does not get sucked back into the rad when it cools.... i often have to siphon back to rad once the engine is cold. I tried 4 brand new rad caps, new rad, new thermostat, hoses, coolant temp sensor, new metal heater valve etc.... bled and burped the system and have been having this issue since last summer. Whats wild is that i wont have any symptoms, except some light white smoke of a blow head gasket.... doesn't seem like I'm losing coolant, just need to keep siphoning from expansion tank to rad, if i don't do this, the car will overheat. If i drive more than 50 miles all the coolant ends up in the expansion tank, and theres a lot of gurgling behind steering wheel. I'm getting my head gasket replaced next week along with timing chain and water water pumps... 3500.00 for the job. I was thinking just doing the waterpump, but, i dont want to risk having the same exact issue and having to come out of pocket again.

      Sounds like a bad head gasket

      @@ERICSDIYGARAGE Yeah thats why i'm getting repaired.... if the car can last me without any other major issues for 3-4 years after this thats a good investment.

    My issue is a fluid is mixing with my coolant in the coolant reservoir. My car did not overheat. My oil looks fine, but it was low. I initially thought head gasket… now it may be something with the transmission.

      The same thing is happening to me. Did you find a solution?

      Bypass the radiator and use a external cooler for the transmission

      It's only common with cheap aftermarket radiators

    "My engine oil is in good shape" but there's no oil on the dip stick

    • @ERICSDIYGARAGE
      @ERICSDIYGARAGE  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Good shape as in the color of the oil and I don't know if you noticed but the vehicle was on ramps hence why the oil level looks low. When you lift up the front of the vehicle Gravity pushes the oil towards the back of the engine and does not give you a accurate reading. This is why the owner's manual recommends for you to check your oil on a leveled surface.

    Having sort of a same problem. I live in Prescott Valley and my car has been smelling rich, just bought it and it needs love but can not find out why it is smelling like gas.
