I like your walkabout videos. Chiang Mai of a nightime, certainly has a unique charm to it, like no other place in the world. You definitely chose the best place to call home. I'll be there for a few nights from January 5th. Will you be about? Would be great to get a beer with you. Cheers, Ben.
I was suprised how busy Loi Kroh was to other parts of Chaing mai when I was there last month, it really comes alive at night with the street markets and food courts, very good.
Seems like you like a bit of sportiness when mentioning an M3, so I would stick with Honda. That hybrid 2.0 drivetrain in the recent civic is very good, so smooth, I got it in the accord, so must be more fun in the smaller and more nimble civic. I used to be a hybrid hater too lol. I would look out for well maintained second hands from trusted dealers.... Even the old G9 accord hybrid (facelift) is actually a very good value buy.
I live in Japan and have a Mazda. I used to have an Audi, but it was quite old and maintaining an old European car in Japan gets expensive after a while. So I decided to go Japanese only. I think if I lived in Thailand, which I probably will in the future, I'd still definitely get a Japanese car. Probably Toyota, Mazda or Honda
The Boxing Stadium once you enter has alot of good Bars, alot of Women its a fun place, he doesnt want to tell you that for some strange reason, he never shows you the Entertainment places just waffles on about Friggin Supermarkets. 😀😀
Ok so the car question, I would try to find a car in good nick mechanically, but with some dents and scratches for a cheap price. I will need A to B not a pantie doper, lol Not trying to impress anyone just trying to get around.
Why so many foreigners.. just like, omg! P.S. Never argue with your wife if your relationship is strong and you love each other. Be the man. Just let her choose the car. I'm married for 20 years now! These small things when you make your wife happy! She will make you happy. + you have your bike! So you know!
Thailand best city?? Dont think so.I didn't see any street food there, looks very isolated that streets if compared with Pattaya. No smells or not much walking people. I think if that is Chiang Mai at night, disappoint me . Hope during day time be a bit better or I will shave the trip and stay in my loved Pattaya. Looks like any Spanish or European town in the summer time. Nothing special to die for. Thanks for share with us.
As a car enthusiast, you made me wondering about which models you are considering! Thanks for the night walk, it was a nice conversation.
Hope to make a video about getting a car in a few weeks :)
Another great Video Jon. Right through the heart of my usual haunts. 6 days to go...
Thanks Jim, nice not long to go at all!

Yep, one of the main tourist areas all around there :)
😁At 10:06 I wasn't out last night but with your report I still can be there virtually. Thanks Jon. 😉
Was expecting to run into you Jaco, maybe next time :)
@jondcanton If you're not to early we'll have another "Loi Kroh Road Encounter" at some point. Take care, Jon. Chockdee !
i'm a filipino but I miss Thai food lol 😄can't wait to be back there again! 🥰
Love the markets and can’t wait to return in Feb. Going to stay at the Astra again
Nice, great choice at the Astra :)
Thanks for all the restaurant recommendations.
😁

Yeah I've looked at the new civic but think going to go for something a bit different, will make a video about it when I can :)
Happy wife - happy life. Go with her choice . You got your bike.
We'll see, it's a difficult one, both cars are the same price but one is better in every way, but she likes the way the other one looks :)

Yep, I'd agree with those however think I'm going to go for something not Japanese for the next car but we'll see :)

His wife may see it
The one thing I liked about Loi Kroh was that most people, including the women working in the bars, called me 'young man'. I'm 48!
😁
Hi, Jon - re: Indian restaurants, have you tried "Cherry"? EXCELLENT!!
Cherry Burmese Restaurant, excellent value and food.
Not tried there, I'll have to check it out :)
Quiet city enjoy
😁
Just wondering how cool does it get weather wise in Chiang Mai in January?
In the evenings and mornings it can get in the the late teens, or twenties in centigrade, feels cool after being so hot all year

You walked past our friends Ben’s Bar !
Ah cool which one was that?
@ Ben’s Bar. We are in Chiang Mai . Let me know if you have time for a beer.
As cars go, my wife has advised we’re buying a MU-X; not my dream car, but looks big and sturdy.. not sure I have much of a say 😄
What A Great life you must lead. 😀😀
I honestly do; blessed to have a brilliant wife, kids and in-laws 🙂👍🏻
Haha yeah, we'll see what we end up with :)
@@jondcanton looking forward to the big reveal 😄
Jon, why would you say street crime in Thailand is so low? You can walk around most parts at night without even thinking about crime.
Extremely low. Nothing to worry about at all if you have common sense.
I'm not sure, but yeah I've never had an issue at all in Thailand, feels very safe here :)
Many thanks gents 🙏❤️🇹🇭
Peshawar isn’t Indian and the other isn’t too I’m sure, but …
Spices is definitely Indian, Peshawar serves Indian and Pakistani food, really great imo :)

And thats Love is it, you have to make her happy in order for her to make you Happy, Deary Me. 😁😁
Haha yeah I get that :)
Have you tried tikky café?
Nope not tried there
@@jondcanton Try it! Moved to old town now maps.app.goo.gl/PSMBzFmpHzE973Yb9
How is moonmuang soi 1 doing??
Walked past there and it seemed to be busy :)

Chiang Mai has more street food than you can shake a stick at. What sort of smells do you want? So, you've never actually been to Chiang Mai?😅
I'll never subscribe to a channel the purposely avoids filming the massage girls standing on the sidewalk. Come on bro really?
The girls don't want to be filmed for a variety of personal reasons. 'Gentlemen' understand and respect this.
