Hi there... I am planning on moving from Germany to Mossel Bay... I have friends in SA and my plan is to come down in Feb/March whenever this Omecron hype is over in Germany. I am filing for a retirement visa and plan to buy property.

Awesome town- great climate and other big advantages as you point out.
Also compared to say 5 years ago, Mossel Bay has become a much better place to work from for remote workers. During this time, the fibre internet rolled out across the town and the mobile networks/LTE coverage also seemed to improve.
As an agent, you may be able to give a better indication but property prices and rental seemed to have increased a lot? probably owing to the increased demand - driven in a big way by semigration. The semigration trend wil hopefully improve service levels (which I agree can be poor) - people from the larger cities living here as consumers, or starting businesses themselves.
Another disadvantage is that salaries are comparatively low (certainly vs the larger metros).
But if you work for yourself, abroad or remotely then that is not much of a concern.

Yes! You are so right! The fibre and mobile networks are so much better now. Prices have increased a lot during the past year, but there seems to be a bit of a market correction at the moment. Still an amazing place to live. Thank you for your comment🙏🏻👍🏻👏🏻
