      Yah, and Noah was called a "preacher of righteousness" as he was God's servant in that day. Only the 8 (his family) made it through the flood, all others were destroyed in the flood. Could you imagine if he just built the boat for himself and family while living a Godly life? At least he tried to warn the people and give them a chance for hope. Bet they wanted in the ark after God shut the door of the ark and the rain fell.

    I was pretty much the same as that woman. I thought that to get people to accept and know God, I had to conform to their world views and try to fix them from that through their world view. I really thought like that. for 2 years. After watching this guy preach, how wrong I was. You dont change the gospel to suite other people, you change people to suite the gospel. This is salvation, you cant be lukewarm or God will spit you out.
    I realized that you cant go around aimlessly, checking other religions and beliefs for signs of God in them. You must have a strong doctrine and foundation. THe foundation which is the good news, the salvation of God for all people.

      watching this video made me really think about how much I don't tell people about God. There was something she said that caused me to think and it was this: she said that what he is doing isn't causing them to want the gospel. And all I could think is, they don't want it in the first place. They are God-haters. They are dead in their flesh. I felt so much for that girl, and I should pray for her.

      +Mike Panocatapolis (Not boba fett) It breaks her heart because he is the kind of person that is judgmental, and scares people away thinking that it's too hard to make it to heaven. This is not the way Jesus approached the people, we are to be imitators of Jesus, and approach with LOVE, not condemnation. There is repentsnce, and that is one of reasons why God sent His son, because we are saved by Grace!! No one but God will judge, especially this idiot, pardon my french, that is steering people away from the gospel. Sandra Gonzalez The difference between Your lovey-dovey 'lovely message' approach, which is atypical of the emergent institutionalised church; and Todd's balanced 'Message of Love' approach, is TRUTH.
      TRUTH is the ONLY reference point to Love (1 Corinthians 13:6)
      Without a change in direction through REPENTANCE of sin, because of unbelief in God's reconciliatory Gospel Message, each reprobate individual has an automaton appointment with HELL.

My mom went to church to socialize with her friends mainly and my dad never went to church at all. So aside from a few visits to church as a kid, I didn't grow up as a Christian. In fact, all my life I looked for the truth and by God's grace, He brought me into His truth… Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, Chris Hitchens?? You follow fools- because only fools believe there is no God. They are mere men. I follow the Almighty God and trust in His word. "Science disproves every religious text?" Oh my…. Does science disprove HISTORY?? The bible is based on HISTORICAL evidence and eyewitness accounts. Even Richard Dawkins cannot refute the historicity of Jesus. Why do atheists think that science negates faith in God?? God CREATED science…. The bible says that fear of the Lord is the BEGINNING of wisdom. I pray you fear the Lord.

    I was facing death when I was in the hospital. I was contemplating what was going to happen to me when I die? I was reflecting on my life, all the things that I had looked at, from eastern philosophies, drinking and drugging etc.. So again I asked what happens when I die? At that moment I saw in my minds eye a vision of total blackness, blacker than any the denseness of coal . Also I felt a loneliness that was beyond description. The vision Scared me so badly I felt the hairs at the back of my neck stand on end.I thought this was hell and I need to find out who this Jesus is. God at that moment sent my uncle to me. I hadn’t seen in over 15 years. He asked me if I wanted to know who Jesus is. That was over 40 years ago when I accepted Christ. If God never told me through a vision that I was going to hell, I would have never turned to the Lord. I knew my vision I saw was of hell, because when I read2Peter 2:17 he described the future reserved for sinners “ these people are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. Jesus spoke on hell more than he did on heaven. He did not shy away speaking on it in fear of driving away converts on the contrary it drew more people to His church.

      Milica Djukich Jesus never taught his disciples to preach the a gospel, this is what Paul was doing.
      Why not instead of making this nonsense up, look up every verse where Yahowsha errantly called Jesus spoke concerning how one is to attain eternal life. Leave your Pauline doctrines at the door and you might learn something about Yahowah's will for mankind.
      Understand the following words were never written out nor to be understood as conveyed in a verse in all of scripture: Church, gospel, Jesus, Christ, Holy, communion wafer, bible, Jehovah, Jew, Easter, Lent, Christmas, Old or New covenant or testament, worship of Yahowah or Yahowsha, praying to Yahowah or Yahowsha.
      With the above understood how could there be a Christian church established by the coming of Yahowsha? Or for that matter a new covenant?

Jesus did not say that? Yes he did say all of that! AND ISRAEL IS FOREVER!

      Milica Djukich No actually if you read that verse from the oldest Greek manuscript it does not say that. He said to seek only the lost children if Israel. Go read the verse again.
      You might notice Yahowsha said also give freely what I have first given you.
      What message would the walking talking Torah give his disciples?
      How is it that 17 years later a fellow name Paul is summoned to Jerusalem to explain his completely different gospel of Gratia?
      How is it this same self proclaimed apostle thought he could rebuke those hand picked by Yahowsha?
      Go read Gal. 1,2, and 3 and compare with Matt. 5,6, and 7.
      Why do you think Christians are Israel?
      Where did Yahowah say He was to send the lamb to tear all the promises from Israel and place them on the new Christian church created by Paul?
      Quote a verse from the Torah, Prophets, or Psalms to make your point, or be my quest quote something from the lips of Yahowsha or one of his 12 taught ones.

      MegaMalo. You obviously have no knowledge of the Christian religion. All the stuff you mention is in the Old Testament. It's the history of the Jews. Although it is part of the Christian Bible it is mostly that, a history lesson which includes the prophesies of Jesus Christ. The New Testament is the New Covenant that Christians abide by. It is the New Covenant and Jesus' teachings that drive Christians. You need to do your research.

      You are wrong. You have no idea what you are talking about, but you actually make my point for me. When he says "I have not come to abolish the law but to fulfill them" he is saying that he is fulfilling the multiple prophesies that the Old Testament has about him coming and invoking the NEW CONVENANT. In fact THE VERY REASON HE CAME WAS TO PUT US UNDER GRACE (BY HIM DYING ON THE CROSS FOR OUR SINS). We are no longer under the law. Under the law your sins are forgiven through animal sacrifices. Under grace we are covered by HIS sacrifice. You don't understand Christian beliefs even at its basic level!!!

