I've been to WT concerts four times and every single one was awesome ! Sharon's voice is incredible and their compositions are real hymns. This is a symphonic metal band that deserves the name - especially with their formidable live performances !
This was amazing! :D Within Temptation really has a special place in my heart, and this song especially. I saw them live years ago in Stockholm, Sweden. It was a small venue because it was when they were pretty new, at least here, but it was a utterly magical experience. I was just beginning to discover Wicca back then and this whole album resonated very strongly with me, so many songs about the devine aspects of nature. I haven't listened to their new music as much but this song really takes me back. :)

One of their most famous concerts is Lowlands (2002), but that would be of course only their older sound... My favourite WT, actually, but still. they've done (and grown) a lot since, so it feel more like a snapshot of what made WT the success they are, than an accurate representation of what they are now. I love 'Aquarius' best, from that era!
I've seen Within Temptation live twice. Once on a very small concert where they were the headliners and a beginning Epica with a very young Simone as one of the first bands to perform. That's where I've discovered Epica. The second time, I think both were in 2003, was at Graspop Metal Meeting, Belgium. That's where I've discovered Sirenia, which you should check into (at sixes and sevens for instance). I was also there to see Lacuna Coil (Heaven's a lie), Italian band. Something more to discover for you :-) if you haven't heard of them before.
I've seen them in my hometown, before the fame. Alphen aan den Rijn, jongerencentrum "het Kasteel", maybe 30-50 people present. And at het Castellum, remembering their time in Alphen. Going to their show with evanescence, in march '22. B.t.w. I don't like the video, with the pictures put in.

I was back in 2004 in Evanescence concert in Greece. It was a nice one. However some weeks later in the same place I witnessed End of an Era concert of Nightwish with Tarja. It was the most fantastic experience in a concert of my whole life. I like epic and symphonic metal. Especially everything that has classical music influences. So, I have been three times to an Epica concert. Unfortunately every time I was in an Epica concert I was disappointed by the sound. Nothing compared to their DVDs or albums. Xandria that was their backing group back then sounded much better live than Epica. However, in a festival in france (Vin d' Alcace, 2012), first group to disappoint again with mediocre sound was Epica, but then Within Temptation followed. It was the most amazing concert ever! Imagine it started raining heavily in the open and people started leaving but Sharon told to the microphone: 'where are you going? We are going nowhere!'. Then started jumping up-down inside the rain singing amazingly, for more than 2 hours nonstop! Followed this Nightwish were next group but with Annette. Their sound was amazing but comparing to the Tarja concert they were a shadow of their former self (Even though Annette was really good in the recorded songs, in live was not so good, especially with Tarja's era songs). However since then I had not the chance to hear live Nightwish with Floor singing. I hope I can live that experience with Marco once more back with the group. This is not to disrespect Epica. I really like their music and I could try a fourth time to go to a concert of them. But Within Temptation is a spectacular band, with amazing sound and stamina! Have a nice day and keep up the nice reactions.

There's something about the Netherlands, isn't there? I mean, it produced Floor, it produced Charlotte Wessels (Delain) and of course, as you just heard, it produced Sharon den Adel. So much Within Temptation out there! I personally like Dangerous Mind (there's a cool video someone put together using MCU clips, making it all about Loki) and Our Solemn Hour.
I loved WT once. They were one of may fav bands but they have started to play pop. I am not able to listen to last albums... But still WT are (were) truse symphonic metal band. Nor Epica nor NW only WT and Therion are true SM bands. I think that you should react some song from their first album - "Enter". Maybe look for "Candles". Fantastic gothic song. BTW: I`m still waiting Therion reactions (Live Gothic show).

This is one of the most underrated bands ever here in the Netherlands I think....While being one of our very very best!
Due to see WT for the first time in March 2022 (with Evanescence). One of many brilliant confinement discoveries for me. I just cannot wait.
