That is one nice job,I need to paint my golf cart, but I have never painted anything, glad I found your channel because I want to see more of your work, thanks
You can do it buddy. Don’t be afraid to try. Browse through some of my other videos and maybe something will help you. I’ll try to do a video on how to actually paint here soon. Thanks for subscribing
@@ThePaintPaperHustle Hey man I surely would appreciate that and I am going to watch your other videos, and could you recommend what spray gun or guns I would need, once again I appreciate your time and effort
So if your a beginner just grab you a cheap purple one from harbor Freight or your local paint store. Starting out you’ll cause more issues than the gun it’s just how it is
Nice video. Did you by chance take a video of taking the ezgo apart? I’m going to paint my TXT and trying to decide whether to take it apart or just tape it . Thanks.
So I’d Google “automotive paint supplier near me” and see if you have someone. If not in the past I’ve ordered paints off eBay or Amazon like single stage kits. Also Eastwood sales DIY kits.
This was a single stage paint. Meaning you’re clear and all is mixed in already. You normally don’t put a clear coat over top of a single stage. You can and we have in another video but at that point you could just do base coat clear coat and get better results than single stage
Awesome paint job man!! I have a golf cart project I am working on myself. The previous owner sprayed truck bed liner and I used citri-strip to remove it and while peeling it off, it was taking off some of the original paint as well. How should I remedy this? Do I add the dolphin glaze all over or do I just sand it all down? First time for me doing some paint work so I know very little lol. Thanks in advance
was that a single stage paint? and was that already pre mixed with reducer and activator cause you opened the can, stired and dumped in in the sprayer tank. also, what tip size for that metallic?
It was a base coat clear coat job. The base coat I’m using just gets cut 50% with reducer. You need to read the data sheets for the products you’re using as each are different. To be honest no clue on tip size. I’ve never changed tips or worried about it. I use the something for every job.
Haven been in autobody since 20 years ago when out of high school. Not sure how new paints are, we always used PPG in the shop I worked at. Did or do you still use a flex additive? Back in the day we used it on bumpers and stuff like that. Still have my spray gun and want to paint my golf cart over.
@@ThePaintPaperHustle I do a lot of dirt bike grafix, so the entire bike is covered with the glue after taking the old kit off. Your paint job came out nice. Thank you for sharing that.
Not really. Same prep then spray. I have other videos doing single stage jobs if you search my channel for the key words single stage or look at the CRC Paint Info playlist
So that’s a touchy topic. Body filler on plastic isn’t the best idea at all. But if you absolutely need to then I’d make sure you scuff it good with like 320 grit in the area you’ll be using filler. And understand it could fail on you at a later date. Try to use as little as possible. If you have a dent to fix try heating the plastic and pushing dent out while letting it cool while holding it in place so you have to use less filler. Basically like we did in our bumper repair video which is using filler on a plastic bumper.
So this is from my local paint supplier. It’s a factory color code I believe I showed in the video. If I forgot to show it then I unfortunately don’t know it off top of my head.
This video is alittle old so I don’t remember the details to it with out rewatching but yes there should of been at least hardener in it. Are you sure I didn’t show it before mixing the paint?
@ramhemi75 each product will be different. Whatever product you’re using just follow it’s instructions for mixing. Most all legit paints take a hardener or activator. Some take reducer and some do not.
Wilmington NC and we do not take apart the cart. Has to be brought to us apart and we have to be able to use left over scrap paint for the color for it to be $300.

Nice video. Did you by chance take a video of taking the ezgo apart?
I’m going to paint my TXT and trying to decide whether to take it apart or just tape it . Thanks.
I didn’t. It’s very easy to take apart though definitely not worth taping
OK thank you. I found another disassembler video. It’s mostly rivets. I’m going to disassemble it now instead of taping.
Awesome. Mine had no rivets at all.
Looks good bro!!🦾💯

I’d sand all down that you can then use a high build primer to spray on it and block that. Then see what you get. May need another primer coat

We do not use flex additives anymore as a lot of the clear costs are designed to flex alittle now adays being so much stuff is plastic
Thank you, much appreciated
You’re welcome
Thanks for the video, getting ready to paint my body for the first time. Was that a one or two stage paint job? Thanks
Two stage. Base coat then clear coat
Did you use a clear coat or the clear is mixed with the base color?
I think this was a single stage job if I remember correctly. Meaning it’s all mixed together
Free Tip: Eucalyptus oil gets the sticky stuff off after removing stickers. Does it really easy.
Awesome thanks for sharing that tip

what kind of air compressor do you use for your paint gun?
I have an 80 gallon ingersoll rand

No reason behind why I used that besides I already had it left over. You can use anything in plastic as long as you use bull dog first

Yes this is a base coat / clear coat job
Do you spray right out of the can?

@@ThePaintPaperHustle Omni base coat...looked like you went from the can to the spray..