      David Smith That's hilarious. I thought god can't change? Clearly he changed from being an angry bloodthirsty being to a "compassionate" and "loving" being. Also Jesus meant the old LAWS not just prophecies, I used to study this stuff. And animal sacrifices? really? "Father I have committed a sin, so I will now kill an animal to make up for it". Sacrifices sound a lot like older gods that were created, and your god is no different. You have absolutely 0 proof your religion is remotely true

As for the woman, it is obvious that she is repeating something she was taught that is not scriptural. The woman's "keep your head down and never argue with anybody" attitude is classic postmodern crap, but people who shake their fingers and yell over a crowd are jackasses only out to glorify themselves. If you seriously want to bring people around to *any* point of view it's far more productive to sit down with a smaller group and have a civil conversation about it than to stand out yelling at the top of your lungs at strangers passing by. People who take that approach are only feeding their own egoes.

      Scottish Gold You can have productive discussions in public and with strangers without making an ass of yourself like this. Mixing spots like a campus smoking shelter are great for it. Conversing with people directly, staying level and civil, engaging in dialogue and answering questions will actually get people to listen to you. LamiaDomina You are partially correct. Phillip did that in Acts chapter 8 as an example to the Ethiopian. Stephen was stoned to death according to Acts chapter 9 while preaching in the street in Jerusalem at what is now called, "St. Stephen's gate." There are times to do both, but street preaching is scriptural. As for someone "making an ass of yourself" as you say, my answer to that would be 1 Corinthians 1:18 "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."

      After reading from the Holy Bible Titus Ch3:9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies & arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.10 Warn a divisive person once, & then warn him a second time. Ater that have nothing to do with him. 11 You may be sure that such a man is wraped & sinful; he is self-condemned. And Jesus said : "Everyone will hate you because of me. Whoever holds out to the end will be saved."(Mark13:13) "Do not lose courage, then because it brings withit great reward. You need patience to God's will & receive what He has promised." "Happy are those whose sins are forgiven, and whose wrongs are pardoned."(Ps.32:1) "Some however did receive Jesus and believed in Him; so He gave them the right to become God's Chrildren."(Jn.1:12)
      PROMISE OF JESUS - Whoever believes in Jesus can fil his heart everyday with the Holy Spirit- the life giving water. He will also receive the grace to lead many to Jesus who is the source of this "lifegiving water" And now those filled with this Holy Spirit will: 1.Experience God's love. 2.Receive the Gift of prayer, and the power to understand the inner meaning of God's Word. 3.Obtain peace of mind, self control, the grace of endurance, the power to love & to forgive. 4.Receive the most precious gift of becoming a new creation in Christ Jesus.(like St Paul) above all be committed to Jesus and to the gospel. Who will go to Heaven?- Only those who does the "WILL OF GOD" by obeying the Laws & commandments of God. Even Jesus did the will of God our eternal Father to Bless us. We all know that Jesus Son of God became man to be the sacrificial offering for the atonement of the sins of this world.
      Jesus said "I will never turn away anyone who comes to me." (John6:37)
      GOD HAS A PLAN FOR EVERY ONE (YOU & ME)- Almighty God says:
      "I know well the plans I have in mind for you. Plan for your welfare and not for your disaster, plans to give you a future full of hope, Then you will call to me, and I will find (Jer.29:11-14)

      ***** Jesus said that He and the Father are one, John 10:30, and something very similar in John 14:10. And Jesus referred to God as in heaven. Therefore because Jesus, who is one with God, is near, the kingdom of heaven was near. For God, who is in Heaven, is with Jesus. Matthew 12:50. By doing something like this we either are ignorant of this fact, which is still not good for Hosea 4:6, or we want to play the deceiver and hide in sheep's clothing by claiming we are GOD. so yeah, I'm not Christ and I am not God, I just point to them because i fall and sin. They do not fall, THEY HAVE NOT FALLEN for THEY AREA TRIUNE AND HOLY GOD! I deserve every bit of Hell, and because i know this i am terrified. but I'm more terrified of the one who made HELL and commanded me to preach the WHOLE GOSPEL to unbelievers, regardless of my results for God will be the ultimate planter, waterer and grower of HIS field, Matthew 13. He calls us out into that field to find the seeds that have grown and landed and heard what was preached, He calls some to go to the ones being choked by weeds, he calls some to go to those that the birds have taken away, he calls everyone who is in him to this field. So that the good soil can become full of good and healthy plants, being judged by the LAW that will send those not in the good soil to HELL, 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.. Matthew 7:15-19

      what todd did for this women is the most loving thing anyone will do in telling her the truth about the God she claims to serve. she's capitulating to the world through pragmatism in going with what makes people feel good instead what the Law of God says. she may not be a fire brimstone person, but God the Creator of all things is and will punish all those who suppress the truth of God in unrighteousness(rom 1:18). the reason people think the gospel is a message of hate is because they hate God and love their sin. the LORD God does indeed hate evildoers and will punish them with hellfire if they don't repent but God has also shown mercy to the world in sending Jesus Christ the God-man to take the punishment for those who confess Jesus Christ as Lord. there are some in that crowd who will hear the message of life, respond positively, and receive salvation from God in Jesus Christ who came to give life and life to the fullest. that is the message that todd is offering to this women and to the crowd.

      What God hates, and how to escape wrath
      Psalm 5:4 For thou [art] not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
      Psalm 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
      Psalm 11:5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
      Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God.
      Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
      John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
      John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
      John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
      John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
      John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
      1Thessalonians 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, [even] Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
      Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
      Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
      God justly hates sinners, but offers them mercy and escape from wrath through Jesus, and His Cross.

    If the bridge ahead is out, you do not just sit in park and say 'people will see how I am and try to be like me'. You get out and scream. 'The bridge is out! You are driving too fast!. You are not judging them. You are telling them what actions will place them in peril. I can say 'you are a speeder and you do not use your brakes'. I am only identifying what they are doing. The judgment comes when they go over the edge of the bridge. I can say 'you are a blasphemer' and 'you will go to hell'. I have not judged, I can not send them to hell. I have only identified their error and warned them of the consequences. The judgment comes only if they fail to heed my warning.

