OSHO: Intellectual Listening is a Kind of Deafness

  • Osho speaks in many of his talks about the art of listening.
    "If you listen to me intellectually you miss, not something, but all. Intellectual listening is a kind of deafness. When I say something, you can listen to the word. You have a mind, a library in the mind of all your prejudices, philosophies, ideologies. The word has to go through all those preconceived patterns, and by the time it reaches to you it is no longer the same."

    I had to privilege of seeing him in Oregon when I was a Child. I went there for the Summer with my Mom and Sister and her boyfriend. It was an amazing experience that I never have forgotten. As a child I did not know what he was all about but looking back I never had any bad experiences while in the communion. 2 maybe 3 years. My name was Ma Prem Hasyo back then.

    Who else found that even the dog barking at the background doesn't carry the ability to even create a ripple on the divine pond of the peace he carries with him.
    Instead it seems to complement it beautifully. ❤

    It makes perfect sense! Don't listen with the EGO=Idea of what you think you are. Be grounded in who you truly are, the OBSERVER/CONSCIOUSNESS/MASTER that is aware of all, and just LISTEN!

    I was blessed also to visit and live in Rajneeshpuram. I have been a sannyasin for 45 years. looked deeply into his eyes during silent satsang. It was so beautiful and profound. Truth and reality are experienced in that silence. That's the whole point. He is a blessing to this earth and all who are open to receive it.
    All love and gratitude 🙏 Osho

    Yes, OSHO, yes saying something intellectually is not the right way of saying something, saying something as only saying of the cosmos is prone to intellect say, saying something through mind is always off the cosmic rays. Cosmic way of saying something is allowing the whole existence to sink deeper and deeper into the depth of Sayer. Saying and hearing both co-go in parallels, not vice versa. Windows are opened through the deeper silence of cosmic conversations, physical sayings are always through the mind, without the mind, if said something, is silence.

    • @afac1234
      @afac1234 6 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      It is not about sound, yourself should make the effort to listen the intention or the conciousness manifestation that comes from Osho`s heart. Reading, hearing, watching are just vehicles.

    • @Yogis_BitterTruth_Nirvan
      @Yogis_BitterTruth_Nirvan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      just like you heard him heartly, you just read heartly. keeping previous prejudices, memories, previous level of understanding, ego, etc all those things must not be barrier. when reading pure consciousness must decode the correct meaning of words and while reading it should be tested, tasted, experienced and made complete sense rather then half sense. it makes half sense then read it again and make it full.
