Ayaneru literally can sing songs based with her characters unlike other seiyuu who use their singing voice instead of the character they are portraying. You can really tell the difference when she's singing as Ran compared to Cocoa, Yotsuba, Iroha etc. when it comes to character songs. For Hikasa Yoko(Tomoe in Bandori), you just need to watch K-on at least and u will know what I am saying. Also Sumipe too but she's not rly active when it comes to vocals in Bandori as Chisato but I'm pretty sure she's also versatile.
@joshheartzel2293 I just mentioned someone from a real-life band, but I do love Ayaneru. Sure, she might be a popular seiyuu, but as a singer, she's underrated. I also love Hiyocchi (Hikasa Yoko) she has a beautiful voice as well, and I also watched K-On! Since it's one of her earlier works and Sumipe yup, I agree, I love her vocal range as well and such a great meralhead.
Roselia is my favourite japanese band at the moment, they are all super talented specially the drummer. They actually had to learn their instruments specifically for this project as they were mostly normal voice actors or models without any music experience (the pianist being the only one that knew how to play). Probably the thing that differentiates them compared to lots of similar bands is the back-up vocals, the change of voice textures adds a lot of depth when combined with the different drumming patterns as well. If you have the chance to listen to Ringing Bloom or Zeal of Proud, they are my 2 favourite songs by them.
Megu Sakuragawa is their drummer, her character name is "Ako", LOVE HER. Her character is like, that "I have the power of God AND anime on my side!" kid from Vine, lol. :D She loves playing fantasy RPG video games and making "cool" poses and using flowery vocab when describing things she likes, but not in an arrogant way just in a really dorky fun way.
Finished the video, now to provide some more background info! Roselia, like several other bands in Bang Dream!, is comprised of real musicians WHO ALSO PROVIDE VOICE ACTING for the anime/games of Bang Dream!, which is absolutely amazing. All these girls are "double threats", they can play instruments, AND voice act. It's incredible. Other bands who can play their instruments (there are 5, out of 8; 3 bands are voice actors/singers only) include Poppin' Party, Morfonica, Raise A Suilen, and MyGO!!!!!. Each band has their own genre and sound. Roselia leans toward alternative/gothic rock. Poppin' Party is a pop rock band, Morfonica has a violinist for an orchestral rock feel, Raise A Suilen is high-intensity electro rock. I'm still getting to know MyGO!!!!!. The mobile game, "Bang Dream! Girls Band Party", features 7 of the bands, with the 8th band getting added in maybe a year. It's a rhythm gacha game, featuring a large original song catolog (including Neo-Aspect, this song!) as well as a large anime cover song catolog (covering a wide range, from old to new anime, as well as some Vocaloid tracks!). (I haven't checked out this group, yet), new anime series (actually airing) - Ave Mujica (goes more into symphonic metal), will receive an anime series revolving around the band. Next to BanG Dream! (abbr. for Band Girls Dream) there are Love Live! franchise which is successful in Japan and D4DJ (sister project of BanG Dream) and Argonavis which was initially linked to BanG Dream! but is not in the same in-anime universe and focused on male music groups. I do remember thinking this song is heavily carried by the drums. They are a charming mess on stage partially because Megu Sakuragawa, the drummer, looks like a little kid who just got a drumset for christmas and is having a blast but the singer is trying really hard to have that metal band feel about her perfomance.