      Possibly because religion harms...and even leads to babies dying. Many Christian women silently go for abortions, too afraid to ask for guidance at their church for fear of being gossiped about rather than helped.
      www.christianpost.com/news/70-of-women-who-get-abortions-identify-as-christians-survey-finds-150937/
      Babies and toddlers have died avoidable deaths. Why? Because religious affiliated daycares have had training, inspection, and licensing requirements waived. We are talking thousands of daycares in one state alone.
      Religion has recently resulted in other deaths and many types of harm. Yeah, we are angry.
      Will you consider educating your church about the congregation needing a safe counseling resource for pregnant church goers? You can also look up polls on how many Christians that believe abortion should be legal. It is shocking. Maybe church leaders can offer special talks to try and change minds.

And that trust I have in Jesus is built on a foundation of truth, backed up by documents and eye witnesses that have stood the test of time.
      You on the other hand, won't take a honest look with an open heart because you love the sin you're chained to, and find it easier to do things your way. You are the god of your life, and think you are here to fulfill your every desire. There is a Day of Judgement headed your way; if you are still in your sins when that time comes...it'll be Hell to pay. That's not what I want for you, but that you would turn from your wicked ways and trust Jesus.

      Ace, The Reactor Sure you have sinned! Have you ever lied, taken something that doesn't belong to you, fornicated, dishonored your mother and father, coveted? If you have...then you've sinned. If you've hated, God see's it as murder, and lust as adultery. Dude...your goose is cooked if you are found in your sin!
      All of your "good works" are as filthy rags to a holy God...they won't help you at all in justifying you against the thousands of sins you've committed over the years.
      The next thing is; you have the wrong idea of what a Christian is and does. NO Christian murders anyone! A religious hypocrite is what you are describing...not a Christian!
      You're wrong about Jesus. He has been fully documented and verified. You just deny the facts because of your unrighteousness.

      What ever choice you make, do from your heart with love NOT FEAR. I had that experience about 40-45 years ago. and it happened so quick, my head was almost spinning. One must greatly consider his or her individual intuition (the bridge between spirit and consciousness). One must consider the importance of your individual consciousness. Whether you know it or not, everything is conscious. In a very SIMPLE example, 2 twins may look exactly alike but, it is impossible for them to see and feel exactly the same. Anything you examine deep enough has minor or microscopic differences. One person favors red and another favors purple or pink. One person adores brunettes, another prefers redheads. One person loves the daytime and another loves the night. That is the fabric of existence. When ever you feel doubt, it is a big sign saying you are open to growth. Once you say, "I KNOW", it is a sign that says you give up learning about that thing and just accept it as the ultimate truth. The truth for MOST of us in the 1700s was you could not have a vehicle without a horse. In the 1800s vehicles could not fly. TRUTH! 1900s, no such thing as a handheld device for communication world-wide. TRUTH! I believe your spirit will let you know in some way when people or preachers come to you with threats of death, eternal suffering and damnation, which you should know, that they are preying on your fears. When someone PREDICTS you will REST and WORSHIP at the feet of a god and be cared for forever and everything will be provided with everything you NEED and that is the END of it all, a little light will come on saying, WHAT?!?!?! >> Don't take my word for any of this. Use your own heart and mind. That is why you have it, to use it, and respectfully resist trusting others who have the OWN mind and heart.

    I think what christians are forgetting or don't understand is that God has given different gifts to different people. To some he gave the gift of preaching and to others the gift of ministering hopitality etc. They are all ways that we live the gospel and witness of Jesus love. The eye is not the ear nor is the ear the hands. Each has a different purpose and way of working in the body of Christ. We ought nought to judge the lords servant in what he or she has been called to do. Everyone is different and may receive the truth through different means. I am very introverted and shy so I am not able to go out in the street and preach but I appreciate and love those who do. I can give out tracts and God's word and try to live in a way that honors God and that is my way of being a witness. We need to be more unified as the body of Christ and appreciate the gifts God has given each one of us.

Yes, we are called to live a life that exalts Him, but how many people in your day to day life do you have enough contact with that it will make a difference? People need to hear the Word of God, not just bump into "good people" now and then.

      BoardWolf If that were true, then Atheists would have left Christians alone to their own beliefs and teachings. Thanks to the spread of Atheism, you can't pray in Schools, you can't read the bible in class, you can't mention God or Jesus in any public fashion without being met with hostility, as demonstrated by this comment thread. So, who's being intolerant here?

    • @verinyce5897
      @verinyce5897 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      BoardWolf How is speaking in a public place about Jesus Christ or God in any way a form a intolerance? How is praying being intolerant and hateful? If intolerance means to simply voice your beliefs in a place where people have differing beliefs, you'd be right. But here, that is not the case.
      It's true that awful things have been done in the name of Christianity, but what most people don't realize is that not everything done in the name of Christianity accurately reflects Christian teaching. Christianity is misused when used as justification for violence. Also, the most notable acts of evil done in the name of Christianity occurred centuries ago, not in modern times. However, the same cannot be said for all religions. Groups such as ISIS, Hamas, Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad resort to violence also.

    • @verinyce5897
      @verinyce5897 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      BoardWolf That's what I meant by saying that not all things done in the name of Christianity reflects true Christian teaching. If you don't know what true Christian teaching is, I'm sorry that you had to see such poor examples of it. And yes, we are all sinners (ME especially) and therefore destined for Hell unless we repent and put our faith in Jesus. That is what Jesus taught us to tell people because he wants us all to avoid that fate. If you knew that something terrible was going to happen, like a hurricane, and that everyone would die if they didn't do what is necessary to protect themselves, you would do your absolute best to tell everyone, wouldn't you? If we were taught to just not care about what would happen to other people and just stick with our own, that wouldn't help anyone and it certainly wouldn't please God because He loves us all and wants us to come to Him.

      kylechicago8189 It is the ONLY way. You cannot be saved unless you do repent and have faith that Christ died and rose again, and will return. You do submit your life to Christ, that is what being a Christian is about. The Bible gives clear instructions on this. You can't just "go about it differently", that is the problem with society...do what ever makes you feel good. You can't sugarcoat it, it wasn't meant to be easy...read.

