  • Creating alcohol ink lines with gold isn't always easy, sometimes it takes a bit of manipulating to get the inks to flow and dry the way you want. In this video you'll see me manipulate the inks lots with my hand to blend the colors and a fine paint brush to soften and straighten lines. Hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching!

Hi Madeliene your art is beautiful. What colours did you use in for this art?

Hi Corinne, I’m using Ranger’s shell pink, Copic peach, Copic black and Piñata’s Brass 😃 hope that helps, and thanks for watching!

I am just beginning this art and love your creations. I am finding the metallic paint is rubbing off after it is dry (not completely ). Is this normal. I have purchased inks, not homemade.

Hi Julie, yes this is normal once it’s completely dry it needs to be sealed to preserve it. Best sealants are acrylic varnishes like Liquitex gloss varnish and Kamar Varnish. Make sure it’s alcohol free or else it will reactivate your inks and ruin your piece. Hope this helps and thanks so much for watching

Hi Madeline, is that your heat gun you are using? Following you intensely. Beautiful work.

Hi Mary, at first I use the manual air blower tool made by Ranger to blend the colors, then I use the heat gun. I purchased it on Amazon, it’s called Mlife mini heat gun. I use it on the low setting always, and make sure to move it around so the heat doesn’t warp the synthetic paper. Hope this helps! And thank you so much for asking and for watching! 😊
