Well I started out with a 2008 Benelli Andretti X50 that already got 45 to boot stock. Upgraded rollers, variator, CDI and exhaust and now gets 55 mph and I weigh 240.
I really hope you read this post , I bought a 100 Cc big bore kit from amazon and put everything on correctly , the piston right blew out , I could tell because it was smocking white smoke from the back pipe , but the. I bought your 150 dollar big bore kit set (the beast ) and never had that problem again and I driven over 1,000 miles already
Best first mods- *little lighter rollers and/or performance vatiator *derestricting *get the carb in tune (play with jets and needle, usually need more fuel) Beyond those, youre not going to see much gains unless you do a big bore kit. Those are some simple mods to get you some more speed/takeoff
Third and last comment for me. Many years ago after having a very big accident with my 750 Honda my wife and I agreed on letting me purchase a moped this is long before these Chinese scooters were all over the place. I got it from Pete's Cycle and they told me that the top speed would be 30 miles an hour and that's it. I asked the sales person if there was any way to make it faster, he said that they can install an aftermarket exhaust and it would go 42 miles an hour. I let them do the work and amazingly enough it worked. Later down the road I thought I would play with it to see what else could be done bad idea as if the going over 60 miles an hour the engine seized up and it ended up going in the trash.
49cc Havana Classic - trying to get closer to 40-45 mph around town, now that oldest daughter is "off campus" ... scooter is back home to myself and wife. We enjoy it but its a little slow... you mentioned doing this yourself ? pretty handy macgyver , but have never installed mods on a scooter. Please advise as I am very interested in the upgrade. Thank You for posting
You forgot the super tiny, restrictive exhaust system and that requires a huge modification. That tiny, little muffler alone with its 1/2 inch opening blocks the gasses tremendously.
I put a bigger exhaust on my 49 cc scooter. It made it sound better and faster. The top speed is 45 mph now. I also took that aggravating air box off and installed a pod filter on the carburetor!
I purchased a high-performance carburetor from this company over two months ago and still have not received my part. I would never recommend or ever buy another part from this company again, don't waste your time.
Thank you for posting these self help vids. They are easy to understand and detailed. Im trying to learn about my new bike and your blog has been very helpful.
The biggest issue I have seen is the valves and ports, they are too small, mine would not spin over 8500 rpm, with no load, but a minimum of 47mm bbk, and a head with bigger valves! That is the big improvement, nearly 3mm larger intake and exhaust,, with the A9 cam, then port the head, only remove the sharp edges, and restrictive areas, and a aftermarket intake, and port match it!! The biggest extra improvement is chamber work on the head, in shroud the valves!! To improve the low lift flow! Then cut the valves down, remove about . 040"-.050" but lap them first, to see where they seat, a sharpie will work, test fit, and leave about . 010"-. .020" from the seating area, then bevel the chamber side, about . .100" wide bevel, then rounding off to the seating area, then back cut on the back side , past the seating area, valves are cheap, if it's destroyed, buy more and lap them in, and start over! It will greatly help low and high lift flow, complementing the cam and larger ports! With aftermarket intake,, get a cab atleast a 20mm but a 24mm, maybe a 26mm, with larger bore, and stroker engines, a 28mmto 30mm can possibly work with tuning! And a free flow exhaust of course! I'd say, with a good CDI, and coil, spinning upward of 10,000+ rpm, you will need valve springs and titanium retainers, ncy, for about $50-$60 for 12,000tpm springs, but for more modest builds the under $20 11,000 rpm springs will work, and titanium retainers optional, but if the valves float, around 9500, the springs can be shimmed, slightly, but check for clearance! I'd say it is possible to go from 3hp, to nearly 9-12hp is possible! A 150cc cam will fit, with the spacer removed, and bearing moved in to the spacers place, checking fitment, I'd check for lift and clearance before use, there may not be much difference, but more lift and duration, is possibly incorporated in the larger engines cams, especially with the cam upgrades for the 125,150cc engines, it's worth looking into anyway, the a9 is the only cam I have seen for the 50cc, and a9 and a12 for 150, but I'm shure they are more! But the biggest gains are with the bore, and the cam, and valve work, head porting, chamber work! Of someone could re bore a 125- 150cc heads to fit a 50cc with a 50-52 mmbig bore, that could be cool!
How do I install high performance kit and the big bore kit? I want to but it but I don't know how to install it or how much should I pay to have it installed
how [much] will this affect gas mileage? how 'bout de-restricting it? (I have a TaoTao 50 which is not getting 100mpg, likely due to hilly terrain and carrying a good passenger load)

Well these carbs fit all scooters ? Like i have a KYMCO scooter like 50 the carb might fit but the ignition coil is different on my scooter and the MCI box control spark. It’s mounted on my carburetor if I have that correct I don’t see anything else on there. There are a few things different so I might not be able to use the ignition wire or ignition box.
