Stellantis prices are 50 to 60% too high and in some cases its higher than that and its why they aren't selling anything. Wrangler base price should be 25k with the high trim in the 40's.

JEEP just lowered their prices. FIAT/Stellantis tried to market JEEP as an upscale brand. But, it's not. Hopefully, the damage can be undone. JEEPs are not as reliable as they used to be.
I wish they would make a two door Gladiator. It could have a proper bed and a departure angle useable off road. It would look proportional and pretty sick with a lift. I would buy one if it was under $50k.

you should include the 17-20,000 in rebates ,but even with rebates their still over priced - I had 13 wranglers that I bought with EP pricing and traded every year for a new 1 keys for keys than covid hit,13 new jeeps never losing a penny trading in at a jeep dealership, now everything is messed up=free money cause it at zero rates, and even at zero rates the US government is dead broke-cant pay 1 penny of principle back of that 35 trillion-wait till we hit a recession-will go straight to a depression 2 years
HOW does Stellantis not realize they’ve overbuilt these Wranglers? When you have dealers with 400-500 day supply then something should tell you that there’s a problem. Not to mention the ridiculous pricing on these Jeeps.
The TJ ‘s & JK’s were the best Jeeps, IMO. Just enough technology to make them better off roaders and they were affordable. Problems began with the JL’s. Problems with the technology, quality control issues, corrosion, and MSRP’s plus dealer markups making them unaffordable for the majority of potential customers. Basically, Stellantis is the problem. Their attempt to turn Wranglers into Range Rovers is blowing up in their face. Go back to basics and price them where they are affordable for the average new car buyer. I own a 2015 JK Freedom. It’s fun to drive and have done a few cosmetic upgrades. I bought it preowned in July 2022. It was the first preowned vehicle I’ve purchased since 1971, because new Wranglers are way over priced. Wranglers are basically toys something to have fun with because they aren’t practical daily drivers.
I own my first Jeep product a JT. You hit the nail on the head on me owning a Jeep. It’s fun! Reliable? No. Fuel economy? Bad. Quality? Meh! Insurance? Expensive. I do love driving it, it’s fairly functional. Jeeps are not cars you need. They are cars you want. At today’s prices anyone who buys one deserves the misery that comes with it.
The area where I’m located, there are at least 7 dealerships with in a 50 mile radius. Each dealership has Jeeps coming out of their backside.Any model any color if one wishes to be a fool and shell out $58,000- $80,000 for a Jeep wrangler. The dealers are not bashful and add on stupid stuff, like chrome muffler bearing plus wheel locks all for $2,500. It’s crazy, these dealer think they can kick you in your ass and you’re going to like it. Thats is totally insane for a 4wheel tractor with electric windows and air conditioning. The car market is not for me, I can’t afford to give them my first born to make a car deal. Plus with bidenomics interest rate you’re buying the vehicle twice by the time ya pay it off. Greed! Is the game now….
I genuinely used to wonder WHO are the people buying the overpriced stock? Mind you, not MY OPINION, as in: "these car prices are ridiculous" overpriced. I'm talking the dealer is literally adding an arbitrary 10k of 20k to the MSRP plus various questionable dealer installed itemized upgrades OVERPRICED. Are they flippers? Are they all wall Street bankers with bonuses burning a whole in their pockets? Then i learned that isn't the case. The majority are just bored losers signing their life away for almost a decade to try to look cool going to Costco. These guys would later make videos about how they are selling such and such and downsizing or make up an excuse while the previously "must have" vehicle no longer "serves" them. "My kid is two now, so we're going to need to..." Did he not consider that with the kid was one years old? Unfortunately, these types have emboldened dealers and have distorted the market for people with brains and Patience.
same a nissan... i have been looking almost every other week since their new frontier uplift... and they sit there for months and months. yet they lie and say they are selling... 41k for a truck with no options no thanks. 31k sure.
In my opinion, no hard core Jeepster would be caught dead driving a 4XE. The 4XE's have 3 cooling systems and a 48-volt battery boat anchor. What could go wrong? The MSRP is just the beginning. Most people will spend another $5,000 or more customizing their Jeep. I bought a base trim Willys Wrangler with a stick and manual locks and windows for $40,000. Six months later, I probably spent another $3,000 for mods and labor without even trying.
