    G'day Viewers! Welcome back to the Car Wash Chronicles!
    In this video I jump inside the motor room of a self serve car wash where all the equipment is for the car wash. I explain how the soap is pushed out into the bays as well as how the high pressure water is adjusted to the right pressure.
    Be sure to check out my instagram for more info and send me a message if your'e interested in a phone consultation.
    After working for my Uncle for 2 years at he's car washes I really wanted my own and I came across this car wash. It was completely shutdown for many years so I approached the owner of the land and made a deal with him.
    It took me 6 weeks to bring it back to life and open it and now the customers are starting to pour in. Not to mention I opened it during winter so I am yet. to see its full potential but here's a small taste of how its going so far!

    We are jumping head first into the buzz. My question is on where to source your soaps and cleaners. The previous owner lost his supply and only offers soap the he buys in gallon jugs from Walmart. I'm looking at maybe the zep line or granger but I have no clew what to buy and how to ajust.

    Can you show where the air and chemical mix together and where the foamer is for the foam brush(and possibly other functions)?

    • @CarWashChronicles
      @CarWashChronicles  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The air hose going into the flojet pump. The air is what makes it foamy. Without the air it’s just liquid (soapy water) coming out of the brush

    • @Rodj12341
      @Rodj12341 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarWashChronicles What I mean is the air injected after the flojet. The ones I've seen online have a manifold where the air line and chemical line meet above the bay before the boom or there is a foamer above the bay that is a PVC pipe where the chemical and air line are connected to, and it has steel wool or another material in it to create the foam.

    I watched a prior video where you broke down the expenses for the Main St car wash. Thanks for sharing. In those expenses you did not say anything about the soda vending machine. I assume that this is someone else's soda machine and you are charging them rent for it. I am curious about so let us know more about the soda vending machine and how that relates to your car wash business.

    What size is the red hoses going out to the bays ? Mine has 1/4" poly hoses. I read somewhere if i would use a bigger hose ( 3/8 or 1/2" poly braid) that i would not have to use a foam generator because of the extra space in the hoses gives it enough room to foam up and also the poly braid last alot longer than just the hard poly 1/4" hoses.

      Sounds good as a starting point but if it’s on a busy road and very visible from a tonne of cars going by everyday than should be able to build it up with a the different in bay functions up and double that income to at least 150k. Buying the land will pay off in the long run also.

    How long it took you to open the carwash ones you got the deal? 30 days? I want to do this but you haven't touched up on the downtime before opening the one carwash that was shot down and you had to refurbish.

    • @CarWashChronicles
      @CarWashChronicles  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Being in Cali I don’t have that problem bad at all. Maybe 1-2 weeks out of the year lines may freeze. I just ran defreezing wire through my pvc pipes that my hoses run through and put it on a timer so it comes on over night during winter to keep them warm.