Will that work on any 49cc I have a boom revolution 2021 scooter gas. If so can I buy these parts like you said for $100 I don't know where to send payment to I'm not on Facebook
I need to get a performance carb with jets that fit. I need a performance clutch and varator. I have cdi and coil and plug. I know it’s a 50cc but I know it can go 50mph I’ve had one before but I have the ice bear trike. But I am needing a performance exhaust for it but it’s going to be a bugger to get it to work.and I’m having trouble getting the right parts for it I got brand new jet set but they are the fat to ścrew in a better main jet I don’t know what to ask for when ordering jets or performance parts for it.
Hi. Bought a Peugeot Django 50cc (4-stroke) would need some help how to get the scooter a little faster (65km). have had a number of 2-stroke which I know how to remove. but 4-stroke I have no idea !!. appreciate all the help I can get
I have Zuma 2016 4 stroke, speedometer says 40mph but gps reads 35mph. Has 3200 miles . It has EFI , is there a way to increase top speed for cheap $$$ ?
I don't normally thumbs down videos and even though it crossed my mind I suppose I won't start now. perhaps his other videos are better but he is just selling stuff without a proper explanation. He is part of the way correct but a good CDI actually retards timing at high rpm and it's not a big air box causing a breathing problem; it may have a small air inlet and of course a paper filter is restricted in cfm airflow compared to a foam element like he is selling. 2 stroke performance is much like any other engine in that the parts must work together for results. His carb choice may not work with an existing air box and therefore require the foam filter or your own modifications. exhaust is just as important as intake with 2 stroke performance and the number 1 reason these engines feel restricted is too much oil injection and too much fuel or running rich.
U know what is also bolt on that will make a 49cc go faster? A big bore kit 😂 those air boxes are designed that way for a reason. As in how the flow of air comes in thru the venturi in the carb. Theres only so much 49cc can do... And how does the CDI advance the timing when the timing signal comes from the stator? Maybe an offset woodruff key would do that....(yes im aware it goes thru the CDI. I do work at a shop) I'm not saying your kit wouldn't help. But IMO ur wasting ur time with out a BBK. U need the power before you can harness it
I have the exact same kit he's talking about but I didn't buy from him I bought it from some other site people be telling me one reviews and just what I hear that there are scooter win 35 mph but they put that Big Bore Kit Hunter CC bore kit on there and it went or goes about 60 or 70 it all depends on obviously the type of scooter you have and how big and heavy you are. But even if it go slower because you're heavier you can still Tinker with it by buying other parts for it to make it go faster like you can get an exhaust a better exhaust that will make it go 20 times faster 30 this is all about looking around it's not like a car as much for a harder to make these things faster I'm trying to get mine to go 100 mph
So I added a big bore, big valve head A9 cam cdi, orange coil bigger carb 20mm kn style air filter ,bigger exhaust (free flowing)performance adjusted timing. running bigger jets pilot and main jet, CLOCKED IT AT 50 mph SO WHY DID THE EXTRA POWER SHRED MY BELT?
what kind of K&N filter do you use?? like a part number would be awesome. i mean, i can't exactly just machine a threading point to go on there without knowing details. or what modifications to make to the air intake
Hi mate i have recently test drived a 2nd hand 59cc scooter and the owner has modified it with an up gear kit, 70cc sport cylinder, sport pro variator , and exhaust. Hi mate. I have a 50cc 2 stroke scooter that has been upgraded by previous owner with variator kits and 70cc technogas and stuff. Runs 100km/hr on flat but from a stop on a steep road, it boggs down and gave me a headache. Do you think i need to change the contra spring to a stiffer one like 1500 or 2000? It currently has a stage6 medium contra spring but m not familiar what stiffness this spring is. Thanks for any help.
I know this is alittle late and you've probably found out it was the sprocket by now. But yeah incase you are still wondering why it does that there you go..
Please noone listen to this guy. Exept more fuel and air argument, he is right about that. If you want more speed tune your transmision, get an exaust.
I am aware, i had my scooter for 3 years now. One of the 1st things i ever did to it was drill a few small holes for the air flow where my filter is, i just put 3 holes at the bottem of the box/cover, so no water could get in, and i did go from a 24 carb to a 30 and i found a new exhaust on amazon for $300, it was overkill. But i went from being able to going up a big hill my family call smurf hill because blue paint is all over the road from a wreck lol. But that hill used to slow me down to 15-20 maybe 25 MPH. Now i stay steady between 35-40. BIG HELP. Totally worth the $. Now i can do the speed limit lol.

@@cegaming1503 yeah exactly exaust and more air+fuel helps alot . Ik that beacose i have had one high end setup on one scooter and now im building another high end setup on a derbi senda