I bought a stripped down 2 door sport. It did have a turbo 4 cylinder with the 8 speed auto. The engine broke and had electrical issues. I also had my transfer case break. I bought an extended warranty which paid off. I paid 38K out the door with the extended warranty. I have essentially rebuilt the jeep with strong after market parts, including the axles. Total I have less in it than a rubicon and its better than a rubicon. If one wants a jeep, get a stripped sport and put the after market parts on it you want and build it the way you want. Plus it will not be as complex. Example is the push button front sway bar disconnect on the rubicon. Put a 50 to 80 dollar manual disconnect on it. If it does failed, which it won't, you wont be in well over the grand in parts. My lockers are not tied to the problematic sensors and are fully independent to each other and reliable, unlike the overly complicated rubicon set up. I also do not have that fragile FAD system. The crap they engineer in is nothing but unnecessary complex trouble that fails. Buy the stripped down one and build it up. Oh, I hate the new front ends.
Don Jackson North can sell you a Wrangler for 15k above MSRP plus 2699 Advantage Pkg plus 1199 doc fee plus 1299 lot rot prevention fee plus new battery 899 plus installation
Problem is chrysler/ fiat. Italian ceo's and italian designers are going for luxury . And jeep wranglers are not suppose to be luxury made. And I saw prices jump about $15,000.00 during the covid period. What is up with corporate greed ? Listen to the public guy's !
I'm in the market for a pull behind tow vehicle for my RV in my retirement. I have the money. But I'm not paying what they are asking. Either is everyone else. I will probably get a ford bronco . They are more comfortable. Plus how now who is going to own jeep next year. They aren't making good business decisions these days. Good luck jeep!
@@unclebilly1353 just get an old Isuzu Trooper, 4Runner, Xterra, Rodeo, Pathfinder. They are all very capable, reliable, and more comfortable than Jeeps. Save you a ton of money too if it’s just a pull behind
@revnation_auto, it's not that simple. Most vehicles can't be flat towed. I want my wife to feel like it's her pick of vehicle. She wanted a jeep. But their pricing is a little silly. If they crash and burn. We may pick one up. But she drove a bronco. And she does like the way it drives. Either way. After we spend our time out on the road. We will probably get rid of it and get something that suits us at that time. I wish we could flat tow a 4runner. That choice would have been made already.
Honestly I would love to buy one these Wranglers. Unfortunately these prices surely beyond most people reached. Even I can afford, it definitely not worth. That's not how you throw aways your hard earn money.
Mopar guy here who has owned 2 Grand Cherokees, a Charger, and a Challenger - I'd never buy a Jeep with these kinds of mark ups first off and 2nd off they made that faulty transmission on my 2016 GC and then they refused to admit it was faulty after the young actor had the fatal accident. Ironically my Challenger was the best car I ever owned and miss it so much....
I had a 2014 Ram hemi v8 two door. Not the best year for Ram on paper, but it was the best truck I've ever owned. Traffic accident destroyed it. Now I got a Jeep Gladiator Sport S real cheap. I'm kinda missing my Ram. But I'll make the best of it.
Could they use any more plastic! They could not give me one. Had a Jeep in Vietnam as military police escort. The Jeep was amazing, even when stuck in mud, and crossing streams.
If the salesman came out while you were looking at the $63,000 Mojave truck and ask you.."What would it take for you to buy this"? What would you tell him?
Dealers on average make less than 500 dollars on a new car sale. $ is in the trade in they sell or selling used cars they purchase from auction. And its the service department which brings in the bacon for any dealership. If YOU want to blame anyone, it's the Labor Union Guy earning $150 dollars an hour to install a bolt on a assembly line in Detroit and huge retirement packages paid out to BIG 3 Executives.....
Look at all the recalls and reliability ratings on Chevy, Dodge, Ford, and Jeep, and you can see why they are not selling. Compare those brands to Mazda, Subaru, Toyota, and Honda, and the build quality is so much better. Also, those American brands depreciate crazy fast. Most are worth 1/2 in just 30 months.
I paid $22k for my Dodge Ram hemi v8. Brand new in 2014. Recently, it was totaled and my insurance company paid me $20k for its value. I was pleasantly surprised. It did have low milage, I didn't run the piss out of it. What surprised me more was the price of new trucks ten years later at $80k as a more substandard product. Lots of electronic gadgets and less mechanical abilities.
