theres no way im ever going to be able to play this but ill still watch the vid lol.
When you look at it it is quite simple it I the coordination to do it 2 handed is the hard bit
Even just learning the right hand is mesmerizing 😍
Try to learn the right hand melody with just the bass notes on the left hand 😁
@@WholeWheatPiano thanks for the tip!
Great tutorial by the way! Definitely the best piano tutorial I've ever seen
@@Elijahthecubeyboi aw man I really appreciate it, that really means a lot 😭 keep an eye out for more coming out soon 🙏🏽
Bro this is easily one of the better tutorial channels by far. Severely undervalued
Wow thank you so much I really appreciate that 🙏🏽 I hope the videos help!
So ive been playing piano for 2 whole days and this is like, the one thing i want to play someday. I was just curious to see what the right hand looks like.
That stretch from pinky to middle finger is insane to me.
It's a pretty big jump! I wouldn't say this song is for absolute beginners but I do think it's a good song to aim for! The jumps can be intimidating but if you learn to play slowly and patiently it just magically connects. You just need to build good habits and remember that slow and steady is better than fast and sloppy. You'll get it!!!
an actual tutorial. Separate hands, slowed down and then together. Thank you!!! I still won't be able to play but dammit this makes me want to try
You got this!! Just take it slow... one step at a time.. day by day it'll get easier with good practice habits 😁
Every time I hear this song, it just takes me back to when I was like 5-7. I feel like a kid again and think about when I'd watch my brother play OoT
The power of music 😭😭🙏🏽
I’ve spent hours and could not get it, maybe I’ll go back to it again
It took me weeks to learn 😭, don't give up! 💪🏽
I'm glad I came across you. I am trying to learn piano and I think your videos will be very helpful.
I really hope so! 😭 Piano is a beautiful instrument to learn and learning shouldn't be very difficult. Just remember to always enjoy the process 🙏🏽🙏🏽
It's so cool seeing how different this theme is when played Slowly. It almost feels sad...kinda wish it was the theme of the Great Fairy fountains in MM when they're (The Great Fairies) broken apart.
It honestly is overall really beautiful.. it's got that bittersweet feeling like there's a happy future with a bitter past 🥹
Been playing this for a month with no progress (self learn) now it makes sense on how to play it more accurately. Thanks for this!
You'll get it!! Let me know if you have any questions about any parts... I'd love to help! Just tag the timestamp on the comment 👍🏽🙏🏽

Its so hard to find a good tutorial like this one, thank you very much 🙏
I'm glad it helps 😁🙏🏽
Great tutorial thanks for breaking all this down
Of course! Just hope it's easy for everyone to understand 🙏🏽
this tutorial is so good also i rlly appreciate you answering all the questions in the comments they help a lot ♥️♥️
I appreciate that😭
Feel free to ask for help if you ever need it 🙏🏽
Best tuto, love your format
Thank you so much 🙏🏽
These tutorials are awesome.
Thank you so much 🙏🏽😭
Thank you sm !!!
My pleasure 😁
Love it
Cool I loved this tutorial
Feel free to watch all the other ones! 😆😁 Thank you for your kind words 🙏🏽
Thank for the good tut, my fingers survived
Haha nice! I guess I gotta try to make these a bit more difficult 😆
i need 4 hands to play this, 2 for the right hand and 2 for the left
20 fingers sounds crazy 🤣🤣
amazing tutorial, thank you! I especially love how you break it up and explain some of the song structure it really helps to understand what you're playing!
Edit: lol my hands are too small to play the arpeggiated chords (I can do 9 keys at the absolute max, but only 8 comfortably) but I'll skip that step. However I still love how you explain that!!! Makes you think of chords and not single notes which makes it all much easier.
Edirt 2: Ok this song is actually super simple when you think in chords. I'm mind-blown! This is so cool. Thank you for your tutorial!
Hey thank you so much! 😁 I'm glad the chords help. I think understanding the theory when learning a song is such a music hack that's undervalued. Makes memorizing much easier and practice a bit more structured. It's a win win!
cheers for this mate. only been playing for almost a year and this is helping alot! just wondering if you have any tips for how to practice the polymelody with those massive gaps? really good tutorial btw man 🙌
Thank you so much! You know, I know exactly what can help but it's too hard to put into a comment. I've been wanting to make a video about it but just haven't been able to make the time 🥹🥹🥹
A good point to remember though is that whenever the left hand is playing the right hand is playing along with it. When putting the hands together, it's important to know which notes line up with each other... When you're clear about that, then you can start incorporating things like alternative rhythms, metronome, chords, etc.
Sorry if this is a little unclear 🥹😭 there's actually so much that can and should go into playing not just this piece but piano in general it's just too much to write 😶🌫️
@@WholeWheatPiano thanks man, will def take that into account!
I fall asleep this song
It's a beautiful song to fall asleep to 🥹