    • @kylechicago8189

      Sherry Blanton It's the 21st century, sweetheart. You CAN go about ANYTHING differently. It's always funny when conservative christianity refuse to change with modern society & culture, yet are the first to balk when the world moves on without them. This is why folks like Rob Bell piss off old timey hellfire preachers like MacArthur or Piper: Bell modernizes while the others stay stagnant. It's no wonder we atheists have it in for certain stripes of christianity. Evangelicalism is nothing but calvinism with slightly prettier packaging. Both use hell and repentance as veiled threats to the gullible in an attempt to gain more "followers". You call living that under that loving? I call it oppression paired with a bit of Pascal's Wager.

      I'm not sure they knew the Scriptures all too well. (Mark 12:24). They didn't recognise their own Messiah, who fulfilled numerous prophecies of old.
      And the problem with the Pharisees was actually that they were hypocrites (Luke 12:1) and did not practice what they preached.
      The Lord would never condemn knowledge of His Word. It may well be that the Pharisees knew Scripture, but they obviously didn't understand it, as Jesus constantly had to clarify and explain. The Bible places great importance upon understanding (Prov. 8:1), and I think that it is understanding that modern (and old-time) preachers often lack.
      Furthermore, I do not believe that woman knows the heart of God, at least judging from what she said. For me she is a prime example of today's apostate "Christianity". She claims that God loves those people, but she has a sort of worldly, sentimental concept of love. I do not know what she makes of Psalms 11:5:
      The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul HATETH.
      While I too disagree with the preacher on his methods, it is for entirely other reasons.
      "I think she knows the heart of God - trumps bible knowledge every time."
      It might very well be that she knows the heart of another god, namely because she lacks Bible knowledge of the true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Again, I don't know what's in her heart, but it seems to me like that she wants to take the offence away from the Gospel. As soon as the Gospel is made attractive to sinful man, it has lost its essence and is no longer the Gospel. I do believe people need to hear more of God's wrath and judgment, instead of being fed suger-coated sentimentalites about how God loves them and accepts them just as they are.
      What this generation lacks is fear of God, and it needs to be instilled into people somehow.
      God bless!

    • @spoonfulofdreams
      @spoonfulofdreams 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yana Nikolova The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom but that's fear that comes from respect and knowledge rather than a simple fear of consequences. God's love is tied into his holiness and though many are attracted to God this is a massive barrier because without accepting his holiness they cannot know his grace. To see the message of love as an easy option is short sighted. Who wouldn't run from a burning house but what if its a drug den and you want a fix? God says "I love you too much to see you throw your life away like this".
      One problem for me is that I've seen numerous hell fire preachers who are full of hate, prejudice and bigotry. Their claim to love the sinner yet hate the sin is simply a self-righteous smokescreen. Don't you remember Jesus saying he came for the sick, not the healthy? He condemned those who had their morality sorted and could only criticise those they saw as 'sinners'. Jesus sought out the sinners and first gave them a message of hope before challenging their behaviour. By example he showed them the difference between holiness and moralism.
      This generation is lost. They see more holiness in agnostics than Christians. There is corruption all around (including the church) that is robbing the poor and disenfranchised and here we are condemning people for misdemeanours.

    Todd, you did everything right and you answered well on all counts. Your manner was temperate, and you were patient. This woman had the right heart, but she is either deceived, or uneducated regarding evangelism. Deep down she does not have the conviction to warn people of their plight, and she has a distorted view of judgement, motivated by the feelings of man, and not led by the Spirit of truth. Your responses were all true and correct and altogether educational for all would be Christians. The evangelists would likely already have the conviction by which you operate. I cannot find fault with anything you said and I pray the woman overcomes her fears and develops discernment and wisdom. I have heard many people say, just live your life and people will want what you have. Well, what is worth having anyway except the peace of God in the midst of calamity. Who is going to see that every day? Wesley was lucky to see it once and he learned he was a false convert and came to Christ. How can they hear unless someone tells them. That woman was very wrong. She says "This is not the way we should do it" but the way the man was doing it is completely right!
    The reason she got so upset was because she cannot stand the truth, if people do not accept Jesus into their heart, they go to hell, she can try to sugar coat it all she wants, that's the truth.
    She is also wrong about what she said about judgement, the Bible does not say you cannot judge, it only states you cannot judge if you yourself commit that sin also.
    For example, if I was a major drug addict and I went around preaching about how people should not get into drugs, I would be a hypocrite and that is the type of judgement the Bible says not to do. If you are not guilty in an area of sin, you are qualified to judge others in that area.

    • @kylechicago8189
      @kylechicago8189 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for proving once again that conservative evangelical christians know fuck all about the world.
      The reason this woman is upset is because Friel (the preacher) is arrogant and thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. Telling people they're going to hell just because they're not dropping to their knees in deep repentance is nothing short of obnoxious. Also, the preacher's truth isn't the rest of the world's truth, now is it?
      As for judging, the preacher most definitely was judgmental, using the bible as a shield to do so. He's a coward.

      kylechicago8189 "...the preacher's truth isn't the rest of the world's truth..."
      Is there more than one truth? You'd think that, by definition, truth is an immutable and immovable thing, no?

    • @kylechicago8189
      @kylechicago8189 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, truth is NOT immutable. What's the difference between "immutable truth" and "truth"? Also, I love how only when it comes to god and the bible, christians jump on their high horse and claim it all to be "absolute truth".

    • @Halo4Lyf
      @Halo4Lyf 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      kylechicago8189 Actually, I came to the concept of absolute truth via science. After auditing a few classes on cosmology and astrophysics, I realized that according to science, there is a capital R Reality independent from my beliefs out there, both spiritual and physical.
      We use science to try to parse out, stumble imperfectly towards the physical truths of the material universe.
      So, doesn't that imply that there is a more meaningful Truth out there as well? Something beyond the atomic mass of hydrogen and the rate of expansion of the universe? Something about moral duty, perfection, life, death, grace, and judgement?
      Because if there isn't, and the material is all there is, then what a sad, sad story the tale of the human race will turn out to be. But if there is, then how glorious and beautiful it is instead.
      I did not come to Christ because I believed, then had to rationalize my belief. For me, it was the other way around. I came to the need for a Creator because our entire understanding of physics is predicated on an uncaused cause. Once I accepted that truth, I set to finding out what kind of god made all this. I found Him in Christ.
      You sit there thinking yourself so superior in knowledge, but I am the one that knows something you do not.
      The wonderful thing is that, what I know is a who, and He really, really wants to you to know Him and to know you in return.