A Dodge dealership text me and I asked for the apr, and they said 6.9% and they lie, so I told him that 2 gmc dealers have trucks starting at 37k and they are Sierra's with a 1.9% apr.
95% will never go off road. Ever. Bad handling, bad aerodynamics, horrible reliability, noisy, poor gas mileage, they have no business asking over $40k for one. I had a '14 JK. These are fun top-down vehicles IF they are coupled wtih a low price. Go get a used one that you won't mind getting dented and scratched, take the top down and actually go off road. They are HORRIBLE road vehicles.
Did they ever fix those oil issues where it both makes oil from fuel dilution and won't allow electric only mode because of the oil condition? Mostly colder weather issues.
Can we talk about how ****** the Wrangler’s interior is? You can barely fit 4 full grown humans, tiny door frames, minimal cargo space, terrible road noise. It’s a really cool-looking overpriced and impractical toy. But yeah, I’ll buy one and get my Man Card stamped some day.
wow what a video about really really expensive below avg jeeps and suv. wow a true clown show a total embarrassment i am Shure bankruptcy is in store next they need a Longistics genius and a hole lotta money to make this right too bad. Great video thanks.
There's a serious problem with Jeep. The average factory Jeep cost $65k. Then you have to spend another $60k in modifications to make it trail worthy. It's a hype where a lot of people are making a lot of money off of you because they made TH-cam videos showing you the great popularity of rock crawling and overlanding. So go! Fix your new Jeep into an expensive monster truck, so you can wreck it on the trails and bring it back to them to repair it. Do you see the vicious cycle?
You're in an area with 2 million people and only 2 CDJR dealerships. They'll sell. And you pointed out their manufactured scarcity. There's only one or two of each trim, color, powertrain, etc. This is how it is all over now. You want a Ford F150 Powerboost? 1 or 2 within a 50 mile radius. you want one with the Coyote Engine? 1 or 2 in a 50 mile radius. You want a silverado with a 3.0 diesel? 1 or 2 in a 50 mile radius. And by the way, the 50 mile radius will have 10 million people living in it. The supply isn't as plentiful as YT makes it out to be. I wish it was. Dealerships are truds.
They will sell, but are not right now. No is paying 8 percent interest on 70k vehicles unless they absolutely need a vehicle. If you go to any dealership on a Saturday, you will be 1-2 car deals being done. When I got out of college, I got a job as a car salesman when I first moved to Dallas. I would sell 3-4 cars a day. As a dealership we would sell 35-50 on a Saturday. Those days are over until our government lowers interest rates and the quality matches the price tag and no cars or trucks out right now are worth half of what they want to charge. We use to take 10k off new trucks before negotiating…..now you get a turbo charged engine in a plastic pos for double the price of 10 years ago.
@@castandblast1852 you said the key words... Unless they need a vehicle. Cha ching. But they don't last forever. Especially now . And When the rates do come down then people who put off their purchase come in then buyers have more competition and less to choose from. Dealers seem to be willing to just wait it out rather than take any sort of loss on a unit they know will sell within 90 days.
If they started making quality, reliable and affordable products people would buy them

Stellantis prices are 50 to 60% too high and in some cases its higher than that and its why they aren't selling anything. Wrangler base price should be 25k with the high trim in the 40's.
Can't trade because trade values are in the schitter, interest rates are still high, all these discounts are great if you're paying cash, which would be the best option.
Take $20,000 off the MSRP then it's getting reasonable... BMW pricing at your local CDJR dealer.
Yep, you’ll find better deals at our local BMW dealer, it’s ridiculous
I would rather have a BMW
Both my Jeep Rubicon wranglers have been awesome. Reliable, fun to drive and unbelievably capable off-road! Love them!
No corrosion issues?
@@luismunoz1213 No, never had corrosion on any of my jeeps
It's not just the dealers that are done it's the whole economy
At 02:48 that is a 2024 model because it has the windshield antenna on the passenger side instead of the external whip antenna. Plus the front grill is the 2024 version.
The Hornet is a modern-day Nitro or even Neon that is being priced out at 50k+...wtf.
