100% understand how some of the discovery and looking at how protestant church is focused towards the sermon became a challenge. Where as the homily is only part of the lead up to the eucharist makes sense. This has likely been one of the biggest turning points that's caused me to explore catholic church. Sermons get longer, personalities get bigger. It doesn't seem Christ focused to me. As a former pastor (15yr ago) I participated in the whole focus around sermons, and thats unfortunate. Doesn't mean people don't come to Jesus and know him through this, but it should not be the focus and build up of a gathering. I see in the catholic church a focus on Christ and community. It's refreshing to see worship focused towards God, and coming to mass as an act of worship instead of "what can I get out of it". So it makes sense that this continues to happen within the protestant tradition. Yet despite challenges and quarrel within the catholic church, it remains one church. Thanks for sharing your story.

I really like how you said you learned that Protestantism was more of what they were going to stop doing. That is a very profound statement and it’s eye opening. It acknowledges that there was an original church and someone decided to do things differently. Very simple yet profound. I’m a new convert to Catholicism. I was received into the Church this past Easter. May God bless you in your journey and spreading the good news! Also, just wanted to clarify that the 30-40,000 Protestant denominations has been debunked. There have been a couple sources that say it’s around 200 minimum probably higher but we don’t have that data to say exactly. Regardless 200 denominations is still A LOT of division within Christ’s body. I just wanted to share that with you so you can research it yourself if you want to. I used to think that too, because I heard it a lot of places.
Hey thanks for this. I too was into skateboarding for most of my younger years. But God showed me that learning a whole bunch of tricks was idolatry. I have always believed in God, but had always struggled with pornography addiction. But truly understanding the Catholic view of Mary has completely set me free from it! I feel this true peace and easy yoke in my heart, because the burden has lifted. Praise the Lord, and may many people see your testimony.
Hi Wendy, the Catholic Church has answers to these objections if you’d like to look into them. It’s probably not possible to have a thorough discussion here in the comments section, but there are lots of websites online that could explain, if you are curious. I’m sure Catholic Answers has covered these objections, as well as Dr. David Anders. I wish I had more time to make more videos about these specific kinds of objections… maybe I will someday.
Thank you! As a Baptist, (and former skateboarder), son, grandson, nephew and cousin of sincere, commited and faithful Baptist Pastors, I will be joining the Catholic Church next October 9th 2022 (along with my Baptist wife), after 4 years of study of the Church Fathers and Catholic teaching. Richard Dawkins didn't impressed me either, because he is a deluded guy. God is not a random complex arrangement of pre-existing matter and energy. Such a thing could never be God as described in the Bible. He is the Creator of matter and energy, since neither of these could arise by chance out of nothing.
@Eremias RanwolfMost people don't realize that the Bible was written for Jews to read.If don't understand Ancient Judism you can't interpret the Bible correctly.Prior to 1900 most people could not read.
Your testimony was all beautiful! I was raised Catholic and never cared about it or God when i was young. I ended up questioning everything and getting BS answers from the priest and my family. That led me to become an atheist for over 12 years. I was fervently against God and anyone who believed in a god. I went out of my way to persecute people for their beliefs... Now today i celebrate just over a year of fully coming back to the Catholic Church. I'm not an emotional person, but my first confession after 12 years, i felt the weight of the world come off my shoulders, and with the, my eyes filled with tears and i left the confessional before the priest could see. But God has been showing me the way back home for a few years, I've just been too stubborn.
Beautiful testimony of a search for Truth who is a person not a thing. Thx for sharing, it has gave to me a cradle Catholic an enlightenment of my faith, in Jesus and the role the church has in fulfilling his mission of salvation for all his children. 😇✝️
Very interesting conversion story! As a cradle catholic I was away from the church for 20 years. Didn't understand how wonderful our catholic faith is. Now I'm digging deeper and so in love with my catholic faith. So what happened to the gentleman you liked? What did he say when you converted to the catholic faith? What did he learn about the Protestant movement?? What does your family think of you being catholic
Yes, we are so blessed to be Catholic! And funny you should ask… after I finished recording this video, I realized that I never clarified. We are now married with two children and one more on the way. ☺️ He was of course supportive of my decision but left it up to me. As for the rest of my family, they definitely wish I were not Catholic but we are still very close.
You might already be aware that Ignatius of Antioch and Polycarp were both disciples of the Apostle John and that Ignatius documented the first known use of the name 'the Catholic Church'. Justin Martyr also wrote a great description of the Mass circa 155 AD including the current Catholic practice of taking the Eucharist to those who were unable to attend. One more, if you had never heard, Malachi 1:11 is a great prophecy for the offering made in the Mass complete with incense. God bless
I would be interested in seeing a video all about Sola Scriptura as I came from a Dutch Calvinist background. I enjoy listening to your videos while I work.
I'm glad you are enjoying the videos. I am more focused on conversion story interviews at this point, but I've also written an article on my website featuring 12 problems I see with Sola Scriptura. Maybe I will make a video going over those objections when I have time. For now, you are welcome to read the article I wrote: filedunderfaith.com/?p=6

