I don't know why people are saying you're bad at the game that was INCREDIBLE. I had such a joy watching you too! You're awesome Indei this was a great video :)
@@pearlspring6328 he beat Yama. You can't call him bad at Spelunky for that. Maybe average (idk how many people beat Yama on average) but definitely not bad
YEEEEES. Though admittedly the way the lore works for that game it's not really conducive to the "play this game to the end" style of the super videos.
Hades is really good choice, yeah story makes some Huge hiccups if you are good...But! This is Indiemaus we are talking about, I'm sure we can trash talk him into dying enough times to get a grasp on the story.
Every update I will go back and play that game a couple runs easy, but everyone is correct hopefully the story gets fleshed out more, but still a great "just one more run."
maybe for those that didn't try it, it looks easy. But those who already played at least 10 hours know the pain. And among other epic moves this 8:25 was an epic pro game move I would try the same, but guess I'll do the timing wrong, so its really epic to do
@@i00Face respects)) and what strange about this game, is that it's not actually that hard if you know how to deal with every creature, situations, traps. I think it's just that you can't allow yourself to be too cocky and be careful but fast. I kinda lose it after 5 good tries, so I dunno.
I gotta say, it was so nice to see you actually having a blast playing a game! After Dead Space 3 and RE6 back to back I could tell you were burnt out. Glad to hear you chipper again!
The video doesn’t begin with attempting to go left into a hidden area at the very start! Blasphemy! Another great Super series Indeimaus video 😆! Thanks for the amazing content every time
The editing in this video is incredible. I've watched and recorded a lot of Spelunky, and this is a great way to present it. That Aerith melody is my text message notification. I was very confused.
*causally* "oh yeah, Spelunky is actually one of the only games that I have all the achievements in on steam" wtf? how do you have every achievement? there are literally only three people in the world who've done that.
"Then green Anubis is gonna come out here. Christmas Anubis is here. We're gonna kill Anubis with two shotgun blasts" This video was the wildest Spelunky walkthrough, bro
I honestly think the audio editing in your videos is some of the strongest on TH-cam. It's never too frequent or loud, but it always perfectly accents the joke.
You can't discount the hours upon hours of failure that go into a decent run. My friend and I still compete in the daily challenge, and 7 times out of 10, neither of us even makes it to hell.
I've been playing this game since it came out and I still find out things I didn't know about. The lanterns thing was really embarrassing, because in my mind, they were windows; You know, 100s of meters below the surface.
I love it. Personally, I've sunk 300+ hours into it. It won't hold your hand which I love because there are very few games these days that are difficult and fun at the same time. I think too many games suffer from design balance by trying to scale to different levels, but Spelunky is great because it's just one hard difficulty that makes your goal simple. Beating Yama was my proudest achievement in gaming, definitely more so than beating DS1. It is a game that will test your patience, but man when it clicks you will have a hard time playing other rougelikes after
With this video coming soon i decided to pick up Spelunky again and i finally managed to get the No Gold achievement after playing this damn game for 4 years. Thank you Indeimaus for giving me the fuel for the fire, keep up the good work!
Oi, this was as fun to watch as the fun you had doing it. If this is the level of quality for an "in-between" video, then you're goddamn right I'll watch. The lot of them. Kudos. ;)
Another fun video, as usual. Void Bastards is a pretty fun roguelike. It would also be cool to see a Shadow Tactics play-through before desperados 3 comes out later this year.
I remember having my mind blown the first time my friend told me you can toss a rope downward off a ledge. I've still found new things in 2020 I hadn't seen before, and I've got every achievement, as well.
A nice small roguelike I recently discovered is Mana Spark. Been having an absolute blast with it and it seems to go on sale often. Would love to see you try it out! Great vid as always, loved it and really love your sense of humour.
You should try out Doukutsu Monogatari also known as Cave Story, but I prefer to call it just Doukutsu. It's quite old, but I have played it over and over again multiple times. Cave Story also has multiple endings and is somewhat similiar to spelunky, from gameplay spectrum, just with a compelling story. I have liked to speedrun the last section of the best ending where the game records your time. [Don't wanna tell too much about the endings, now do I].
This was actually a really good Video! Lately I felt your material has been a little dry but what you did in the video was great I was laughing and enjoying myself through the whole video! Wish it was longer
I love the genre rogue like/lights and few I play and can recommend is, dead cells, hades, children of morta, one step from eden, one way heroics, enter the gungeon. If you like card based, neoverse ( has waifus) or a bit more challenging slay the spire, and finally some still in development or could use some polish, but not too bad are tower hunter:erza’s trail, risk of rain 2 and neverinth. Great genre and nicely done on your run indeimaus I still need to go back and play spelunky again.
when I need a long as video and indeimaus uploads it's 10 minutes, when I need a short a video and indeimaus uploads it's a 40-50 minute video god damm indei

