Cardinal Woolsey said to Thomas Moore 'can't you just support the Kings marriage publicky and keep your own beliefs to yourself' . Moore replied 'if we do that it leads to disaster for society.' Dear Fr. Ed and Janice, I work at Charles T own Retirement Community for the last year. Unexpectly, I got up and just left Ascension SAH . . Where's the Holy Spirit leading me? I just listened to the sermon where Fr. E d is being sent to Charlestown by the Holy Spirit .

When the visionaries of Medjugoria asked the Blessed Lady where most souls go when they die - she told them most go to Purgatory , the next largest number go to Hell, and very few go directly to Heaven.

I attend Sunday and Holy day mass for years and after all those homilies I have NEVER once heard a priest speak a word about Purgatory or Hell. Or even the need for all the attendees to go to Confession. This is so sad . The first obligation of priest’s is to make us realize the realization that there is Hell.

I don't go the Mass to hear the homily..I go for communion. BUT IF I did go for the homily...I would go to here Father Meeks.

A powerful and eloquent articulation of the challenge we all face, every day. Will we follow our own will, our own desires? Or will we submit to a power far greater and wiser than we are? From my perspective, the parallels between Christ's teaching, and that passed on to us by Lao Tzu, are uncanny. The Way of which they both speak, is the same. What we are called to do, is the same. Great spiritual truths, unpolluted by human manipulations, are remarkably similar. There are many branches, but a common root system. Truth is truth. We are not the masters of the universe. To act as if we were, is to live in hell, in that waste dump of bad ideas, bad actions, and bad ideologies.

I think the lack of preaching about hell is part of what caused many to leave the church over the last 50 years. Everything's fine, nothing is a sin..that helped no one.
