During the era of slavery in the United States, many enslaved Black men were subjected to sexual assault and abuse by the wives of slave owners, often referred to as "mistresses." This abuse was a manifestation of the power dynamics inherent in the institution of slavery, where enslaved individuals had no legal rights or protections. The sexual exploitation of enslaved men and women was a common and horrific aspect of slavery, reflecting the broader systemic violence and dehumanization that characterized the institution. This abuse had lasting impacts on individuals, families, and communities, contributing to the complex legacy of trauma that persists today.

My grandmother told me this. I am now 66 years old. She also said buck-breaking was done to punish the romantic relationships between Black enslaved men, and White women. There were no uppity enslaved people. The very idea that someone in shackles could be uppity is totally ridiculous on its face. Grandma Allen’s father was German-Irish. Her mother was Native-American. Grandpa Allen was a pitch black African.
People need to stop thinking about women's the only one got raped and abuse. You never know a black man was taken care of his black children and those children's got taken away from that black man who was they father. Because that black man had to take care of his kids before he got put in slave and his kids
This scenario was displayed on screen by the American Horror Story series, in one the seasons, the story is told about an ancient black witch in New Orleans who took revenge on a female slave owner that horribly abused her husband and other black male slaves. Also in the tv series "Underground", one of the episodes told the storyline of a rich white female owner who hosted nightly, extravagant, black slave parties, she invited and compensated top slave owners to bring their best black male slaves to her particular liking, she scoped the crowd and chose some of her favorite picks to take back to her big house for certain pleasures. And sadly the slaves had to honor their master by doing whatever means necessary to make big money.
The slave trade, the African slave trade, began over an hundred years earlier than 1619. That was simply the first case of an African-descended slave setting foot in what became the United States. The Portuguese started the African slave trade in the Fifteenth Century, I believe by/around(?) 1460. I think.
I appreciate the acute video showing and explaining the horror Black Male slaves were force to endure by white women, however the music often over tones the narrator. Thank you!

If people go to Africa you should ask for the records see if they got any records of people who they put on the boat they should call the name on a piece of paper knowing who these people are either way they had to make up a name. So much talk about trasantlantic african slavery. What about the slavery of Europeans by the Barbary pirates? From 1600's to early 1800's muslim arab pirates from north Africa raided coastal towns of Europe: Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, England, Ireland, Netherlands, even Iceland, to hunt and kidnap people who were taken to the slave markets of Tunisia, Morocco, etc. Those pirates also kidnapped and sold Africans in the muslim arab markets.
@mazbanYahawadah When people always talk about what happened hundreds of years ago, it is because they miss those days, and deep inside, they wish they'd come back. Sweetie, step out of it. Blacks aren't the only humans who have suffered slavery, persecution, atrocities, etc. By the way, black trasatlantic slavery would've never been possible without the help and cooperation of muslim arab traders and black themselves. It was blacks who supplied arab slave traders with black slaves, who were kidnapped and made prisoners by the many inter-tribal wars, to later be sold to european trasantlantic slave. Europeans didn't venture into the jungles or into the savannas in Africa looking for slaves, they didn't need to, because they had a steady supply from muslim arab traders and their own suppliers, other Africans, specially the kingdom of Dahomey and Nigeria. Maybe you should go visit Africa and find from the real source the truth about the african trasatlantic slavery.
