So many questions: 1)What is it that your squirting on ink? Alcohol Blending solution or Isopropyl alcohol? 2)What strength of isopropyl alcohol do you use for best results? 3)Do you recommend any type of mini heat guns? 4)Which alcohol inks work best? Thank you. Kelly
Hi Kelly, 1 & 2) I always use 99% isopropyl alcohol, I buy this bulk from Costco, but I’ve tried 91% and it works fine, but I wouldn’t go any lower than 91%. 3) The heat gun I use is amzn.to/3M9GNt9 it doesn’t get too hot on the low setting and the air doesn’t blow too aggressively. You can also use a hair dryer on the low blow and low heat setting. 4) I like Ranger inks and Piñata the best, they blend and dry down so nicely and reactivate really clean. Other brands I use are Copic and Marabu which I like b/c they have such a wide range of colors but I find they don’t always dry down or reactivate clean, sometimes you’ll get chunks of pigment when you try to reactivate the dried ink, it doesn’t get reincorporated into the iso. Hope this helps! And thanks for watching 💕
Hi Cindy, I primarily use grafix craft plastic 😃 unless I plan to finish the piece with resin then I’ll use primed white hardboard. The purple and the dark green pieces in this video are done on hardboard and the other two on grafix. Thanks for watching 💕
Hi, your work is beautiful. I notice that some of the ink you squeeze looks as if it’s been diluted with alcohol. Is that right? And if that’s is true, do you have extra squeeze bottles in addition to the alcohol ink original bottle for each color.?
Hi! I will dilute with alcohol if I’m pre mixing colors. For example some of the deeper pink colors made by Ranger inks are super vibrant and I’ll dilute with alcohol and mix with a brown ink to mute it before painting. And yes I buy empty precision tip bottles from amazon to mix these inks in, same bottles I fill with the isopropyl alcohol for easier application. I hope this helps! And don’t hesitate to ask more questions, I just take a bit of time to answer ☺️
I mostly use grafix craft plastic and occasionally primed white hardboard if I plan to resin the piece afterwards 😃 hope this helps and thanks for watching 💕
They are just refillable water brushes used for watercolors, I just fill them with isopropyl alcohol instead 😃 hope that helps and thanks so much for watching!
Is there a difference between use and the hair dryer versus the original tradition of this painting by blowing by breathe. I've been watching this for a while and I think by blowing in a fish tank tube do you think I get your head up in the fumes which is harmless, but you would have more and better control than you would with that stupid blow dryer that everybody thinks that makes him an artist I don't see no artists is using blow dryers to create art
That air control is wizardry 🪄💨
That’s gorgeous!!!❤
Thank you so much!
Beautiful ❤

Do you have any video where you totally reblend all colors and start from beginning?
Hi Vera, th-cam.com/video/rx3-qBBB4p8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GyKNNgnPBrAYmwEO this one is probably the closest I’ve got 😃

And I’m not referring to the plain alcohol you are adding. Thanks😊