Thanks for sharing your experience.
I’m a cradle Catholic, and recently and almost unconsciously, I noticed that I’m kind of in a quest of deepening my knowledge about faith. Interesting, I seem to always gravitate towards hearing from people who converted to Catholicism more that someone who has been Catholic all her/his life. Testimonies like yours have more value to me in a way that I can’t fully comprehend. Thank you for sharing it and I’ll look forward learning more about our faith and our God with you in this crazy journey that we call life.
I want to congratulate you first of all for becoming Catholic, then for the beautiful testimony of your journey to the fullness of the Truth! I am a cradle Catholic and love the Church and it’s Teachings. I totally understand your account of your RCIA experience; I have served as a Sponsor and am aware of our shortcomings! But please have this in mind, when a Protestant converts to the Catholic Church, it’s because they know Scripture and are convinced something is lacking in their churches! One more thing, I really believe Converts are better Catholics! Welcome and thank you for your beautiful story!
The church on earth is joined mystically by Gods grace with the church in heaven and we pray for the souls in purgatory. This wonderful truth is available to all in the church
I can imagine your catechetical experience. Not all Catholics are true to the Faith. And I believe that Protestants who return to the Catholic Church realize the lack of training and some doctrinal deviations and customs. Thanks for sharing.
God bless you dear sister, may you win more souls for Christ.ive learnt so much from your testimony. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit!Amen❤
Thanks for sharing your faith journey and may God bless you for following the truth. You made many great points. St. Paul writes in 2 Thessalonians 2:15 to hold fast to the traditions that were passed on, the sacred traditions of the Catholic Church are biblical. Protestants have their traditions, such as bashing Catholics, but they have not been handed on since the Apostles through their valid successors. Everyone has a certain bias when it come to scripture, especially when there is no magestarium. What I find odd is the sola scriptura folks completely miss everything about Mary. The Hail Mary is there in Luke chapter 1 in the annunciation and visitation. In verse 28, the angel Gabriel says, hail [Mary] full of grace, the Lord is with you. Verse 42, Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb [Jesus]. If she is full of grace she is holy...holy Mary, mother of God...and in verse 43, Elizabeth calls Mary the mother of my Lord. Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death...anyone can pray for us, but who better than Mary. My point is that Mary and other Catholic beliefs are biblical, but because of the lens they view scripture, the Bible alone folks miss it. I am not trying to bash Protestants, just open their eyes to what is there. Sorry for going off on a tangent. Thanks again for sharing your story. I hope what you are doing becomes tremendously successful for the Lord and you too. I will be praying for you and your family.
Great insights! And thank you so much for your encouragement and your prayers! I’m so grateful that the Lord has put this project on my heart, and I hope to keep working on it well into the future.
I just recently found your site and am very impressed with your guests and content! Thank you for your enthusiasm for the faith. I am a convert now for 50 years:)
I very much enjoyed this testimony, and also your interviews with other converts. As a lifelong Catholic, i especially appreciate the honesty and perseverance your journey has required, not sure i could have done the same if i were in your shoes! Peace!
Just finished listening for the 2nd time. Awesome Megan. 👍 I checked out your website and totally agreed with your demolition of Sola Scriptura. Perhaps at some stage you might also write about the heresy of 'faith alone'. Jesus clearly commanded Christians to bear fruit (and that a good tree cannot bear bad fruit) - a teaching that is mostly ignored/not taken seriously in the Protestant Church. Regrettably, and sadly ironically, AGREEING with a lot of what you say isn't the same as BELIEVING it. As I was saying on the video by Kimberly, it really is a pity that I never had a chance to look deeper into the Catholic faith before I deconverted in 2020. Btw, this might sound strange coming from an atheist, but this channel really deserves a lot more subscribers!
Thank you for sharing your testimony! I am a cradle Catholic who went away from the faith and was “saved” in 2013 and have spent the past 10 years in the Protestant Church and now I am wanting to return to Catholicism. Thank you and God bless you! ❤
I am currently in RCIA and having a great experience so far. My religious background sounds a lot like yours. Grew up Southern Baptist but always knew that was not what “fit” for me. Thank you for sharing!
Welcome Home! Unfortunately there are lackluster RCIA programs at some parishes. I experienced one as my wife was converting. It was a mixed bag, but was at its best whenever the pastor gave instruction.
Yes. Luckily I had my now husband’s encouragement along the way, and that helped a great deal. It was helpful to know that the instruction there was not all there was to Catholic thought or catechesis.
stumbled across your testimony. wow. most of your journey is what ive been going through. im in RCIA at the moment. Getting confirmed in March! God Bless
Protestant worship is similar to ancient synagogue worship which focused on the singing of psalms (songs) and the reading and teaching of the Torah (scripture). Catholicism and Orthodoxy are similar to the temple worship in Jerusalem where also the psalms were sung and the Torah read, but flesh and blood SACRIFICE were also offered. In the new Christian temples it is the bread and wine, which in the process of offering become the flesh and blood of Jesus, that are SACRIFICED. And sacrificed also for our consumption.