I'd take that $70,000 and go straight to the Lexus dealer to get myself a Lexus GX460...slightly used one, of course... or I could get a 4 year old Toyota Landcruiser...... a brand new Lexus RX or BMW X5....or that Acura MDX... so many options...😅😅😅
You can get a decent GX in the 50’s
@@revnation_auto hallelujah to that...
You could literally buy a low mileage CPO 2021 Ford Raptor for 70k.
Lol, agree. Every time I see vehicles hitting the 70k mark, a GX always comes to mind. Seen some nice preowned 2023 gx460 in the low 50's.
I said the same thing the other day. Old school look. Leave the four doors to ram
I just want a simple willys 2d stick shift with either 2.0 or 3.6 engines. What are they marking those up to out the door?
Stellantis don't make an entry level vehicle , chosen profits over people , how's that working out for them 😅
DON'T FORGET THE EXTRA 8 1/2 PERCENT FOR THE TAX AND LICENSE.
I bought a 2009 Wrangler Sahara with some of the good options and I got it for around $28,000. Today, even if I could afford a $60 - $70 Wrangler, there is no way I'm spending that kind of $$$ on a Jeep. Stellantis is the single worst thing that has ever happened to Chrysler/Dodge/ Jeep.
In 2019 I bought wife her 1st ever new car. For out 26th anniversary. I figured if she could be with me that long she deserves it. So she wants a new Escalade or Expedition. I.say he'll know. You have a 30k budget... lol image now 5 years later. She would get nothing. Lol so she picked a Jeep Cherokee. And it was 32k so I did it. Sun roof. Leather everything. It was loaded. And it's a nice ride. She wanted a Grand Cherokee. For 42k out the door. I.said no.. damn wish I would of been flexible. It was loaded also. Not top but had alot of stuff. Now that sub is 60 plus.
I sold the jeep in March of 23 for 26k to carvanna. But 18k down on a 23 telluride and that jeep was better. By far but wanted a 3rd row for the grandweens... also a 10 year warranty on motor and Trans. 5 year on most everything else.
I almost let her get a gladiator for 52 k instead of the telluride. But talked her down. And when I say let... I mean that very losely .. the telluride was 43k and it's loaded. It's the ex
When you say the premium that you must pay, are you talking about MSRP or Gas? because that thing takes regular unleaded gas
The reason the “boring trucks” are cheap with little goodies is so someone can buy it and upgrade everything
you should include the 17-20,000 in rebates ,but even with rebates their still over priced - I had 13 wranglers that I bought with EP pricing and traded every year for a new 1 keys for keys than covid hit,13 new jeeps never losing a penny trading in at a jeep dealership, now everything is messed up=free money cause it at zero rates, and even at zero rates the US government is dead broke-cant pay 1 penny of principle back of that 35 trillion-wait till we hit a recession-will go straight to a depression 2 years
I purchased a used 2023 Rubicon fully loaded 4xe, low mileage for 38k. Would never pay these high prices on new
HOW does Stellantis not realize they’ve overbuilt these Wranglers? When you have dealers with 400-500 day supply then something should tell you that there’s a problem. Not to mention the ridiculous pricing on these Jeeps.
They are delusional
From $51 all the way to 73K? This is insane. It’s like they don’t want to sell them.
Yep, it’s a mess
Depends on the dealer and location.
"My kid is two now, so we're going to need to..."
Did he not consider that with the kid was one years old?
Unfortunately, these types have emboldened dealers and have distorted the market for people with brains and Patience.
Long Island lots don’t look like that. Where are you? Most don’t want the hybrid models. To many issues.
same a nissan... i have been looking almost every other week since their new frontier uplift... and they sit there for months and months. yet they lie and say they are selling... 41k for a truck with no options no thanks. 31k sure.
Some of those jeeps are 12k more than a Ranger raptor
Dang near all of them, really dumb
Over priced! I paid $63k OTD for mine and not worth it. I’m stuck with it. Very good for daily drive on bad road conditions, perfect mall crawler.
I know, right! My thoughts as well. They try to get you coming and going.
Jeeps sales ARE up…..but the dealers sales are WAY DOWN! Let’s see those numbers a year from now…..
