2009 sailed from calpae west off benidorm with then new owner, good sailing , 14 tons is twice modern 39footers weight but a lot more comfordible in a sea way . she wont heel as lighter yatches do we took 39knots quale full main and head sail no mizzen she dident round up just speaded up . happy sailing

tagus had osmosis 50p coin big first summer had hull slury blasted removed old lairs antiyfoul and blisters damaged gelcote washed hull 1 2 3 4 times warm sun brought out more blisters .dug out blisters washed again sanded hull put on two pack on hull did all through hulls all bronze ok. uk winter work stopped on hull , tagus was bought by retiring boat bilder 1983 and changed by putting teak whellhouse on cockpit forward of wheel to approx 12in behind main mast . this has second wheel and engine controls .

Sounds like you did a lot of work 🤩 I love the sound of the wheelhouse that was added to it, I bet it’s cozy in there and gives you extra room. I hope you also get to enjoy it on the water in between all the projects 😉

in lock down now . out 2 times last summer . took non sailers thay bought freedom 39_41 cheep but it needs gutting . his wife wanted to know what it mite be like when husband fixes it up .

have oyster 39 have been refitting for 9years allmost there now , in isle of man uk grate sea keeping 15knots+ wind . hope to see more vids soon

We would love to see some photos of your boat 🤩 what projects have you done over the years? We want to tackle the big jobs first and unfortunately most costly, so we have confidence that she is safe 🤞before we go on to aesthetics and interior refit.
