The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq5 Is A Fast Charging Uniquely Styled Premium Electric Vehicle

แชร์

  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 23 เม.ย. 2022
  • The #HyundaiIoniq5 and its cousin the Kia EV6 offers plenty to like for shoppers looking for a credible alternative to a Tesla. #Hyundai developed the #Ioniq5 from the ground up to be a dedicated #ElectricVehicle that also runs on the quick charging 800 volt architecture. This #Ioniq5Limited is the fully loaded model with dual motor AWD which means up to 256 miles of range and 0-60 in under 5 seconds.

Are you guys team Ioniq 5 or EV6? Also, Hyundai did confirm an Ioniq5 N is coming, we filmed this review before that was confirmed. We should be driving the new Genesis GV60 and EV6 GT later this year. Stay tuned! This platform is definitely the new benchmark EV in the segment.

Ioniq 5! I've seen a few of each on the road now and the EV6 just doesn't do it for me. It's nice and yes, it has a few feature advantages over the Ioniq 5. Still, the unique styling of the Ioniq 5 and hatchback like proportions are very appealing to me. I'm tired of every new vehicle coming out looking like every other SUV. And the fact that they're all SUVs. With the Ioniq 5 I could lie to myself and say I have a big hatchback.

@@Agent00J I was team EV6 (because of the same pragmatic reasons) until I sat in the Ioniq 5 and experienced the car in person, and oh boy, this car is so special inside-out. The interior is so well-built and the simplicity which makes it less photogenic actually makes it feel very nice. It is *such* a joyful car, compared to the achingly dull ID.4.

This would be a tough choice for me . . . the EV6 seems to have a better interior, better laid out, better looking and more intuitive if a bit tighter on space. The exterior for me is all Ionic 5; awesome looking, especially in this colour. I love the panoramic roof but the EV6's moonroof will open, so a tie. A softer ride for my old bones would give a leg up to the Ionic 5.
I'd have to drive them both.

The buttons for heated, ventilated, and heated steering wheel buttons on the EV6 and the dash looks a lot better without the giant obvious blank space between the screens. Oh also the longer range in the EV6 is nice too. Waiting with baited breathe for the GV60. My new daily will either be an EV6 or GV60. I also think the EV6 has a more comfortable ride do to the better dampening, the Ionic 5 seems to crash over expansion joints in comparison, like the suspension components aren't a 100% harmonious with each other.

It's a really good design. I am in need of a new utility and it doesn't need to be large however the Sante Fe PHEV is just a better option. Almost the same Federal tax credit, $10k cheaper, larger and can tow a small trailer which I need.

You can probably remove the badge yourself if it's just a stick-on one. Granted my vehicle is really old now, but I removed all the rear badges from my Toyota Yaris except for the main one in the center right after I bought it. It had "TOYOTA" on one side and "YARIS" on the other. I just carefully used a heat gun and a plastic pry tool and took the badges off, then used goo-gone to remove any remaining adhesive. It was really easy.

Engine sound (or lack of): Did the Model-T sound like horses?? ;-) It's an electric, why mimic an ICE? Also, as an owner, I can tell you that 350KW is not the charging rate, it's actually in the 240 KW range depending on battery temps and SOC. No where has Hyundai ever stated it has a 350KW charge rate. Above 55%, the max rate starts to slow. Cheers, Steve