😂
Dodge Hornets here in Scottsdale have $16k off sticker. I still would not by one! Gladiators have $14k off
Problem is chrysler/ fiat. Italian ceo's and italian designers are going for luxury . And jeep wranglers are not suppose to be luxury made. And I saw prices jump about $15,000.00 during the covid period. What is up with corporate greed ? Listen to the public guy's !
I would sure hate to be a car salesman about now...trying to sell any make/brand.
How many dealerships are doing this? Is it fair to say "all of them"?
Are they "Scarcity Managers/Creators"?
Way to much $$$ for these. I have yet to see a Hornet on the road.
Ive only seen 1!
I've seen one, and it probably was someone at the dealership going for lunch.😅
Honestly I would love to buy one these Wranglers. Unfortunately these prices surely beyond most people reached. Even I can afford, it definitely not worth. That's not how you throw aways your hard earn money.
Yeah it’s ridiculous
Mopar guy here who has owned 2 Grand Cherokees, a Charger, and a Challenger - I'd never buy a Jeep with these kinds of mark ups first off and 2nd off they made that faulty transmission on my 2016 GC and then they refused to admit it was faulty after the young actor had the fatal accident. Ironically my Challenger was the best car I ever owned and miss it so much....
Mopar is a dead brand..hood cars
I love the Challenger as well. No surprise that you had issues with the GC.
@@mabelpup8502 ehh I thought the same thing with Cadillac like 20 years ago. Still here.
I don't know any dealers in my area that have closed.
Could they use any more plastic! They could not give me one. Had a Jeep in Vietnam as military police escort. The Jeep was amazing, even when stuck in mud, and crossing streams.
The suckers are rated to cross 30" of water!
Nice! We have a family home in Vietnam. I’ll get a Jeep next time I’m there.
Dodge hornet should be 18 to 22 grand and the wrangler should be 20 to 30 grand
If they drop 20K ,..... still to expensive for what it is
The people are being fleeced like sheep, by price gouging on a MEGA scale!
Yep, it’s garbage
If the salesman came out while you were looking at the $63,000 Mojave truck and ask you.."What would it take for you to buy this"? What would you tell him?
Jeep, Just Empty Every Pocket.
When you trade you basically just give them your car and buy theirs.
Just wait and pay cash for a used one that someone already put a lift and goodies on it for half price
Ole Toyota finally joined the group w massive recalls. Their new CEO cut costs and now there newer engine design is being recalled.
Toyota and Honda aren’t far behind as of late.
Hornet should be less than 25K to that
Maybe they are doing some sketchy sales like selling it to themselves lol
The 4XEs aren’t selling. Especially when the eastern states are getting fined for having internal combustion engines.
Did they ever fix those oil issues where it both makes oil from fuel dilution and won't allow electric only mode because of the oil condition? Mostly colder weather issues.
so you would still pay 35k for a second hand jeep.. really...
3.6 engines blow head gaslets on firewall side
Sounds like a bad day for those buyers
Awesome video, funny also lol jeep is smoking 🚬 crack 🤣
Jeep got greedy and started asking for too much money. They need to return to their roots or else nobody is going buy them anymore
wow what a video about really really expensive below avg jeeps and suv. wow a true clown show a total embarrassment i am Shure bankruptcy is in store next they need a Longistics genius and a hole lotta money to make this right too bad. Great video thanks.
Rube Icon.
Jeep can keep them. Hope they enjoy all those free take home work vehicles.
I will just keep my 06 TJ. For 70k you are in Lexus suv range. .
Toyota is still marking up some of their most popular models.
Toyota is the greediest company on the planet and is run by fvcking morons.
Jeep is going to announce a 50% cut off ALL vehicles this year:)
They can keep all of them😂
Yes, Jeep sales are up.......except they below the feet....😅😅😅😅😅😅
What does that mean?
$72k for $32k if that quality. Stupid
Last few years Jeep wranglers and Broncos have become mommy vehicles.
My 2004 is really reliable... 268 k
$70,000 for a Jeep held together with Elmer's glue.
Way, Way, Way overpriced.
Ppl need to wake up and dont be fool thinking these garbage overpriced crap cars are a good deal.
JEEP RENAGADES ARE JUNK.
To much no thanks
Lot rot is real
Who wants to buy bug ridden vehicles?
