Great video Tony and I will definitely make use of the card when ever I am in Lisbon. I think it is worth the price by just having the free transport in the city.
This makes clear a lot about the Lisboa Card. I'll buy it when I get to Lisbon later this October. I'll buy the Viagem and use that to get from the airport into the city, and begin using the Lisboa Card the next day, after we get some sleep. How many hours each day did you spend in these attractions? It seems each day would be filled, especially if you wisely prefer to visit in a leisurely manner.
The Viva Viagem card has been replaced by the Navegante card, works in exactly the same way. We spent the whole day visiting places, from the earliest opening time till 7 to 8 pm depending on the day.
Unfortunately the Lisboa card doesn’t have a senior card with an appropriate discounted price. We found many of the national sites, including St George’s Castle, the monastery in Belem, etc., have a 50% discount for people over age 65. Senior tickets can be purchased online to expedite the visit.
To be able to establish a comparison it is fundamental to get the facts right. Not all attractions give a 50% discount for seniors. Full price ticket for the castle: 15€. Senior price: 12,50. Lisboa Card: free. The Lisboa Card still provides an unbeatable deal.
Apologies for my error on St. George’s Castle. You are correct that not all offer a 50% discount, but a surprising number do.
