They are accapella, with a beatboxer and absolutely make any song the perform, there own. Trust me, you need to explore their videos!!
This performance by Johnny is quite different from Trent Reznor. But I interpret both versions the same way- some people live their whole life as a damaged person, all the while going through the motions of ‘normal’ life. Then a point comes where self harm or drugs seems like the only escape from the pain of trying to fit in.

Jacob Collier is known well by me since he was young and sang in Magic Flute with one of my boys. I see Jacob as Bobby McFerrin on steroids. 😂. One genre of voice I missed on your channel is treble singing. As a former(very) chorister at the Abbey, and with two sons and five grandsons who followed my example, I feel American audiences ignore this unique voice. Perhaps you might educate them. Cormac Thompson (Empty Chairs) or James Rainbird (Spielberg's Empire of the Sun, song " Suo Gân") might be good starting points.