    • @TheGamersState

      kylechicago8189
      "The reason this woman is upset is because Friel (the preacher) is arrogant and thinks he's the smartest guy in the room."
      Wrong, the preacher did not think that at all, all he was doing was preaching what Jesus preached, he did not think himself better than anyone since compared to the glory of God, we are all worthless including us Christians.
      "As for judging, the preacher most definitely was judgmental, using the bible as a shield to do so. He's a coward."
      Lets see, he stood before all those people and without fail preached the Gospel, I really wouldn't call that cowardice, if he was a coward he wouldn't even be there. Also, who cares it he was judgemental? The Bible clearly states that if a human is not guilty in a sinful area he is qualified to judge others. If we do not judge others, how can we know each others faults? Am I perfect? No I am not but it's only through others judging me that I became aware of my faults.
      It's such a shame that getting to know God has become so ruined by Satan, all God truly wants is for people to get to know him, he doesn't want you to suffer nor be at the hands of evil, he just wants to bless you and guide you to salvation, yes it can be hard and feel like a trial but it's worth it to have God in your life.
      Take care and God Bless.

      Those are terrific ministries! Since when is the Gospel supposed to be obnoxious? I recommend you read C.S. Lewis's "The Great Divorce." It presents (IMO) an interesting picture of hell....a much different concept than the traditional "hell-fire and brimstone" picture. Bell's "Love Wins" is a compelling book...he opines that Christians should hope and pray that there isn't an eternal torture chamber awaiting those who chose to reject God. Why do so many Christians seem to wish for that?

      THURZA HEIM Christians should hope and pray that there isn't an eternal torture chamber awaiting those who chose to reject God? Why would we hope and pray eternal punishment isn't real if God has already told us it is real? We hope and pray no one ends up there and that is precisely why it MUST be included in the message we share with others. Preach Christ and warn of the consequences of rejecting Him. That's is the WHOLE message...

      THURZA HEIM I'm afraid you are as blinded as the girl in this video. What Rob Bell says is irrelevant if in contradicts what GOD's word says. Why should Christians wish that hell doesn't exist if a Holy GOD has said it does exist...for who? Those who have rejected HIS word, HIS grace, HIS love and HIS Son. HE doesn't want them to go there - that's why HE sent his Son and inspires men to record and preserve HIS word. You are following men, not GOD, because GOD convicts you, but men like Bell and Prince tickle your ears with things that sound right, but are really contrary to the what the Bible has said. Choose this day whom you will serve...

      I do know whom I serve. There are many references to "hell" in the Bible. It appears the "lake of fire" is prepared for the devil & his angels. Hell is separation from God. Could a God really be described as "loving" if He resorted to "eternal torture" for His creatures, the one's he created because of His great Love, just for choosing not to love Him in return (which is the glorious hallmark of a truly loving God--to give your creatures the "choice" to love or not to love)? If we are to relate to God as our "Loving Father," what EARTHLY father would see to it a disobedient child was tortured, with no end?? No, hell is God respecting the choice of one of His creatures not to love Him, so he grants eternal separation--outside of His Presence for ever! We can't even imagine what that would be like! I caution you Christians who want to present God as a tyrant! Think about it...God's Glory is that He is ALL-Powerful, and He chooses to LIMIT His Power for the sake of His LOVE!

    • @RPM11111
      @RPM11111 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      THURZA HEIM said "Think about it...God's Glory is that He is ALL-Powerful, and He chooses to LIMIT His Power for the sake of His LOVE!"
      I agree, because of the grace and love HE shows toward men, GOD limits the use of HIS power to meet the counsel of HIS will. However, in the entire verse you are referring to (Matt 25:41), Jesus says "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, 'depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels'." Who are those "on the left"?
      Do you think that GOD, who gave HIS only Son, Jesus, to die for our sins, is somehow not going to fulfill what HE had Him say regarding the outcome of those who reject what GOD has done to Save HIS people? The warning is part of the act of love - "GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9b)", but HE doesn't force us to love HIM and receive Jesus as our Saviour.

    that girl is back sliding on the words coming out of her mouth...she wants to please the world before telling them truth.... too many Christians like her in the world, she loves people but don't want to offend them with the truth... Hell is real don't go there.

    • @thurzaheim
      @thurzaheim 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jesus told us to love people...love our neighbor as ourselves! I don't understand Christians who think they have to insult people, or scare people into the kingdom! It's obnoxious, and portrays spiritual pride and arrogance. And, there is no such thing as "backsliding." That's a pentecostal term...it does not exist in scripture (in fact the "concept" of backsliding is not in scripture) and it's judgmental.

    • @morganmore6
      @morganmore6 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      THURZA HEIM when I use the term backsliding I mean going away form God's word after you are saved. So yes there is such a thing. and if you don't tell people the truth because you don't want to look bad or because you feel you look obnoxious you will have the Lord to answer too... it's his love you are to share with the world not your personal feelings on what people think... think of God first not what you LOOK like...think on what they have to lose and tell them. amen have a God bless day sister. and I am not Pentecostal I am a Christian first meaning God's word comes first.

      If we love the people enough we would rather become small and hated then not telling them the truth. Just as Jesus did. just as all the profets did. That is what we do rather then comforting them while they need to surrender to Jesus. Its not about strenghtening sinners in their sin but showing them their state so they might run to Jesus. It is not about being loved it is about telling them what they need to know. Not about what they like to know. The bible warns not to strenghten sinners. i see a man here very humble who understands very well that if he wants to serve the master he is also going to be hated.