Amen! Hallelujah! The God we serve is a True Living God! Thanks so much for sharing your faith...its such an inspiring testimony. St. Cyri l of Jerusalem (+ 386) confirms : “By partaking of the Body and Blood of Christ we become one body and blood with Christ, we become - Christ-bearers (in Greek: Christophers). In this way, according to blessed Peter (2 Pet. 1 :4), we ‘share in the divine nature’ ” (ct. Catechetical Lectures, XXII, 3). God bless.🙏🥰✝️
Thank you for your thoughtful and moving testimony. I'm sorry that RCIA was a negative experience for you. I became a Catholic before RCIA existed, and much later not once, but twice, in two different parishes, I tied to become part of that ministry, but found it very, very frustrating. It was unfortunately highly structured and aimed towards people who had no strong background in scripture or church history. I could see that some of the catechumens we're also frustrated, but when I tried to address their needs I was told I was being "disruptive." Sigh. The moral of this tale is that yes indeed, Christ did establish His church and gave us the blessings of the sacraments to nourish our faith and grow in grace, but the church, like the world, is populated and sometimes governed by imperfect human beings. That's one reason that the prospect of the second coming is so appealing! 😁
Thank you for your beautiful testimony. I had a reversion within the last year and am learning many of the things you mentioned for the first time. Ty for sharing great references. I will definitely check them out. God Bless You ❤

Thank you for your kind words!
John 3:3 KJV Bible
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Thank you for sharing this as a Cradle Catholic I admire your bravery and your passion for truth! May the Lord Jesus bless you and our Mother Mary cover you with her mantle! God bless! I’ll be praying for you!
Thank you for your prayers!

Good sister you are a newly convert..but you know many things so deeply about catholic faith...keep it up..hope your testimony inspires many...
Thank you so much!
I'm seeing a Catholic Answer Apologist in the making. I enjoyed everything from start to finish. Thank you for sharing and welcome home
Hi Ken (I’m assuming that’s your name!), thanks for the encouragement, that is very kind. I’m glad you enjoyed my story.
Thanks for your comment! And that's a good point regarding the number of denominations, thanks for pointing that out.
Welcome home - to the true and only Church. Many more miracles await
Powerful testimony!
What an awesome testimony. Glory to God for the work he has done in your life.
@@FiledUnderFaith Thanks. And I will be going to Mass for the first time on Sunday!
" learning a whole bunch of tricks was idolatry" no it isn't 😂
Learning tricks on a skateboard isn't idolatry.
We are blessed to have you home!
Your testimony will inspire many to learn more about the one true Church founded by Christ.
God bless!
Thanks Joe!

Thank you for your contribution to the knowledge of our true faith.

'Long distance relationship with the Lord'! Love it!
Jónatas, how exciting! Congratulations to you, and thanks for sharing your thoughts-I agree.
Please try to attend traditional Latin mass if you haven’t until now :) it’s an huge placing to make this experience.
Scott Hahn is a easy read. I don't like to read ,but l can read his books. I read most of his books and they are Excellent 👍

@Eremias RanwolfMost people don't realize that the Bible was written for Jews to read.If don't understand Ancient Judism you can't interpret the Bible correctly.Prior to 1900 most people could not read.
@Eremias Ranwolf I will read Dr Pirate's Books,Thanks
Hail, Holy Queen was the first Hahn book I read. It was so beautiful!
That is amazing! Thanks so much for sharing. And that makes perfect sense about confession. I am SO grateful for the gift of confession.
You are a very intelectual and smart woman!! Beautiful testimony!!! I am a Catholic an I love Jesus ‘ church!!! Best wishes for you!🙏🙏🙏
Welcome home PRODICAL DAUGHTER!!!