i would love too know if there is a pattern in the left hand after the cords in the melody? it would help a lot in learning this song!
One more thing, how does this channel only have 300 subs? the video quality is amazing for someone who only has 300 subs and its been here from 2014 almost 10 years yet you only have 300? somethings fishy!!!
ALGORITHIM!!!! FIIXXXXX TTHHHISSSSS!!!!
Honestly the pattern is a bit strange and unconventional. Which is why I think it's such a beautiful song! The chords are quite a big stretch but if you can learn them perfectly and separately from the beginning then putting the hands together becomes a bit easier. It's deceiving!
I only started the channel a few months ago! It's just that I had a TH-cam account for a long time but never thought of posting videos 😅 thanks for your comments though! I hope you can stay tuned for the next videos 😁@@eggz2313
The 4 3 groups are like chopins fantasie impromptu
Fantasy Impromptu is definitely on a different level 🤯
Pretty sure it was inspired by that song

3:07 what if your right hand cant stretch that far to play these chords? I can reach a whole octave plus 1 note but thats it :(
3:07 and 3:14 are HUGE stretches so don't worry about holding all the notes with your hand, use the pedal instead to hold the notes. If anything, I recommend holding all the pinky notes (top notes). You should also practice from Up to Down... get used to making the jumps with the Pinky and Middle finger and practice those two notes over and over... that's the biggest hurdle with this piece. Hope that helps and good luck! 💪🏽
My fingers cannot stretch that far at 1:59
Don't worry about holding all the notes at the same time. It's more of a sweep! Each note is played on its own... If anything, hold the top (pinky) notes!
I started playing piano a few days ago, I can play the entire right hand without problems, but I can't play the left hand, It is very uncomfortable for my fingers, could you give me any recommendations?
Can you tell me what exactly is uncomfortable? Like your pinky? The jumps? The hand positions? 🤔
@@WholeWheatPiano the jumps
@@YoSm411 Are you playing the hands separately? Or together? If separate, play as many of the bottom notes as you can as chords and jump from chord to chord. Don't play the notes separately but as whole clusters and really get used to that before playing them separately.
I cant reach the higher G with my pinky when my thumb is on F... Any pointers?
Can you tell me which part of the song exactly?
Music sheet? I'm having a bit of problem timing left with right hand
Sorry, I wrote out the sheet music on paper 😭
Did you try playing the hands separately first? Since they both play at the same time throughout most of the song you should try doubling every other note (both hands at the same time)
(Ex. A BB C DD E FF G AA) ... I hope that makes sense 😅
@@WholeWheatPianoawesome. I have the full thing posted already but idk if yt keeps deleting it because of the link? Anyways if you'd like it feel free to ask
Sure! Where can I see it? Maybe post a link here for others to see as well 😁@@swanliszt
nvm I tried posting the link several times now but it automatically goes to spam, even if I add spaces. I shared it on the site Noteflight as "Fairy FountainMusic by Kōji Kondō (近藤浩治) Words by ゲイの猿" so if you look it up it'll probably come up.@@WholeWheatPiano
Could you send me the midi fild for this piece? I would love it!
Thanks for the comment and interest! 🙏🏽😁
Just out of curiosity, what would you like to use it for? 🤔
Bro please share the .mid file I would appreciate that alot.
Ok! I'll share it if you can just let me know why you'd like to have it. Like how will you use it? 🤔 I'm not against it, just would like to know for future reasons and videos! That way I can find a way to engage more with you guys 🙏🏽
At 1:59 how do u reach that far
You don't have to hold the chords.. just jump to the last notes. I would practice just jumping from the bottom to the top note (Ex. Low G to high C)... It's tough 😭 practice slowly!
@@WholeWheatPiano thank you!!
There wasn't any help or advice for the left hand... If you or anyone could, a sheet music would help
Is there any particular problem you're dealing with for the left hand?
