hey, great job! I love hearing somebody prove that the bass clarinet truly is a lovely instrument--i'm playing this piece at an audition in a week and this recording gave me some great pointers!
I know this piece, I played this piece, I love this piece and you played it very well!! It's a relief to hear someone play the bass this good. Best regards from a colleague in the Netherlands.
I played this song last year for my recital as well as Governor's School audition. It's a beautiful song and you did it justice. I'm in 11th grade now.
I personally love the tempo you took it at. When it's slower, it just gets a bit boring. And with this fast tempo, the ending is even more impressive. Well done.
this is very nice! wow! i'm learning this piece (in progress! :P) the triplets part is killing me! not because it's hard to play, but it's hard to have a smooth transition in terms of sound quality when you play those appregios.
Man this is one of my favorites to play! I've never actually gotten the chance to perform this but someday. Great job! You have an absolutely beautiful tone! :)
I CANT WAIT!!!! soon we are going to have all county try outs!!!! Im bass clarinet and im doing Crazy Train!!!!! that should give my opportunity a good chance. Bc that song with the bass clarinet is BEAST!!!

@jzuss0808 Now I play PRESTIGE bass clarinet BC1193. It's a wonderful and well made instrument. ww.buffet-crampon.fr/en/instruments.php?mode=productDetails&pid=134
@jzuss0808 Choose what you feel comfortable with. I play on the Privelage Selmer paris but used to play on a hard rubber low c bass called kessler. Just incase if money is tight. These basses aren't cheap haha

Muito bom, que som!
oops, just mixed up the title. Sonatine it's for quartet
@TheDevastator711 Wow, awesome, but for district auditions down here in SC we just have to do 4 scales including chromatic scale.
Can anyone tell me if you need an extended range bass clarinet for this piece? and if not can someone tell me where I can find the piece?
Very good, congratulations. Isn't it Ballade?
I'm playing this as my solo in a few days... any tips?
Is this playable only on a Low Eb, or Low C?
If it meant anything to you 8 months later, a regular bass is all you need.
Maybe,Low C
if you care 4 years later, it is totally playable on a low Eb instrument
@xKaishisxMoonx no, the lowest note is a low E.
@ashikaganguly what did you play this for? Also, can I have yo digits? I own something of yours....
w h a t. t h e. m e s s. !!! lol
unbelieavable. Although I received a Superior on this song, I didn't play it nearly as well as he did :) Superb!
Thank you. :)
No the lowest note on a standard bass clarinet is low Eb E flat. This bass clarinet has an extension to low C.
I play on Brad Behn's mouthpiece now.
No - I don't have the score with me but I believe the lowest note is either E or Eb.
ソロコンこれ吹きます
this might be annoying but could i get sheet music? i'll message my email