      @thurzaheim 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Morgan More So your interpretation of Paul's statement in 2 Timothy 4:3 means that unless we are abrasive, insulting or obnoxious, we haven't preached "sound doctrine.?" The gospel message can/should be presented in a way that draws people. What kind of a relationship would a parent and child, husband and wife or friends have if the only reason to have that relationship is fear of torture?
      And considering the present day culture we have, is randomized "street preaching" really an effective way to preach the gospel? There are so many kooks out there. I've heard lots of street preachers, and some of them say really crazy things. Our most effective witness is the way we live out the gospel in our everyday lives! That is worth much more than words! If one lives in America, one can hardly get though a day without hearing something about Christ. The gospel is all over radio, TV, internet...there are churches everywhere. But most of all, there are Christians everywhere...living out the gospel and sharing the gospel with whomever they come in contact.
      Bottom line, it isn't, necessarily, the message this man is preaching, but the way in which it is being given. That's why I agree with the woman's criticism.

    People just hate Jesus. She might be a saved person, but she appears to be slightly ashamed... The Bible says: "If you deny me in front of your friends I'll deny you before my father." So it's like you are faking your Christianity. God days go spread the Gospel and if stating it as the facts is wrong..then how do we do it?
    The Bible says: "Some save with fear pulling them out of the fire, hating even the agreement spotted by the flesh." Sometimes scaring them is how it works, but that's not with all people.
    My sister is lost, and if the only way she could be saved was for me to die, I'd die

    • @DonnaQuijota
      @DonnaQuijota 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry about your sister, but there's still time....
      now, if you knew your dead not only wouldn't save her, but would put her even further from God, would you still die for her? because that's the point of the girl in the video. This preaching has shown not to help for most people, but to put them more and more away from God
      :(

    • @andrewmcmillan6972
      @andrewmcmillan6972 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      DonnaQuijota I don't think it does. I think if we are silent entirely about it, they are NEVER going to find out.
      The Bible says: But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
      4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
      5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
      6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Cor 4:3-12.
      If we don't give that Gospel in some way, it's hidden from them.
      Preaching out in teh open isn't wrong and whether I took them aside or not, it wouldmore than likely be the same reaction because they have been blinded.
      Mark 16:15: And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
      PREACH not just live it. We are supposed to verbally enunciate the cruciality of living in sin so people come to Christ.
      These are Jesus' words, last time I checked, He was never wrong.
      And if dying for my sister pushed her away, no I wouldn't do it, but I'd say that she is comepletely CRAZY to rebel against God.

    • @DonnaQuijota
      @DonnaQuijota 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's the point. if preaching (like this guy, in public places; emphasizing in God's anger) is putting people away, maybe we should think of different means. it's 2016, there are millions of ways of spreading a word and delivering messages to people. there's a wide range between shouting to random people that God is angry at them on a public park and "silenting the gospel entirely ". A guy blindly preaching whatever to whoever is either not careing for other people's soul but just showing off or being selfish, or being lazy on thinking of an effective way of getting.people to think seriously about God and the afterlife...

    • @andrewmcmillan6972
      @andrewmcmillan6972 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      DonnaQuijota I have never seen him prwach angrily, but itis good to let people know that God's wrath DOES abide upon them. (John 3:36:He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.)
      How do you win people to Christ?

    • @DonnaQuijota
      @DonnaQuijota 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andrew McMillan same way you win people for anything else... I don't know... a radio show, an article on a magazine, a website, just to mention a few means....
      and also, emphasizing on His love and not His anger.... so people won't come to God because they fear Him, but because they love Him.... When you love somebody, you won't want to hurt him, because you just don't want to.... not because you fear that he'll go mad.... it should be the same here... it is about love in the FIRST place.....
      On the other hand, a more effective way, for what I've seen, is with works... people tend to get interested on religion when they see religious people carrying that love in the shape of good works...
      but, at the end of the day.... the truth is that it is extremely hard to get an adult person who is angry with God to go back to Him :( that's why we should be much more careful and, at least! make an effort not to push them further... even when we feel desperated, be patient, pray a lot, and try to make it clear for them that, even if there were no hell out there, you would still, always, chose to follow God's commands and that nobody is pushing you there, not even God (who actually gave you free will to chose!)

    We are all in rebellion against God until we repent and are saved and she is a perfect example. I can’t even compare my new Life in Christ with how frustrated I used to be. When I let God take the reigns everything changed. I never knew the peace I feel now. You can’t put a price on that and you will find it nowhere else except through Christ.

The word of Elohim is no respector of person's, it will expose the darkness in any one. Those covered by the blood of Yahshua(Jesus) to the Unsaved. I love how evangelicals bitch about people judging them yet are the first ones to complain how others are "backsliders" and "heathens". What evangelicals really are are a bunch of god damn hypocrites, hiding behind a bible to cast aspersions and - oh wow - judge. Just because this woman doesn't adhere to your standard of particular christian worship means her faith is any less important or valid. If anything, it shows that a more reasonable,logical and progressive perspective simply makes more sense than strict antiquated biblical doctrine. You know, the one that doesn't always require jesus freaks to bible thump everyone & put aside the hellfire preachiness.. Thankfully, Friel (the preacher in the video) and his ilk are a dying breed . Quickly, I must add. Talking about a so-called god that only hates Man unless the ENTIRE planet "repents" only proves all the more how illogical and non-existent it really is. Is it any wonder even batshit crazy preachers like Pat Robertson distance themselves from evangelicalism because of its incompetence & incoherent logic.

      Roberto Perez you're welcome brother, and that's exactly right. I'm laughing like crazy how these demon infested people on here, wanting to argue and make statements for conversation. Every time they open their mouth filth and uncleaness comes out. Proving their blinded by sin and darkness not knowing of the coming judgments coming on this planet. But demons will manifest,lmbo omg he he. When the word of Elohim is being spoken they will cuss,swear,blaspheme, ready to fight etc.Especially the sodomite and witchcraft spirits. Remember when Yahshua(Jesus) would begin to teach in the synagogues, the demon infested people would begin to cry out. Some begged him not to torment them before their time lmbo. And so we have it still happening today. They will say or do anything to try to keep the pure word of Elohim(God) from coming forth. I've seen them cry out during deliverance sessions and when the word is being taught. You stay blessed my brother and the blood of Yahshua(Jesus) covers you and all the saints on here covered by his blood. And keep ignoring those demon infested unclean spirits. when their only looking for an argument and making stupid statements. Todd was doing the right thing and the girl was even helping Todd. Thats the ironic thing.