At 16 I feel like its probably sad to watch indieamaus, still find engagement in his pretty perfect ability to capture good TH-cam gaming/commentary watched in younger years. TH-cam Nostalgia Santa but Indi actually delivers.

Plus half of this game is based on patience and luck
He got ok far, and I'm not calling him bad... but the difference between him and an "ok" player are literal mountains.
It took me like 100 attempts before I managed to beat the game's true ending. About 50 percent of those deaths were in the mines
Spelunky in 2020 - love to see it.
the man, the myth, the legend

Spelunky in 2021 though

thanks, I spend a lot of time doing audio stuff so it means a lot!
Watching a master play this game is truly humbling.

Real talk this was one of my favorite recent indei vids. The kinda loose and quippy feel was just great
I love how TH-cam now, in September, has labeled this as Spelunky 2.
I've vicariously played most of these games through your videos, and that's probably why I remember all of them being such bangers.
the indei distant scream bit never fails to make me smile (9:50)
"One heckin short video" prediction at exactly halfway through. You dun cursed yourself champ.
Pogged out of my mind. Thank you Indeimaus. :)
You know what's even more shameful than indiemaus sucking at spelunky?
The fact that it's been out for 12 years and I still haven't played it.
Same
even more shameful if you bought the game but never even get to the 1st boss lol
i picked it up last year, and my regret is deeper than any cave.
Don't bother. It's more fun to watch than to play. Unless you hate yourself, I suppose.

I don’t like videos very often, but Indeimaus definitely has the majority of my likes. The souls-lunky of youtubers.
This is not something I thought I needed from Indie. I was not disappointed. Granted though, you made that look easy, kinda killin my morale XD

Whoever was the artist for that outro is hella fine at his job
I love Spelunky! Only ever did the regular ending trail! Good to hear they have another in the works.
The obtuse NL audio clips are always absolute gold. Great video like always
Spelunky, ahh the hours, ahh the memories, ahh the eggplant...
I legit thought the eggplant and the monkey that poops gems were both just my friends trolling me.
Dude Risk of Rain is such a good roguelike, you'll definitely have fun with it and the second one comes out soon
This video reminds me about Spelunky 2, and I am so excited again
I forgot the black market music was so good 😉 You and Dan have pulled me into Spelunky again, keep up the good work!
I liked it when the Fire Man said Hello There. Keep it subtle Indeimaus. ✊
imagine not putting the music used in description so you have to go through the whole ff8 and 9 soundtracks, thank you indeimaus, very cool.
Can't wait for your Spelunky 2 video in 10 years.
I've played Spelunky HD until the day Spelunky 2 came out and I can't believe how old the graphics looks to me now.
loving indeimaus so much that i hit the like button 2sec into the video,he just deserve it
SYNTHETIK: Legion Rising is a pretty great roguelike
Hey hey people
This is definitely one of my favorite platformers. Glad to see you enjoyed it, mausy.
Mothergunship is a hilarious FPS-Roguelite in which you build your own whacky guns from scratch.
Pure bliss in a game that was made to make you suffer in a fun way.
A mix of games you enjoy and/or that are quicker with new games that are longer would be great. It’s super fun