Thank you!
Very interesting! I'm not a Christian, I'm Jewish, but I'm still fascinated by every conversion story, regardless of the religion
Thanks for watching, Diana!
Loved this. Thank you. Love from an Orthodox brother ♥️
Thanks so much for watching! God bless you. 🙏
Beautiful testimony of a search for Truth who is a person not a thing. Thx for sharing, it has gave to me a cradle Catholic an enlightenment of my faith, in Jesus and the role the church has in fulfilling his mission of salvation for all his children. 😇✝️
God bless you sister welcome back to our Heavenly Father home . Thank you Jesus
Thank you!
Great video. I am going to share this video with my online community where folks come considering conversion to the Catholic church.
Bill, thanks so much for watching and sharing with your community. Can you share more about your online community? What you are doing sounds awesome.
The joy of your love for God shows in your attitude, your smile, your speech. 🙏💔💔🙏
Thank you! It's hard not to be excited about the many graces of being Catholic.
Great testimony. Thank you and God bless!
Just found you! 🙏💕🙏 I entered the church Easter vigil 2022!!! So grateful for the Eucharist!! Keep sharing!!!
That's awesome, Yvonne! So glad you've found your home in the Catholic Church. Thanks for watching.
Well done Meghan. ♥️
A powerful testimony.
Thank you!
God bless
Thank you for sharing your journey to the Holy Catholic Church . I enjoyed listening to your journey . ❤❤❤❤
Welcome home!!!! Beautiful conversion story! I am a cradle Catholic but I have read everything that Scott Hann has written! Easy and enjoyable read! I am a voracious reader especially of Catholic material. Patrick Madrid is a great author also. And Wayne Weible will help a whole lot with Our Lady of Medjugorje and pilgrimages to Medjugorje! Thanks for sharing your experience.
Everyone has a Religion (atheist is a religion) and everyone has a Pope. My Pope lives in Rome. If your Pope is not in Rome you are your own Pope.
Yes! Exactly!
If you read the history of the bible Peter never went to Rome. I have no pope I only need a Savior Jesus Christ.
Before I recognized the authority of the pope, I was just my own pope. 🤷🏻♀️
@@FiledUnderFaith before I recognize that Jesus as my Lord and Savior I was lost and blind ,now ? I am forgiven and I can see
@@eddyrobichaud5832 You won’t hear any complaints from me about that!
You are so blessed to have found the true faith you have no idea....❤️🙏❤️
I have some inkling of how very blessed I am, but I am sure there is always more room to be grateful for God's graces in my life!
Welcome to the Catholic Faith and God bless you in your journey.
Beautiful, you got so much joy while sharing your conversion. God Bless.
Thanks so much for watching! I’m so glad it was an encouragement.
9:50.. something mind blowing to look into is all the research on the Shroud of Turin. Truly amazing. Lots of detailed TH-cam videos on this.
The church on earth is joined mystically by Gods grace with the church in heaven and we pray for the souls in purgatory. This wonderful truth is available to all in the church
Amen

I checked out your website and totally agreed with your demolition of Sola Scriptura.
Very honest and inspirational testimony. God bless you and your family.
Great conversion story. God bless you and family. Greeting from Indonesia 🙏
Thank you for your conversion story. You're a blessing to all of us.

Thank you for sharing your testimony! I am a cradle Catholic who went away from the faith and was “saved” in 2013 and have spent the past 10 years in the Protestant Church and now I am wanting to return to Catholicism. Thank you and God bless you! ❤

Thank you for sharing. Very inspiring
What a great journey!! But finally your home.. May the grace of God uphold you.. Jesus is risen.. ❤

Have you read Hebrews 9? Was Christ offered once for all time or not?
God bless you always.
Thank you Filed Under: Faith I love your video, I have just subscribed to your channel and thank you for taking time to answer enquiries in the comment section. Don't worry about some argumentative comments, some people sincerely want to learn more and others just want to argue because they are stubborn and foolish.
Thanks so much for watching and subscribing. I'm so glad you are enjoying my channel. Yes, I try to interact with commenters as much as I can, particularly those who are interested in civil discussions or are interested in exploring the Catholic faith. I am getting pretty good at ignoring those who, as you mentioned, just want to argue (though I occasionally engage with them and quickly regret it). 😅 -Megan

Hi there, thanks for your encouragement! That’s an awesome quote.
Happy for you and thanks for sharing your story