Love you man and you were so kind to another believer that out of everyone in the crowd she needed to hear you the most imagine that. ❤️ praise God for saving you to proclaim truths that not all will accept. ***** You're confused by what the media sells as Christianity, Don.
      Before looking at what a biblical worldview is, let’s consider what it is not.
      1) A Biblical worldview is not merely holding to Christian morals. Certainly, Christian morals flow from a Biblical worldview, but one could hold Christian morals without having the Biblical foundations to ground those morals. One can even hold to Christian morals for wrong reasons, including mere tradition, convenience, or a legalistic attempt at God’s approval.
      Unfortunately, it is common for students to be taught Christian morals without being taughtwhy those morals are true. However, moral values not grounded in truths that transcend one’s context no longer make sense when the context changes. This sort of faith is highly volatile, especially in today’s world of ever-changing contexts.
      The Bible grounds morality in God Himself. Because the Biblical worldview begins with a Creator, we live in a world that was designed-not a random place with arbitrary rules. Moral norms flow from God’s character, expressed in His design for His creation.
      2) A Biblical worldview is not just living life with Bible verses attached. Many Christians only know the Bible in bits and pieces. Verses and chapters are taken out of context to supplement or “Christianize” their life, and Biblical narratives are only useful for finding that moral nugget to apply to our lives. In this approach, the Bible is merely a therapeutic tool and never alters one’s orientation to life. These Christians view the Bible through the lens of their existent worldview, rather than having their worldview framed by the Bible.
      3) A Biblical worldview is not automatic from being “saved”. One can be redeemed and yet not fully think or act like a Christian. The apostle Paul spoke to believers about taking ideas captive (2 Cor. 10), not being taken captive by bad ideas (Col. 2), being transformed by renewing of our minds (Rom. 12), and growing in discernment (Phil. 1).
      4) A Biblical worldview is not Christian reactionism. This is our reputation in culture, and it is well earned. Worldview rhetoric is often nothing more than code language for defensively reacting to all the bad things in culture. Rather than a view of and for the world, it becomes just a view against the world.
      This is a truncated understanding of the Gospel and a poor definition of the term worldview that ignores the rich history of Biblical worldview thinkers. Salvation is not just from sin; it is also to life. Because we have the capacity to know God’s design for life, humanity, and the cosmos, as well as the impact of the fall on this design, Christians carry the capacity to contribute to the culture, rather than only railing against it.
      Biblical Worldview: What It Is
      While a full exposition is not possible here, I suggest that a Biblical worldview is unique from all other worldviews in at least three ways.
      1) A Biblical worldview is Biblically grounded. Jewish Rabbi Abraham Heschel once made the following comment about Christians:
      “It seems puzzling to me how greatly attached to the Bible you seem to be and yet how much like pagans you handle it. The great challenge to those of us who wish to take the Bible seriously is to let it teach us its own essential categories; and then for us to think with them, instead of just about them.”
      A Biblical worldview is one that is grounded in the Bible, not just in Biblical literacy. It is important to memorize the Scripture, but memorization is not the goal; transformation is (Rom. 12:1-2, 2 Tim. 3:16-17). A consistent Bible study time is important, but it is a means to a greater end. Rather than just being informed as to what the Bible says, we are to think Biblically about (and be Biblically oriented to) everything else. The Psalmist’s exhortation to hide the Word in our hearts is not just rote memorization, as Psalm 1 makes very clear.
      One of the great barriers to thinking biblically is relegating Christianity to “spiritual things,” rather than everything. This dichotomy is false and does injustice to the robust message of the Bible. The Bible is first and foremost a metanarrative, a grand, sweeping story that claims to be the true story of anything and everything that has ever existed. It begins with the beginning of all things, and ends with the end of all things. We, and all people, live in this story somewhere between Genesis and Revelation.
      Thus, the Bible sets the stage for all aspects of life and culture. The assumptions we think and live by should be Biblical ones, and we should build on these biblical assumptions when approaching theology, politics, economic theory, medical science, emerging technologies, the arts, human behavior, literature, criminal justice, international relations, or anything else.
      2) A Biblical worldview is culturally literate. Loving God fully by thinking deeply, discerningly, and truthfully about His world is essential to being a true disciple of Christ. According to the way the Bible presents the grand narrative of God’s redemptive plan, Christianity is neither a religion of ascetic withdrawal nor a dualistic philosophy that denigrates certain human activity as less than spiritual. Followers of Christ are called to dive deeply-and hopefully headfirst-into the significant historical and cultural issues of the human situation. As G.K. Chesterton said, “If Christianity should happen to be true-that is to say if its God is the real God of the universe-then defending it may mean talking about anything and everything.”
      Jesus makes this clear in his High Priestly Prayer recorded in John 17. Jesus prays for two groups of people, his disciples (vss. 6-12) and those who would believe because of the disciples’ testimony (vss. 20-22). For both groups, Jesus prays that the Father would be glorified as people came to know Jesus and thus received eternal life. Then, Jesus asks for an astounding thing: that his followers would not be taken from the world (vs. 15), but would be protected in the midst of the world by being oriented in the truth (vs. 17).
      The Biblical approach to culture is to understand it (2 Cor. 10; Dan. 1), confront it (Dan. 3-4; Acts 17), and contribute to it (Gen. 2; Jer. 29). The Bible transcends cultural trends and realities because the Bible is the context of all cultures. Therefore, we can speak truthfully and significantly to cultural trends and issues, blessing what is good and cursing what is evil.
      3) A Biblical worldview is defined by hope.
      Hope is a crucial aspect of the biblical approach to life and the world. Peter tells the persecuted church to “always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you” (1 Pet.3:15). Of all the reputations Christians have today, being hopeful is rarely one of them.
      Culturally, hope is in need of re-definition as it has come to mean nothing more than wishful thinking. “I hope he gets voted off American Idol,” or “I hope North Carolina makes it to the Final Four.” Wishful thinking lacks certainty because it is a hope for something.
      Biblical hope, however, is full certainty because Biblical hope is not a hope for; it is a hope in. biblical hope rests squarely in and on Christ-the Creator (John 1), Sustainer (Col. 1), and Redeemer (Rev. 4) of the entire human story.
      Christians often miss hope in one of two directions: optimism or despair. Optimism is the “feel good” expression of Christianity that is always positive, full of self-help advice, and offering safe Christian alternatives to all the evil stuff in the world. On the other hand, despair is the escapism that characterizes those who assume the world is headed straight to hell, and there really is nothing we can do about it. Politics, the arts, the courts, and the country are beyond influence and beyond change, and are therefore no place for the believer. We are only to wait for heaven, when we can escape this whole mess.
      Because of Christ, neither optimism nor despair is an option for the believer. How deeply broken must the world and we be for God (the Son) to die! Of course, He did not stay dead. He has risen. Death, in fact, has died and nothing that will ever happen in the history of the world will alter this certainty. Thus, despair is no option either.
      A Biblical worldview explains the profound goodness and the profound evil that is found in the world and the human heart. No other worldview can do this. Further, the Biblical worldview rests the story of the world and the human heart in the hands of a God who created and has invaded both.

