Thanks, Tony, for this great video and the itinerary. We hope to visit Fatima this Spring of 2025 on May 11 - only two days before the May 13 anniversary and celebration of the first apparition. We will be traveling by car. We are wondering if we can sensibly visit Fatima that Sunday morning without being overwhelmed by pilgrims and visitor traffic?
Hi Glenn, we've never been to Fátima on those dates so we cannot answer your question for certain. But there are more tourists than ever, everywhere, including Portugal.

Same for us. We take tours on occasion because it eliminates the hassle of driving and finding parking. We are almost always disappointed with the amount of time you get at each location and the location selected for the prearranged lunch. Thanks for the introduction to the civitatis site. I am exploring it now.
Yes, controlling our own time if fundamental to us. There has to be a specific reason for us to choose an organized trip. But we were surprised to discover the amount of people who prefer to be taken to places. All the best!

I have very bad experience with the outing like that in the video. I bought the ticket one day before expected excursion but the bus don't brought me from the place designed in the ticket and then, the company who organized the excuesion, didn't want give me back what I paid. And the prize is not a cheap one...
From the information you have provided it is unclear what happened exactly. When we tested the trip the van took us from exactly the point mentioned in the ticket.

@@cecillenadela3752 there isn't an organized tour to Sintra we can recommend. All that there is on offer pays a rushed visit to Sintra.
Is there enough in Obidos for a whole day. I think you can get a bus from Lisbon direct taking one hour.
