What's New on the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon?
th-cam.com/video/IWJwSCUGsLA/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for showing NOT a Rubicon lol. Everyone always shows Rubis, but a lot of us want to see the lower models. Much appreciated
Facts!
haha!
I just received my 2024 sport s and can’t rave enough about it. Compared to the 2023, it’s outstanding. Best of both worlds with the updated interior
Awesome to hear!
I just ordered mine, 2 door from the factory. I won't be in heaven for months.
@@philkane4390 the wait is worth it! I got lucky and received my order in 5 weeks
How reliable is it? My mechanic tells me to stay away from Jeep & stick with Toyota, Honda, etc.
@@sds6303 I’ve had it for 3.5 months with no issues
The antenna thing at first look seems pretty great, but I wonder how much it changes the cost of replacing the windshield; something most of us would buy in 6 packs if they sold them that way.
Thats a big problem we see!
Gotta admit that inside touches really do bring it out. Ty for sharing ... good to know the grills are easily swappable
That gold stitching and color is awesome!! I personally love how Jeep didn’t mess too much with the exterior, I’m a huge fan of how they look and I’m sure Jeep knows not to “overly” change the wrangler/gladiator style…
Love all the hard work your putting in, keep ‘‘em coming!! 👍
Love the bronze!
Please do a 4xe sport walkthrough!! Something new to the jeep platform! Great videos!
We gotta find one!
Yeah I think that interior looks nice!
We think so too!
Not a fan of the light fabric on the dash. Definitely something I'd want to look at changing.
I've used that new Uconnect system in a rental car, it was phenomenal. I picked up my 2023 sport S in April, spec wise the new one is ~$500 more msrp than mine, but would have been 2K more expensive overall since there was some promos going on at the time. The old Uconnect is still top notch, especially coming from the touch screen interface in my old Patriot! I do have the split 5 spoke silver wheels from the 2024 models, they must have started using them early.
Great to hear!
Interested to know if it's still the Continental or Schrader type TPMS. All I know is mid 2021, there was a switchover. Only know about this because I picked up a SWEET set of almost brand new High Altitude 20's and the TPMS don't sync with my 2018.
Excellent...thanks!!
You got it!
Mine is Is 2016 Oscar Mike edition comparison allot body wise is same as features but really been allot updates since 2016 but it's basically same Sport S. Keep up great work guys awesome channel.
Thanks for the comment!
Does it still have the Dana 30 in the front?
Have you been able to test out their build quality? Is it as firm and strong as the 23 model? I have seen some videos and the handles and every other plastic part appear to be loose. Great video as always
Nope, but our 2 door will is in. So we will really be checking it out
I really hope to get a Sport S in the future unless they want to help a brother out and put those power locks and windows in a Sport. I'm just gonna keep banging that drum lol.
haha! so ready for our crank window 2 door
@@DIRTROADCRED haha I just can't do it. Gotta be able to roll all the windows down at once.
Wonder if the dash with the uconnect 5 is interchangeable with the 2023 Rubicon
We might have to test it
I'd love to see a review of the 2024 Sport S 4xe
When we find one we will!
Any chance you'll come across a 2-door Rubicon X??? Really like to see one before making my decision. Had a 2017 Rubicon Hardrock 2-door. 2-door Rubicon X's are impossible to find.
If we see one we will talk about it!
Appears the front grill has the larger openings compared to the 2023’s and prior.
They do look bigger
Any thoughts on the possible UAW strike? I’m not going to lie, that has me a little nervous about the Jeep I ordered. It has me looking at other Jeeps.
tbh we have no clue. Could affect it
You have to upgrade to the black grill to get the new grill for the sport
Yes you'll have to order the new grille for the lower trims!
Waiting for a 24 4xe, but there aren’t any. Any info on when they will start rolling into dealers?
We wanted to do a review on one! Haven't seen any yet
Sport S is a pseudo Rubi, especially with the upgrade Wheel/tire option. Best looking optioned / Looking Sport pkg yet.
Well said!
What's the part number for the new grill???
Not sure but you can order one here
www.distinctionapplied.com/?ref=DIRTROADCRED
Whats the price on base model 4 door 2024 JLU ?
At dan cummins you're getting under MSRP. Jeep's website has all the pricing
So many Rubicon never had their locker engaged once. Should just get a maxed out sport s.
Good reasoning!
Matt, I sat at a dealer yesterday and worked with his dealer order system.
1. the website online and the dealer order forms do not match up
2. Bikini blue is an available color to order.
3. Rubicon Wrangler and Rubicon X with 35's only available with V6 engine, not 2.0 .
So, I'm thinking, order a 2024 Wrangler Rubicon without 35recon pkg, drive it for a while and then add my own lift and tires. Does this sound like a viable option? I'm 69 years old and i thought if I bought a Rubicon recon pkg all the work is already done for me. Your thoughts? thx
Do it! Definitely build it your way
Have you noticed some build quality issues? I’ve seen several videos showing some pretty bad build quality for 2024 wranglers (interior only)
Haven't seen anything!
Is it just me , don't you think the new grill looks like a grill out of the jeep renegade?
We've heard that comparison a lot!
That bronze interior does look better. Don't know why that wasn't in the 392. Maybe to add insult to injury, Sport S owners should have 392 style "220" badges on their hoods. LOL
We like it! wish it was in the 392
So the "Willys" jeep has the locking gas cap from factory only...............?
As much as I would love one, as cool as the Wrangler looks, Toyota will always be the most reliable & dependable with even more resale value.
this new grill reminds me of jeep renegade it is too delicate
haha I've heard that once or twice
@@DIRTROADCRED do you agree ?
interesting
Indeed
High altitude!
Need to check one out!
And if you order a stick shift 2-door like I did, be prepared to wait more than three months for them to even SCHEDULE it to be built...
Manual delay is frustrating
@@DIRTROADCRED: Especially when there's zero news on why or when....
392 owners that hate leather are gonna be pretty happy I guess
haha!
Sport and Sport S only comes in a "turbo charged" lol 4 banger? (Unless you get the manual transmission, I don't want the manual trans,) and I do not like "turbo charged" 4 bangers; after 80k miles they are twice as worn then a non "turbo charged" motor. V6 only! Oh and lmAO 50k for a 4 banger? You can't make this shat up! And you can't be serious for 50k ??
What is everyone's thoughts on if Jeep will make a 3 row wrangler? (not if you like that idea)
That would be interesting!
I think that's a dirty move by Jeep, if you buy a Sport or Sport S you don't get the new grill. It's like they are shaming you for buying the lower trim levels.
I know a bunch of people that like the old grille. Fortunately you can buy a new one paint matched after market.
@@DIRTROADCRED I understand that, but there's no reason to that lower trims. It should be the same grill.
The white dash seems out of place, not a good idea.
We like it!
I am not a fan of the new infotainment screen. It is too large and two air vents were made smaller to make it fit. My 4yo sport S two door, has the 7" screen, the perfect size! And it has a dial so that I can reduce the brightness at night. Otherwise too hard to see out the windscreen at night. Reviewers always forget these dials.
Not for everyone!
Just a bronze color. Relax. Cost next to nothing to do it.
WE LOVE BRONZE
Cloth dash is a total joke
definitely helps with the sound deadening !