Our generation our people have come to a point where we have lost common sense, patience and refuse to accept the truth just so we could be comfortable in our on beliefs which are FALSE. Those ppl were clapping bc they person opposite of the woman was a man who was spreading the truth people do not want to hear. But truth remains truth. Truth cannot be replaced or taken away. The Truth is the truth and these grown people refuse to hear others that are warning them about what would happen. So childish. I'll pray for all of those people tonight. ...and do you really think that you could enjoy heaven if you knew some of your friends and family, Ghandi were being tortured? Could you enjoy heaven if you knew that anyone was being tortured?
      The bible is morally corrupt, full of fundamental contradictions and historically inconsistent!
      Have you never read it all?

    • @herald4god
      @herald4god 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      PortabledexterActually according to my world history class, the bible is the most viable source for Jewish history. To call the bible morally corrupt is to judge it on a moral scale that could not exist without God, morality requires human value and you do not get such value without an intrinsic worth derived from creation. You name Ghandi, are you aware he studied Christ to get his conclusion that the Indian people must fight the cast system? Yet he still denied Christ as God. Open rejection of your creator who has a supreme authority over life as He has created it places you in a rejected eternity. It was was Ghandi's choice just as it is yours.

    • @herald4god
      @herald4god 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Portabledexter First of all express some morals by not speaking with such vulgarity, for someone that thinks morals exist because of social traditions clearly you have proven you cannot be moral without a supreme authority to judge actions. Second your claims are pulling bible out of context, there is no bible for such immoral acts, Christians are against abortions, were the first to challenge and defeat slavery, both puritans and Quakers were against it and they were the two largest protestant groups to come over to what would become America, just two examples of how Christians live different than what you claim the bible condones, either you are taking it out of context or all Christians are ignoring biblical truth. Also, explain to me how morals derive from a natural system? If ancient civilizations were responsible how would you hold anyone accountable for a moral system that is contrary and created through their own social traditions? You cannot live consistently. If there is no absolute moral system than how do you universally judge for any actions? For instance the east believes that the western world is the greatest evil in the world and the only way to achieve peace is if they are eliminated, how do you achieve peace through moral relativity? Only if there is a universal system of morality can you hold them accountable and achieve peace. Historians disagree read, 'understanding world societies vol.1' textbook, to see you are absolutely incorrect my college course taught the bible to be historically accurate, historians do not debate this, unless they are outside the sphere of knowledge and ignore the evidence.

    • @herald4god
      @herald4god 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Portabledexter in addition, most other religions do not present such a moral systems. Since most religions claim exclusivity it would take religious research to figure which exclusive religion is correct. Just because they each claim truth does not mean they cannot be measured and one single religion cannot be correct.

    • @Portabledexter
      @Portabledexter 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have obviously been brainwashed. For example, in the birth story of jesus historians dispute:
      That Herod was in power at the time
      That a census was called
      That during a census (which it well documented that they did have census's at the time) people had to travel to their home town to register.
      ...and these are just three of many.
      Suggesting that I read some bias textbook for school children to find out the 'truth' just because that is all you know is laughable at best and mildly insulting at worse, so no harm done there.
      You accuse me of acting immorally for using vulgar language. Words in themselves are not immoral and should not cause offense. The context in which I used them was to emphasise various points in a way that other language fails to do. For example FFS has no equivalent phrase of the same impact. To paraphrase Stephen Fry "people who are offended by swearing are fucking idiots".
      A quick lesson:
      Humans need to live in communities to survive. A single human on its own is basically a free lunch.
      Therefore we have always lived in groups or tribes out of necessity.
      If a tribe had no basic morals such as do not kill each other and don't steal from each other then they would not survive very long, and their genes would not be passed on.
      We have therefore evolved to have a social nature through natural selection, and this includes having morals.
      As for christians ignoring biblical 'trith', you have hit the nail squarely on the head. If you actually read the whole bible (and actually think about what you are reading) there are loads of bits that christians ignore because it is morally wrong.
      How you decided this because you claim the bible to be the source of your religion and morals, is exactly the same way that atheists work out what is right and wrong ie. not by following the bible. In other words the bible is often wrong morally. How can you still believe the other bits?
      Also you state that christians are against abortion as the correct moral stance, not because you have weighed up the pros and cons based on studies and reason, but because the same book that tells you to stone a rape victim to death told you so. This is not an acceptable viewpoint.
      The same stupid assumption is then made against stem cell research, of which there is no real moral argument against (at least abortion has two valid arguments to discuss), and this is slowing down one of the greatest scientific breakthroughs ever. This means that the bible is responsible for the deaths of many people who could have been saved.
      You have already admitted that you choose to ignore some moral teachings of the bible, so I put it to you:
      If the bible is of devine inspiration and morals are given by god, who the fuck are you to decide when god is right and when he is wrong?
      (Did you like the use of swearing to emphasise the last point? It wouldn't have the same impact if other language was used!).
      Kind regards.
