Hughes has tremendous first step which sets him apart; at times you don’t notice him cause he is small but when he gets the puck, watch out. Jack has 34 goals and 78 assists in 50 games.

This kid is not only a goal scorer but such a play maker. He sees the ice so well and that’s just not something that can be taught... some players just see the game differently... and you can see by the type of plays he sets up. That’s honestly more impressive to me than the goals (even though they’re amazing as well) he’s confident with the puck and very patient... I’m not surprised he went 1st in the draft!!! Excited to see what this kid will do!
Looks like a cracking young talent, his agility in particular is really impressive, we'll see find out if he's drafted #1 overall.

He is truly amazing. Those hands and the way he just skates past the defense is spectacular. Unfortunately, all these videos are coming from games against boys. He should have went to Switzerland like Matthews to play against men.
He'll be manhandled in the NHL for sure and will have a hard time skating like that. It'll take a couple of years till he's ready to make an impact in the league.

@@TylerEubank It aged just fine. He was manhandled the first three seasons. He was thrown around like a rag doll for fucks sake. He made a real impact in his fourth season, which is according to my prediction.

The thing is he moves so fast that he can do that if he wants. There's prob like 5 players in the NHL that move laterally like Jack does

@@defuzins Did you see johnny in the playoffs? Buddy was a ghost. As soon as a team willing to be physical showed up he dissapeared. Thats how you stop you stop these tiny guys. If he had size it would be a different story so unless he hasnt hit puberty yet I see him getting crushed.
