The consecration by the priest of the bread and wine supernaturally changes the bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ ( Transubstantiation ) amazing how many of my Catholic friends don't believe this anymore the lack of respect for the sacraments have caused a crisis in my beloved church. If you believe in the True Presence, please consider becoming Catholic, of coming home. Then, if you are in a state of grace you can receive Him. If one is a Catholic, but not in a state of grace, then one is supposed to refrain from receiving until making a sacramental Confession. In other words, we can't just receive whenever we want.
Father would eating his flesh and drinking his blood also in a way represent his bloody sacrifice? We are responsible for his death so we must partake in this meal to be redeemed ?
