If you remember, at the very end in Mad father there is a scene where Aya's father is still alive with Mr Onigawara, and they look together at this girl who is in a tube (aka librarian girl.) Also there was a debate that Misao's world is just a parallel universe, connected to Mad father.

My name is Kurata. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as a Teacher for the local High School, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink.
I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up.
I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

On the real though Darkwood is terrifying in the best way. The nature of the woods, the twisted characters and the panicked combat make it so tense. The lack of jumpscares in favour of an atmosphere of pure dread is so welcome. Truly a top tier horror experience.

Will he see the horrors of where he is, and fight the fiend, or will he join it.
Will he escape, or is ignorance the only true bliss?
A really engaging game with some engaging gameplay, story and ambiance. Can't wait to see how he'll make it funny :D

the game also got alooooooot tamer, in the original you had to collect misaos body parts for the ritual.
My disappointment in the lack of “OH MY GOD! LOOK AT THIS LADDER!!!” Is unmeasurable.

This is just "sierra graphic adventure game: horror edition" this was only solidified when indie came to the same conclusion of "I'll be brutally murdered for every mistake."
Sierra games will screw you over in more ways. For example, you did or didn't do something early in the game and ten hours later you realize that you're now stuck in a dead end because of it.
Hey indei, i fully expect this to be lost but I really want to say I truely appreciate your content. It always is a fresh take on almost anything I see and the mix of dry humor, self awareness, and general effort you put in just makes for some banger videos.

God i remember playing this game when I was a kid!!! The telephone death had me in stitches when I first saw it. I'm glad this game has gotten a fresh coat of paint, and is still loved even today.

Until now, I never really understood the joy of understanding a reference. When maus edited the scissorman noise from clock tower over the chainsaw dude, it filled me with a strange, smug contentedness that I wish I could bottle and keep forever.

It's been six years since I last saw a playthrough of Misao, but remembering her expressions and the sudden deaths still screw me up to this day
In case anyone else is wondering, the intro song seems to be Throne by BMTH, right around the 2 minute mark of the song. I was losing my mind trying to track it down by those 5 seconds since the Playlist version seems to have been YIIKed by TH-cam.

hey since it's shocktober, it will only be fitting to say this now, there's an amazing horror game called "cry of fear" it's a first-person horror game made by team pyskallar, it was released back in 2012, cry of fear uses the gold src engine which is the same engine used for half life 1, cry of fear gives some serious silent hill vibes and it might aswell be silent hill but in first person, you play as simon, some random depressed guy, now I don't want to spoil the game, all I'm gonna say is that Simon gets hit by a car and spends the rest of the game trying to understand what's going on, I hope you''ll try it out.

It's a game that tried to be as colourful and quirky as Earthbound, but also tried to be smart, philosophical and edgy too.
The story is a self-gratifying, poorly optimised exposition dump where the main character is a self insert, has a character arc that seems to only seems to matter to the writer of the game and an overall premise that the player is either too dumb to understand what is going on or on the same wavelength that every cutscene is followed by minutes long monologues explaining thought processes straight from the pages of a 90's hipster (the game is literally set in the 90's)

Love watching these rpg maker horror games, I still remember how much I enjoyed pewdiepie's corpse party series and cry's forest of drizzling rain (I think) series. They have some unique charm I don't see anywhere else, and they're always fun to watch.
Misao is great! I also like the slightly different events and endings that happen if you pick either the boy or the girl.

This game is incredible and has a lot of interesting deaths. I also I like that you can choose your gender at the start of the game. If I recall correctly this game also inspired a manga with a similar premise.😊

There's more to the teacher's story as a bonus, but its not really recomended to try to find the secret password unless you're intrigued by the story. Good vid, glad you covered this RPGmaker horror game

There is a true end to the game, you just need to replay the game, you'll know you can get to the true end if the title screen has changed, and it'll change again if you get the true end. Oh and the gender you choose has no effect on the endings.
I may have gotten some bits wrong but gist is: play agan for the true ending, you don't need to choose a specific gender.

I can't believe that they keep polishing Misao after all these years.
Like, it was rough originally when this game was first released, it was all old rpgmaker.
But somehow, we're here, with somewhat the same formula, but with better assets and polished dialogue, but kept the story.
There's a real Corpse Party knockoff vibe to this one.
The original Misao was around long before Corpse Party.
